@andreamm31- ugh poor communication is the worst! How many embryos do you have at the clinic over there? Not sure how finances are, but I had a good experience using my in house donor pool at FCI in Chicago. I’m not sure if they ship embryos, but would be worth looking into maybe.... they do use a frozen egg bank too if you don’t want to go fresh.

@JamieH2000. We only have 1 embryo left over there. She wrote me back this morning and her response was sooooo vague and didn't really give me an answer. She basically said it is really expensive, tricky, and that a lot of clinics will not accept donated embryos. She said not to worry because I have free cryopreservation till 2022 ....like I can wait 2 more years to try and have a kid. grrrrrrr. She also ignored my concern about EU being closed and said they are starting to let people back in and she thinks that when I am ready to go, I should be able to get back in. Our news makes it seem like we are banned for a long time....not sure what they hear over there. I think by September, if they are not open, I will contact my clinics here and see what we can do. We are planning on buying a house and selling my condo and maybe we can save some of our profits for a cycle here. I guess since I am sidelined for 2 more months, I should just stop trying to plan and relax and wait to see what happens in September. I also think you are right and I should look at frozen eggs.....that would definetly save a lot of money.

Ummmm what a bunk response!!! Free cryopreservation is SO not the issue! Person clearly doesn’t understand what infertility is like. Ugh! Sorry you had to deal with that. Do you have a budget for another DE cycle? I think my clinic in Utah was approx. 22K for a fresh cycle. They have a lot of folks who come in from out of state to do cycles with them because they have a good database. If you are on FB, there's a closed group called UFC Donor Egg Mamas you can request to join if you're interested in exploring the idea. They do transfers at the St. George clinic as well, which would be closer to you (6 hours?) if you're driving from SD plus you get a nice vacay through Zion NP if you like I think they also work with Donor Egg Bank for frozen cycles but tend to recommend fresh cycles. There are certain donors that are big producers and you can do a shared cycle, where UFC shares half the eggs with DEB or another UFC couple. That would save you money. A friend of mine did that and ended up with 8 PGS normal embryos and they only want one more kid so now they have an embarrassment of riches.
Anyway, sorry you had to deal with all that lady Lmk if you want more info on the UFC program, it's been a good experience for me and I love my coordinator.
@lucyb1954 That is a great price! And for a single cycle being only $22,000!! A shared cycle would be super affordable. That is not a bad idea at all. If we cant get back to Prague this fall, I am going to look into this for sure. I would be ok taking a 3 week vacation and heading over there for a cycle if I have to. Would you mind sharing the website and your coordinators info via private message. I hadn't thought too much about doing a cheaper cycle in the States because I really didn't think any were affordable, but this gives me hope!

Thanks to all for their comments and advice on Lupron Depot. Needless to say I'm not looking forward to this medicine. But it does give me some hope for future cycles. I also got my ERA test back and it said I needed to do the transfer 12 hours later. So, these tests actually may provide some answers.
andreamm31 - If the coordinator in Prague is new and not giving you a firm answer on shipping your embryo I would ask to talk to one of the higher ups at the clinic to get a straight answer; if she's new maybe she doesn't know what she's talking about. And it's true that some clinics won't accept outside embryos but that would be simple enough to find out your home clinic's position on that. I'm so sorry you're having to navigate all of this.
@lyrnwnab- so glad you did the ERA!! i really think that info can be a game changer!!!
-@c-town18- thank you! tww is going pretty fast since I was up north all weekend by my family's lake house. just a few more days! I am debating testing early... but also somewhat supersitous since last time I waited for the call and it was positive.... we will see!

