@jaxalia - Love the term “moderate outdoors people” My husband and I are the same. We love all the outdoorsy stuff but definitely don’t get out to do it as often as we’d like.
@mrspants0809 - I’m a true crime podcast fan as well! Do you have a favorite? Mine is True Crime Obsessed.
This was me an DH’s 2nd cycle trying this time. POAS yesterday and it was negative during the window. Saw it later in the day and chalked it up to an evap line. Tested this morning (12dpo) and it was a perfect BFP.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
DH and I have 14 month old DS and 3 dogs. I’m 37 and DH is 41. I work for a home builder. I love to garden, cook and go camping (when we can!). We are currently house hunting and it’s been stressful. I absolutely love all the women from my O’19 bmb and hopefully I get to stick around this time!
First appointment? Any symptoms?
I’ll call first thing Monday morning. I’m high risk till the pregnancy is located. Currently feeling a little light headed but it may be partly shock from getting pregnant so quickly this time. A little queasy and crampy too.
TW- our first pregnancy was an early MC. Second was an ectopic that wasn’t discovered till 10weeks resulting in two emergency surgeries and the loss of my left tube. I’ll be hopping over to the PGAL thread to show some support as well.
*edit, DS is 14 months not 18 months... there goes my brain lol
@dancingnarwhal I haven’t listened to that one yet. I like/have listened to MFM, Two Face, The Murder Squad, Casefile, Cold, In the Dark, Missing and Murdered, Someone Knows Something. The last 3 are some of my favorites.
Yes exactly @dancingnarwhal! DH and I met while we were camping and spent most of our summers at the lake, but it’s crazy how much life gets in the way of finding time to get out there. It doesn’t help that I’m in Michigan, and I would say I’m not a winter outdoorsy person 😂 so a good period of the year you’ll find me in my house under the blankets haha I told my husband we officially have to get our fireplace built before the babe is here for next winter.
@dancingnarwhal@mrspants0809 I love a good true crime podcast! Currently listening to Morbid as I’ve burnt out a bit on MFM. Also highly recommend Up and Vanished and Serial.
How did you find out? POAS today because I thought FF got my o date wrong after my loss... I am hopeful that this is real and not left over hormones from my MMC in November.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a 4.5 y/o daughter, two cats and live in a tiny house. I love sewing and crafting
How did you find out? I decided to start testing at 9 dpo in hopes that this was our month. Got a squinter that day, another very faint the next day, and at 11 dpo decided to to use the digital I had, couldn’t question that result!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
DH and I have 3 boys, 7, almost 5, and 2 years old. I was fairly active on my oldest’s board (Apr 13), but mostly lurked on the other ones (Jan 16) and (Oct 18). I would really like to be more active this go around. We have a dachshund/lab mix, also a boy! I work at a local bakery as a cake decorator. We love being outdoors... hiking and kayaking. We live in a city with awesome local breweries and love going to those, as well as traveling and going to concerts... although we haven’t done much of that recently.
*TW*
We thought we were done at 3, but had a surprise pregnancy in March. We lost that one in April, and since then it’s felt like someone was missing. We then had a CP in October. I feel good about this one, but I’m still really nervous.
First appointment? Any symptoms? I went into the office on Friday to get base levels and will go back tomorrow to see how they’re progressing 🤞🏻🤞🏻
So far I’ve been a bit crampy and achey, and my stomach has felt a bit off.
Hoping this is our rainbow and that I’ll get to know you ladies through this journey!
@thereisalight I know 😭 except Feb for mine because she was due at the end of the month and then was two weeks post dates. Can't believe our babies are getting so grown up.
Married DW 08.2013; AI 2x; IUI 6x; IUI #7 05.2015; DD born 2.2016 ; Reciprocal IVF FET #1 on 11.18.2020
How did you find out? 3 days late, tested Sunday to a surprise BFP. We have struggled with infertility for a decade or more - I lost track. 2 IUI, 2 egg retrievals, 3 FETs, 2 losses. This is our first spontaneous pregnancy and we totally weren't trying, just enjoying quarantine ☺
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm 37 (38 in 4 weeks) hubby is 43. We have 1 foster son that has been with us for a year in January. Absolutely love this kiddo. He's 14 and we hope we have the opportunity to adopt him (this is his wish as well). 1 dog, a boxer mix rescue that will be 4 in January, and a new boxer puppy that will be 8wks and ready to come home to us January 7th (our other pups birthday). Funny coincidence, The puppy was born on the first day of my last period, so tracking the pups age is tracking right with this pregnancy.
First appointment? Any symptoms? Had a blood test yesterday and will get the results sometime this morning. Had some light brown mucousy discharge Sunday, breasts have been sore for over a week, heartburn was kicking in last night and have experienced some very mild cramping, more twinges than cramps really.
@BourbonBiscuits I am right with you on the countdown to 10 weeks. I will be a bundle of anxiety until we get past that....and probably after too 🤷🏼♀️
Tested at 14dpo 12/12/20 because the femometer app told me to test.
My husband and I have had quite a year. We got married, bought a house, bought a new car, and got our BFP in 2020. I have a little girl who is 3 years 8 months from a previous marriage. We also have 2 cats.
So far no symptoms other than some boob pain and lack of a period. First appointment is scheduled for January 19.
We’ve been trying the last 4 mo so I’ve been keeping super close track of my cycle. I tested + at 9 dpo. Perfect timing because DH’s bday was the next day! I put a bun in the oven and told him his last gift was in there. Lame I know and it took him forever to get it but it was still fun!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) DH and I just had our 8th wedding anniversary. We live in CO and have 2 little humans. No pets. Well we do have a gorgeous GSD but he’s living at MIL’s because he’s so much happier with a ranch to run around on instead of a townhouse. DS just turned 2 and DD is 10mo. Just so nobody has to ask, yes, all our babies were planned lol. I’ve always wanted to have my kids (4 at least hopefully) close together and after a rough start getting pregnant with our first, have been extremely blessed! DH owns a tree planting business and I’m a SAHM. I love the outdoors (camping, fishing, hiking), cooking, macrame (just started but I love it!), board games... DH and I love watching UFC fights together but other than that I’m not into sports at all.
First appointment? Any symptoms? I just messaged my midwife today to tell her I’d be needing a spot on her schedule! First appointment is set for 1/25. Seems SO far away but I know it’ll go by quickly. Taking care of 2 littles makes the days go by insanely fast!
Hormones have already hit me like a freight train. I’ve been incredibly ragey for absolutely no reason whatsoever since 7 dpo which is definitely out of character even though I’m a red head lol. I’ve also been ravenously hungry but that’s no surprise as I’m still nursing both kids and growing another one now.
How did you find out? PO(a lot of)S. I have about 40 OVRY strip tests left and I anticipate that I will use them all up.
Tell us about yourself? MH and I have been married for 8 years. We have two kiddos, an almost 4yo (Feb 17 BMB) and a 2yo. We live in Atlantic Canada and enjoy spending time on the many trails/beaches nearby. I like sewing, have recently taken up block printing, and enjoy a good home DIY project as well as weird and complicated board games. TW loss
I had a brief 3 week stint on the June 2021 BMB, but I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks while we were on holiday in a remote part of the province. I am trying to "let go of what was and surrender to what is" but PGAL brain has me on edge.
First appointment? I have a phone call with my family doctor this Friday to set up first prenatal appointment and first trimester bloodwork.
Welcome @pickle-chips!! I love your username 😂 also constantly PO(LOTS OF)S. I bought a ovulation and test set when we decided to try and I have about 90 tests at my disposal lol
Would love to hear what board games you're into - I just bought my husband a few 2 player board games for us to get into since we're home for the holidays.
@jaxalia Haha sadly we’re moderate outdoors people too. We love it but just don’t make the time to get out much for anything other than walks to the park with the kids.
@Gwyneddlesliegrace Ever since my first home birth I’ve dreamed of becoming a midwife!
@jaxalia ooh! What games did you get? I just ordered Illimat for our Christmas board game gift tradition—I guess technically it is a card game. It's a The Decemberists collab (love their music) and illustrations are done by one of my fave illustrators (Carson Ellis).
We love Splendour, Lords of Waterdeep, 7 Wonders (and 7 Wonders Duel), Humans!!!...umm, more but I am drawing a blank.
@pickle-chips I picked up 7 wonder duel, the fox in the forest (and the fox in the forest duet), and patchwork. I’m really excited to dive into them all!