@lrynwnab I'm so happy to hear that the test results have given you some answers. My ERA results also showed that I was pre-receptive. My second FET (first following the ERA) was a BFP. I'm hoping for the same for you.
@lrynwnab just to share my experience, I did the depot Lupron for 1 month. It has been recommended I do 3 months after doing this test called an EFT. It had diagnosed me with moderate glandular developmental arrest. I’m not sure I believe in the EFT. It’s a test from Yale. Anyway I didn’t want to do the 3 months so I did 1. I did the test prior to transferring either of my PGS normal embryos I had made. Neither of those stuck though:(. but then I got pregnant naturally the very next cycle? Which ended in miscarriage at 8 weeks due to Chromosome abnormalities and then got pregnant with donor egg embryo without doing any depot Lupron, so I really don’t know about the EFT. They said they didn’t have research on any length of time less than 3 months helping with implantation but I just didn’t want to do it for that long because it had taken me over a year to cycle 6 times (2 canceled) and get 2 normal embryos and do all these other tests and procedures I pressed for, so it was mostly impatience. From the one month I can say the hot flashes are intense especially at night, but you will survive it! I know a women who did it and had successful transfers afterwards and she was in her mid 40’s so that’s pretty awesome.
Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease Homozygous MTHFR Cr677 DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high) 2 iui's to start - BFN IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.

DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos 1st transfer - chemical pregnancy 2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!
Ladies, very very delayed but I’m putting my birth story here, it’s the abridged version believe it or not, lol. i am sorry it’s not in a spoiler box. Please don’t read on if you have any triggers around birth, c-section, babies, etc! As a reminder this baby was made with a donor egg. I have not updated it since writing it so it’s weeks out of date with the end part updating on my own health.
This board was the first board I ever engaged with other people and actually talked about infertility and low amh and all the other drama...it’s where I first followed a donor egg journey (Jamie’s) and found hope in that journey for myself when my own eggs continued to fail me. So posting this here does feel a bit like my end chapter which is nice:) I have sent a couple of you this already but then I lost track of who had requested it, cuz I’m the worst. And the baby has eaten my brain basically.
Going back to May 2020——
As a refresher, my doctor had insisted on induction due to the possibility of a failing placenta since it’s an IVF pregnancy and I’m 39. We all know I wasn’t happy about that but decided to just go with his recommendations.
I arrived at the hospital in NYC at 10:30pm, I’d already gotten my mandatory Covid test but it was about 52 hours prior and they need it to be 48 hours or less so I was tested again. I went though intake where I had blood drawn and answered loads of questions. I had a really bad feeling about everything right from the get go. Once hooked up to the IV and monitors for contractions and babies heart rate, the machine kept going off because my heart rate was too low. I was so nervous and my heart was like 40bpm. It’s usually like 65-70 or more soooooo, people kept coming in asking me I was an athlete. No. No I am not. Then even before starting the cervical softener, babies heart rate would dip super low and then eventually come back but not before more people would rush into the room to ask me to shift the position I was lying in.
The cervical softener was in by midnight and babies heart rate continued to take dips and I continued to have the heart rate of a zen master. The machines kept going off for both my and her vitals. We started the petosin in the AM around 8am on 0 hours of sleep. They had me on an IV for hydration too that made me have to get up and wheel the IV into the bathroom to pee every 45 minutes. It was kinda bananas. I kept asking to be able to slow that drip because it was insane to have to pee that frequently when I was supposed to be “getting sleep” before the real fun began. Once contractions started, they were very very mild...I couldn’t even feel them more than period cramps but she wasn’t tolerating them at all. Her heart would dip with each contraction and take a bit of time to come back up. When we raised the pitocin and what was closer to real contractions started (I’m talking like 1 or 2 realish contraction but not the real real ones) we had to go back down and wait 30 cuz her heart dipped again and then need 30 minutes to make sure it stabilizes.
They had been doing cervical checks, every few hours. One doctor was so rough I screamed and blood gushed out. Wtf, and it was a woman doctor! My OBGYN made his way back to see me at the end of his day in the office and I was only 1 cm dialated. So he was like, ok, we could keep doing this but just know it’s going to be another 20+ hours and we don’t know if we will be able to get this baby out that way if she can’t tolerate the contractions, or we could reset, start this over after you get some rest and food, so go home and then come back and do the cervical softener again and work back up to this, or we could head into the OR for a c-section. These all sounded like terrible options...then he pulled the recordings the machine had been printing of the babies heart out and started going through it and changed his tune, called in the nurse, pointed out to her what he was seeing and said we were down to 2 options, keep going and see what happens, if baby continues to not tolerate it we would have to re-evaluate, or we head in for a c-section. DH and I were then left to talk it all over. I called my sister too. The fact that I was only 1 cm dialated and it had already been 16 hours, And there was no way to get sleep and I was terrified about the well being of the baby and concerned about my own health as well we decided to just go for the C-section.
I’ll skip the details of this part, even though they are kinda great but this is already toooo long....I’ll just say that once in there it was determined that my placenta was separating and also deemed “ratty” which my Dr. claimed is a medical term😳. So needless to say I’m glad we didn’t wait and evicted her on her due date after all.
When they finally tugged her out of me (my god C-section are a bit violent and forceful) we heard her start to cry and I couldn’t breath, I couldn’t believe it, everything felt so surreal...I kept saying”is she ok??” Over and over, and DH said, do you head her crying!! Can you believe that’s her???
She was brought over and very quickly held up to us for just a couple of seconds and I could barely believe my eyes that she was here and she was mine....and then swiftly she was taken away and DH was at some point also taken with her. This part is foggy. I was moved to a different area which was somehow post-op and pre-op and there was a lot of commotion and I kept asking where my baby was and if I could hold her or when I could hold her. I could see DH off in the distance with her and he basically started running back and forth between me and her, and the crowd of doctors and nurses got larger around me, and my machines kept freaking out which I wasn’t surprised by and my heart rate was now 36?!? And blood pressure 197 over something. (Apparently I got postpartum preclampsia!!?!! Which is a thing! But it’s rare.) A doctor finally spoke with me urgently and basically told me I was in danger of having a stroke or seizure and they couldn’t treat my sky high blood pressure with certain medications because it would lower my heart rate and my heart rate was for whatever reason still very very low. So they said this was an emergency and I needed to be put on a magnesium drip..so I said, ok do it!! DH tried to be like, wait everything is happening so fast, is this an emergency or do we have time to talk about it and they were like, we just said this is an emergency! They had already been hooking me up to an EKG which I forgot to mention they had already done one while I was in induction process and having the weird heart rate issues. I continued to ask about my baby and DH was asking them too if we could bring her over. Some nurses were getting annoyed because they were trying to hook up all this other shit to me and I wouldn’t stop asking for my baby, but I mean....at that point it had to have been at least an hour cuz it took around 30-40 to stitch me up and all that I think.... so I just wanted to hold her!!! Once they got the magnesium drip hooked up (omg that is a terrible terrible drug!! It makes you feel like you are inside of an oven at all times and either that or my blood pressure made me feel like I was on some weird drug that fucked with my vision and made my head feel like it could float away). I digress, once they hooked up the magnesium and were preparing to run the ekg, they finally brought her over to me. I couldn’t believe it. I was so overwhelmed, I clutched her to my chest and literally put my fist in the air victory style, holding my baby with a tangle of cables from the ekg across my chest, and my medical Covid mask securely fashioned to my face. DH took a picture of this and it will forever symbolize for me the end of this fucking voyage and the beginning of another journey.
Needless to say we were in the hospital for much longer than expected. They had been getting people out of there within 24 hours but I didn’t get cleared to leave for 5 days. My doctor let us go with a set of instructions, one being to monitor my blood pressure at home regularly and report into him, but then we were homeward bound:)
I’ve since been sent to a cardiologist due to continuing to have a very slow heart rate at times and they found 2 small leaks in 2 heart valves which they say can happen during pregnancy and are expected to heal themselves in 3-4 months😳! What?! I have never ever heard of such a thing!! But it explains my being so very short of breath still and this weird super heavy chest feeling when I lie down.
My blood pressure continues to be high but not emergency high and the cardio Dr. is very chill about it, he just wants me to monitor it. He and my OB have both directed me to get lots of sleep for my body to be able to heal itself and I keep wondering if either or them remember that
I just had a baby and that means “lots of sleep” is 100-% not possible. But I’m doing what I can:).