We also love playing Tales of Evil, mysterium, and other games like catch phrase, phase 10, etc. my favorite video game to play right now is Overcooked 😂 but it gets us into fights.
How did you find out? Noticed my period was 6 days late, took a test and bam it was yes + immediately.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner? I am a crunchy, sah mom of two (dd 4 and ds 3). I have a dh of 8 years, he just started working again thank goodness. I have two dogs, an old old old mini dauschound and a year old Pitt. Also have a cat- he's orange and old and floofy. Mostly it's trying to entertain my kids until bedtime but earlier last month we took out our bathroom downstairs. A bold move but there was mold and it needed removed. Love to play board games after the kiddos head to bed. I still talk to the ladies of my first board. Looking forward to getting to know you all.
First appointment? Symptoms? I haven't called yet to make it but I will before the end of the week. I already feel a little sea sick so I ordered my sea bands.... Praying they arrive before tonight.
Hey y'all just got my positive test on Monday and I've been testing every day since lol, the line is getting darker every day! Based off my last period and my 34 day cycle, I'll be due August 21st.
This is my 3rd baby and most likely our last! I got my IUD out in early November and got pregnant instantly. Anyone else ever get pregnant straight off the Mirena??
I have two girls, one just turned 5 and the other is 2. We have two dogs, one cat, and 5 chickens.
I work as a Medical Technologist in a lab and I'm going to school right now to get my Master's in Chemistry. My husband works in landscaping.
Symptoms so far have been fatigue, nausea which is unusual for me and I've been so bloated!
I haven't made an appointment yet! I have been blessed with healthy pregnancies in the past and this being my third I am in no rush.
@Panaceia I don’t know if you remember me or not, but we were in July 2019 together! I wasn’t super active after the second trimester, but remember your username!
Due date? August 28th
How did you find out? I have been testing since 10 DPO, and got a “squinter” yesterday morning. This morning a clear but thin line, and this afternoon a little darker.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a 17 month old daughter, two dogs, and two cats. Small zoo at my house, but never a dull moment. Just trying to make it work with all the Covid craziness, I am currently working from home and my husband works in the office.
First appointment? Any symptoms? No appointment yet. I wanted to see a clearer line to be sure. I will probably call tomorrow or Monday. I have been crampy this week, like mild period cramps. This has me kind of nervous because I didn’t experience this with my last pregnancy. Trying to be optimistic though, and just taking things day by day.
@ematurn23 ***dirty lurker from the July 2021 board*** I got pregnant with my third right after my Mirena was removed. I didnt know I was pregnant until 2 months in as I kept waiting for AF 🙄 congrats!
@tiggywiggles luckily well I guess not luckily lol, but I still had a period throughout my use of the Mirena so I knew when it was expected. I cannot imagine finding out 2 months after I had it out that I was actually pregnant lol! And thank you!! We are so excited!! @jaxali it is making me paranoid that something is wrong!! I thought for sure it would take a while, but I guess the timing was right ☺️
How did you find out? Started testing early and got a faint line at 8DPO..getting darker each day.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Married with a cat and a dog. Love to garden and be outside.
TW: Had a MC at 6 weeks last November. We decided to take a break for a bit after, but have been TTC since a August of this year. Full of anxiety and can't stop testing now...
First appointment? Any symptoms? Going in for a test Dec 28th. My sense of smell is crazy and sore boobs!
How did you find out?: Early detection pregnancy test (was negative) and then for the heck of it, I did it again supposed first day of period and got three BFP! (one digital kind and two line kinds)!
About me: I have DD age 3, will be 4 in March. We have one cat, who lovedddddd DD as an infant so I'm sure she's excited for another baby! DH and I have been trying to two months and have been blessed with this positive result super early! Super nervous about it but hey! I'm currently a PhD student in biomedical sciences, five years here, hopefully one more year until I'm done! Also, I have NOT been on the bump in a while, so I'll def be re-learning navigating the site and how to properly respond to these discussion boards LOL is there a way to join this group?
Any symptoms: frequent peeing, and don't know if this is my lactose intolerance acting up, BUT also going #2 a lot? Anybody with me there? It's so weird
First appt: I was actually already scheduled for a yearly pelvic exam Dec 23rd with my Ob/Gyn, but I guess now it'll be a different type of appt LOL