@JamieH2000@lucyb1954 yay your PASP!!! best of luck on your tww, sending lots of sticky dust your way!!! Jamie you went for pink this time, yay!!! so exciting!!
@lrynwnab so sorry for your losses. Did your RE suggest taking aspirin?
@c-town18 wishing you all the luck i the world now as its always random when the site will actually load for me! Its always blank now when i'm trying to load it up on my phone...still haven't figured out why.
@andreamm31- Your time away sounds amazing and exactly what you needed! So glad you're feeling better. You have been through so much emotionally and physically I know you want to get right back to business but you want to be ready for your miracle to make a home when you're ready to handle it.
@lauralew such exciting news! wishing you continued success, when do you get an US?
@lmajin99- you start to want to do every test to make sure you are ready when the time comes....my RE really didn't think i needed it BUT that still didn't mean a thing. I didn't do it and went ahead with my transfer and I was very lucky it worked!! If it wouldn't have i wouldn't have transferred again as it took forever to get normal embryos i wouldn't want to risk it without knowing for sure.

I don't know how this happens with a PGS normal embryo, but makes me terrified there is something wrong with my lining/uterus now too. I figured it wouldn't go easy (even tho it should with an ERA and PGS). but i forgot how much this pain hurts. Ugh. Just exhuasted of the 2 month process that it is to transfer...
@hopefuljj- thanks for posting your whole story. WOW. JUST WOW. I'm so sorry it all went like that.I had the magnesium and it is BRUTAL. but so glad you are both doing well now. So scary about the heart valves. Like seriously- haven't you been through enough!?! ughh we all deserve perfect health the rest of our lives.
@hoepfulmom- how you are doing?! Any thoughts on number 2 lately?

@hopefuljj - Whew!! Thanks for posting that. I was on the edge of my seat going through all kinds of emotions reading it! And I teared up and laughed at the fist pump. You deserved that moment. I'm glad everything turned out OK in the end. And especially that your doctor came in and saw something others didn't see.
@JamieH2000 oh lady I’m so so sorry! I had a chemical with my first donor PGS normal transfer, but the next one stuck. I was so scared since one of my own PGS normal embryos was also a chemical. I am so sorry lady, I know how much this sucks. You did the same protocol as last transfer right?
Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease Homozygous MTHFR Cr677 DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high) 2 iui's to start - BFN IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5 IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol Chemical pregnancy FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos 1st transfer - chemical pregnancy 2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!
@Hopeful_mom I had my first ultrasound this past Monday, July 6. I was 5w4d so I got to see a beautiful little yolk sac. I go back this upcoming Monday for my second ultrasound. Hopefully this week I should get to see the heartbeat.
@hopefuljj- I had forgotten you had two chemicals they are heartbreaking! Was that before you did the ERA? So glad you are snuggling your miracle now!

@JamieH2000 Jamie, I am so sorry. That's just awful news and all that buildup. I think I told you I had 2 chemicals but that was before PGS testing. Do you have more embryos?
@hopefuljj that is just insane and stressful. I'm so sorry. Wow. Good info about the lupron depot. I haven't started it yet. I need to follow up with my doctor.
@JamieH2000 I did the ERA like a crazy person before ever doing a transfer since it took me over a year to get those 2 normal great graded embryos. First (girl) was a chemical and 2nd (boy) was BFN. Both times following ERA. Then when I moved to donor the new doctor convinced me to ignore the ERA..which I did...chemical. Next cycle I ignored the ERA again but went totally natural (only added in trigger shot and did vaginal progesterone support.) That’s the cycle that got me Sierra:). I have mixed feelings on the ERA. I know so many it was the magic bullet for, but for me it didn’t seem to do much. I have a very strong following for over 4 years on this fertility App I’ve been on forever, (I was basically the last one in our large group to finally get pregnant, most have been back for their second and they’ve all stuck around always checking in, promising to wait for me to finally have success) and I didn’t even tell them I was transferring because I knew they would all freak if I said I wasn’t following the ERA timing since it worked for so so many of them...but I know a few of them have also had chemicals following their ERA timing as well. So I think sometimes it just doesn’t work. Maybe it’s the embryo, maybe it’s just where it tried to implant that cycle or just something else. Anyway, The only time I ever got pregnant was totally naturally after the failed transfers so for my last transfer I figured, why not try to recreate that as best as I can. Remove as much Medical intervention as possible and not manipulate the timing of implantation at all. I’m so sorry lady, I really am. Chemicals suck so so bad. The first one with my own eggs, I really thought that was going to be my baby. First transfer after all that time and after all those tests and procedures, I was sure that beta was going to double. I’m sending you love lady. Lots of love.

Hopeful_mom - Yup, I'm taking Estrace 2mg vaginally and using the minivelle patches right now.
JamieH2000 - I know you're worried about your lining, but I have to think that the fact that you've had a successful pregnancy has to bode well for your chances here ya know? This is going to work for you again, just not as smoothly as we all had hoped which I know just sucks. Hang in there girl.
@JamieH2000. Ughhhh, girl I'm sorry. Theres just no words. This journey can be so unfair and exhausting. Feel all the feels you need to. It seems a lot have trouble with the first and their next transfer is the winner. Sending you so much love.

@hopefuljj Wow what a journey for your, happy you are feeling well and really hope you are trying to get that sleep that you need. Congratulations again on the bundle of joy. @lauralew Great news! Hope you are doing well.
@JamieH2000 Virtual Hug, you are one of the strongest ladies I know and your story has inspired me and the path we are now taking. I hope you are able to transfer soon again and I know no words can help the emotions at this point but thinking of you.
@lmajin99- you are too kind. I feel honored to have inspired or helped anyone, since honestly i feel so weak right now and most of my prior journey. All i can say is this shit is HARD, even if its so worth. Will be crossing everything for your next transfer!!
@lyrnwab- yes I am fortunate to have 3 PGS embryos and 4 untested. SO hopefully our odds are very good. I just didn't expect this chemical to be THIS hard- especially after being so fortunate to have one miracle. Its like I feel greedy. But dang, it did hard me with sadness I haven't felt since the last failed transfer.
@hopefuljj- your story inspires me and gives me. You didn't give up through all of that and I won't either. i am so fortunate to have more embryos. I really shouldn't be so down! I think thats why this is hard, I should have lots of reasons to be hopeful, but I'm just so scared that now something else is wrong since we did PGS and the ERA (confirmed 3 times now!). But, PGS isn't perfect and sometimes it just doesn't work. DOesn't mean it won't work next time.
its been a hard weekend here- found of my sister is pregnant and we would have been two days apart. this is going to be hard. I'm heartbroken and now I feel quilty since I just can't talk to her about it. Its too hard. Ugh. Thanks for your love and support. I'll try to check in, but working is kicking my butt too. I need a vacation. Stupid COVID.

@JamieH2000. It is totally normal and ok to be sad, devastated, angry or whatever. This is a loss...no matter if you had been fortunate in the past or if you have more embryos. Its ok to vent and go through all those emotions because that is how you are going to heal and get stronger for the next transfer. Im so sorry you are going through all this and that gut punch hearing your sister is pregnant and you would have been days apart.....ughhhhhhhhh. That is rough girl. My best friend was a week behind me and now she is out of her first trimester and its hard. If you cant talk to your sister, know that we are all here for you to lean on. You have been through the ringer, but I know you will get your miracle baby! Thank god for extra embryos!
AFM: I decided to talk with @lucyb1954 clinic in Utah and they really do have great prices. So I contacted a @ladyp0tter who became a good friend of mine and we have been each others support system for the past 9 months or so while we navigated both going to Prague for donor eggs....and we happen to look similar and have the same eye and hair color. We decided to share a cycle! So it will be affordable for both of us. We chose 5 donors we liked and luckily we had the same thoughts on what we wanted with a donor. Just need to have consultations with the doctor and financial and we are thinking we might try to start in September. And our kids will be half-siblings....all from meeting on this site . Which I think is pretty darn amazing!
I also just bought a new house! And boy o boy is it my dream house! We close in August and will be moving in beginning of September, so it will be a crazy month. But I think having the space energetically and physically for a baby in our home, will help the universe make this happen. We literally had no space here in our 900 sq ft condo to have a baby here and be comfortable. We will have plenty of space with a 2825 sq ft home with 4 beds, 2.5 baths. EEEKKKKKK!!!!! haven't been this happy in a long time and thank god I have a good distraction for the next few months while we continue on with this journey.
I have an appt today with a perinatologist and see my doc tomorrow for an ultrasound. I got my period July 8th and hoping all that retained tissue came out!

@andreamm31 Such wonderful news! Congratulations on the new house!! Decorating and nesting had been my hobby for the past three years, especially for the last two while we struggled with IF. Enjoy it. And like you said, just keeping putting that good karma and good energy out into the world.
Also how cool that you will be sharing a DE cycle with a friend from the board. What a special bond to have. I'm so excited for you and can't wait to hear what the future brings (my fingers are crossed for all good things!).
andreamm31 - I'm loving everything about this most recent update! Sounds like you are making big moves in the next few months, so happy to hear that things are falling into place.
AFM, please everyone send good thoughts my way for my transfer tomorrow. Not feeling very confident this time, not sure why. It's just a weird time in the world and it's been hard to get in a positive place mentally.
@c-town18. Sending lots of good energy and love your way girl! You got this! I know the world is just falling apart around us, but this will be your miracle. You deserve this, at this moment, right now. All is well.

@c-town18 I was in a very negative head space going into my second FET, which turned out to be my BFP. Even during the TWW, I was not feeling very confident at all. Keep the faith. We are all rooting for you.
@Andreamm31- your update made me smile SO big! Congrats on the house! and wow, to do a shared cycle with someone you met on here is just amazing! i hope you can get the process going ASAP! aww i love good news on here
@c-town18- Sending you ALLLL the good vibes today! I get the worry and doubt. I honestly don't think how you feel about a cycle impacts it at all (or we would all have positives just by wishing it). I get all your feelings for sure. We are here, and I hope the tww goes fast for you!

Thanks all! I'm officially PUPO. Ordered a bunch of cheap-o HPTs and will start testing like a madwoman next week because that's how I roll. Eeeek, will keep you posted!
Hi everyone I'm new to this forum .. I really wish I found it earlier ..
My story Husband is a cancer survivor .. we decided to try for children soon as he was well enough .. sadly this meant I'm now 39 and he's 41 .. i have DOR ( that's what my ER says) and I'm a poor responder to ivf medication. I've had 2 failed iui.. just completed my first IVF .. I had 3 eggs which I was really grateful for 2 fertilized and they did a 2dt. I'm now at 13dp2dt.. I did a clear blue digital test and its BFN. I was so hopeful this cycle.. in very good spirits .. tried to everything I could... accupuncture .. healthy food etc .. had a lot of faith that God will give us this gift we've been through soo much and it's time we deserved some good news .. but NO . I'm a very positive person always get back on my feet .. but this time something is different I have no faith and no hope for the future .. I'm 13dp2dt and it's over for me .. not sure we can afford another IVF Cycle now. Has anyone been in a similar situation how do you get through this?
anna1891 - Welcome and I'm glad you found us. I haven't been in your exact situation (you can see my history in my signature) but have definitely experienced the disbelief and despair that I know you're feeling right now. I have no words that are going to make things better for you but just know that you are not alone in this, all of us have your back and are here for you. My advice during these low points is to be good to yourself, try to keep doing the things you love (I know it's hard right now the way the world is), and know that if you really want a child it will happen eventually; your path to getting there just might be different from what you always imagined it would be.
Where are you at geographically? And when do you meet with your RE to figure out what is next?
@c-town18 thank you for your kind words .. I'm in calgary .. Canada :)
My RE said to take the test again tomorrow and call them back .. and we will take it from there
I think this weekend I need to relax it's been a really stressful cycle .. with covid going its hard to just get away lol.. but I need a change of scenery and get back into my positive thinking .. until someone tells me I cant get pregnant I'm not going to give up.
@anna1891 it's such a hard journey, girl, I'm so sorry! You have been through a lot already. It is really hard when you're in the thick of it. Absolutely, so hard, been there. Don't give up on your dream -- it's true, it may not look like you thought it would, but keep pressing through. It is promising you got at least some eggs retrieved, so some follicles are responding. That said, it's hard to know when quality isn't great or there's some issue that's hard to know what's going on. They did a two day transfer last time? I haven't really heard of anything but a 3 day or a 5 day.
@andreamm31 Congrats on the new house, sounds like an amazing place. Glad to hear you are feeling okay now and goodluck with your appointment. Awesome news on having a shared cycle, I think that is such a great option. How far would the drive or flight be for you to the clinic in Utah? @c-town18 PUPO!!! Sending some positive vibes your way, love how you ordered the cheapies to last you through the testing until the beta @anna1891 Welcome fellow Canuck! Glad you found this group as the ladies are amazing and can help you with some of the questions you may have. I have had a similar journey as yours with many failed IUIs, and my IVF were all cancelled so for you to have 2 for transfer that is a good result. Did you have both transferred? I am happy to chat with you via message and advise you on how and why we are choosing DE. As for the expenses, hopefully you have some coverage through your plan and all your cycles can be included in your taxes and you do get some returns with the tax break.
@c-town18- I'm crossing everything for you! I have a feeling it will be a good cycle for you
@anna1891- its devastating when it doesn't work. I'm so sorry. There arent many words of comfort, but all of us on this board have been there and you aren't alone. I would def try again. It takes a few tries usually with low AMH Hang in there!

Yes they did a 2 day transfer.. apparantly they said if there's just 2 eggs they prefer then to be in the body rather than the lab as that's the best place for them .. Yeh I just need to put this behind me and look forward now. Need to figure out how to increase amh level and quality

Back for # 2!
Homozygous MTHFR Cr677
DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high)
2 iui's to start - BFN
IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal
IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5
IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol
Chemical pregnancy
FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN
Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos
1st transfer - chemical pregnancy
2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!
i am sorry it’s not in a spoiler box. Please don’t read on if you have any triggers around birth, c-section, babies, etc! As a reminder this baby was made with a donor egg. I have not updated it since writing it so it’s weeks out of date with the end part updating on my own health.

2 iui's to start - BFN
IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal

Chemical pregnancy
FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN
Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal

@JamieH2000 @lucyb1954 @c-town18 did/are you all taking estrace for this FET cycle?
@lmajin99- you start to want to do every test to make sure you are ready when the time comes....my RE really didn't think i needed it BUT that still didn't mean a thing. I didn't do it and went ahead with my transfer and I was very lucky it worked!! If it wouldn't have i wouldn't have transferred again as it took forever to get normal embryos i wouldn't want to risk it without knowing for sure.
hopefuljj just sending u and emma love!

TW- My beta was 10 and today it was 2.5. confirmed chemical pregnancy.

@lauralew Great news! Hope you are doing well.
@JamieH2000 Virtual Hug, you are one of the strongest ladies I know and your story has inspired me and the path we are now taking. I hope you are able to transfer soon again and I know no words can help the emotions at this point but thinking of you.

@c-town18- Sending you ALLLL the good vibes today! I get the worry and doubt. I honestly don't think how you feel about a cycle impacts it at all (or we would all have positives just by wishing it). I get all your feelings for sure. We are here, and I hope the tww goes fast for you!

Back for # 2!
My story
Husband is a cancer survivor .. we decided to try for children soon as he was well enough .. sadly this meant I'm now 39 and he's 41 .. i have DOR ( that's what my ER says) and I'm a poor responder to ivf medication.
Where are you at geographically? And when do you meet with your RE to figure out what is next?
My RE said to take the test again tomorrow and call them back .. and we will take it from there
I think this weekend I need to relax it's been a really stressful cycle .. with covid going its hard to just get away lol.. but I need a change of scenery and get back into my positive thinking .. until someone tells me I cant get pregnant I'm not going to give up.
@c-town18 PUPO!!! Sending some positive vibes your way, love how you ordered the cheapies to last you through the testing until the beta
@anna1891 Welcome fellow Canuck!
@anna1891- its devastating when it doesn't work. I'm so sorry. There arent many words of comfort, but all of us on this board have been there and you aren't alone. I would def try again. It takes a few tries usually with low AMH
