This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IVF
How are things going?: I'm so freaking ready to trigger! I'm bloated and uncomfortable - at my last monitoring yesterday morning I had 6 on the left, 9 on the right. My lead follie is at 22mm, but the rest are all smaller, so they're trying to let those catch up. Literally cried when they said to trigger today not yesterday. I've been an emotional mess all weekend, these hormones are no joke.
I also have to call today and make my WTF appointment just in case, which makes me freak out a little.
Any questions?: Anything I need to do/have in the house before my ER Wednesday?
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? I will never say no to a brownie sundae!

@mvt2003 Oh I have so much empathy for you right now. That uncomfortable bloat is just the worse thing. I have everything crossed for your retrieval! You are going to do great.
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): waiting on a break through AF
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): FET prep. Start nasal spray yesterday. Wait for a second period and then we do a checkup and start Estrace etc.
How are things going?: So the weather at the end of last week was brutal. We had some snow and then it switched into freezing rain. My car was encapsulated in ice when I got up Friday morning. Clean up was frustrating to say the least. And conditions were too bad for MH to drive home for the weekend. Which, I am ready for him to come back now lol.
Any questions?:
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? Tiramisu if it is there. Otherwise I am always a sucker for cake! Buttercream frosting for the win!
Diagnosis (if you've been): Endometriosis, borderline PCOS, Unexplained IF
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IVF - Biopsy
How are things going?: Well I'm on day 30 of vaginal estrogen and my lining is back to a 5. They called this morning and gave me a few options on how to move forward; which included cancelling the cycle, doing just the endometrial biopsy, or just the ERA testing (which they did not think would be accurate with my thin lining). I decided to move forward with the biopsy with the hopes that it can give us some insight on why my lining isn't responding. It is tentatively scheduled for next Friday 2/21. I'm waiting for the doctor to call me back himself to discuss it with me.
Any questions?: For those that have done an endometrial biopsy (@inthewoods23) how many days of PIO did you do before hand? Because on the printed protocol they gave me it said the biopsy would be 6 days after starting PIO (but that was also with the ERA test), and today she told me I'd start it today (so 11 days of PIO before biopsy)? Maybe it has something to do with my lining issues?
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? Usually chocolate cake!
@mvt2003 - Yayyyy! So excited for you! I just made sure my house was clean beforehand, so that I could relax for a few days without stressing about the need to vacuum the floors lol
@nitnat007 - Ughh go away winter! I'm so ready for warm sunny weather! Where is your DH?
@mvt2003 Wednesday ER? That doesn't conflict anymore with YH's schedule right?? That's good! Trust me you'll feel a lot better soon!
@nitnat007 we had quite a snowstorm here yesterday. Finally stopped snowing around dinner and when we went out to shovel our driveway it looked like they hadn't even plowed our street. DH said they had at least once though, but that had to have been 4 inches of snow ago. Yikes. I'm ready to be over with winter!
@feather_heather PIO followed the same as a FET so I think it's.... 1 shot in the AM then AM and PM for 5 days. I would definitely double check when you need to start the PIO because the tests are supposed to be done at the time an embryo would implant. 11 days of PIO sounds like waaay to much.
Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained, low morph, but now maybe immune system response based on what I've read with infertility and gluten?
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): one more pack of BC then FET
How are things going?: alright. Another rough-ish weekend. Barely surviving. But feelings-wise I'm alright. Had to redo finding a therapist because the one I had selected isn't covered under my insurance (just the EAP I guess?). But that was easy once I realized I need to check both sites to make sure someone is listed in both places.
Any questions?: Nope
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? I'm with @nitnat007 on the tiramisu! My absolute favorite dessert. Creme brulee is also great. Boohoo all things I can't have right now 😢😆 otherwise I'm a sucker for cheesecake as long as it's not an overly chocolate-y flavor. I like my cheesecakes to not be so heavy.

@inthewoods23 Thanks friend! I hope so. I just kept crying yesterday, the hormones are kicking my butt right now. I truly could not face another tummy shot, everything is so bruised and hurting. Definitely had a pity party for myself! I'm so sorry you're struggling, please know I am here with you, sending you so much strength.

@mvt2003 You're finally triggering!!! ahhhhhhh this is so real now!!! I hear ya on the hormonal bloat....ugh it's so real and sucks so much, and I don't even have follies at this moment, so I feel ya girl!!
@nitnat007 ugh I'm sorry for the crazy weather and that it delayed YH from coming home. When will he be back home now?
@feather_heather my friend, I am so very frustrated for you! This is pure craziness that your lining is not cooperating. I am glad you are moving forward with the biopsy so that you can hopefully get some answers as to what is going on with it.
@inthewoods23 I'm glad you were able to find another therapist. When do you get in to see them?
Diagnosis (if you've been): Secondary Unexplained IF
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW/WFAF
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): We just had our 5th failed IUI so we will be moving forward with taking a break and just NTNP for at least a month.
How are things going?: Shockingly okay... I'm actually really looking forward to this "reset" of a month and to just not think about TTC for a change. I'm also seriously looking forward to the extra pounds I've put on from the clomid and progesterone hormonal bloat. I feel disgusting and I have not been happy with myself lately.
Any questions?: nope
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? mmmmm dessert!!! Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae or Creme Brulee.... or both!!!

Whatever happens will happen and it will all be okay.
@inthewoods23 - The doctor called me and tried to explain it better, but said this is a little different from the biopsy they would do alongside the ERA test, however it will still test for endometritis. This best explains what he said and the reasons for the longer PIO:
"The endometrial biopsy is usually performed one to four days prior to menstruation. In a woman with a 28-day cycle, it is usually scheduled for days 24-26. The tissue is evaluated by a pathologist who will "date" the tissue according to an ideal menstrual cycle. The lining is considered "in-phase" if the progesterone is in a certain range and the lining has thickened to the degree expected on a particular day of the cycle. A biopsy that is "out of phase" suggests a lag in the growth of the lining and an inability of the endometrium to support an early pregnancy. "
He tried to dumb it down for me and said that the ultrasounds can only tell them the thickness of the lining, but this test can tell them the quality of the lining and if it is still good even though its thinner? Idk, I'm just going to go along for the ride and hope something comes back as abnormal lol
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WFAF I think. BFN this AM, but it wasn't with FMU so I will retest tomorrow. Lack of spotting before 14dpo got my hopes up. Son of a batch of cookies.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IUI #2
How are things going?: I am at the point where I don't cry or even flinch at a BFN. Is that bad? Outside of TTC, work is still a cluster-you-know-what, but we have winter break next week. Thank goodness.
Any questions?: Nope.
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? I am in the warm brownie sundae camp, but I also love strawberry shortcake. As long as it's with a REAL biscuit, none of that machine-made sponge cake crap.
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW...but I’ll be moving to WTO soon.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Not sure yet.
How are things going?: Meh...definitely disappointed with another failed cycle after being super hopeful! Got BFN’s yesterday and this morning...no progesterone starting today, so hopefully AF arrives soon so we can move on to the next cycle! I called my RE’s office this morning to see if we can move on to IUI, or if we should go another 2 cycles with TI like he originally recommended. Got a call back from the nurse earlier and she said we can start IUI this cycle if that’s what we want to do...so DH and I need to talk about it and see how we want to proceed!
Any questions?: None right now, but I’m sure I will if we start monitoring/IUI...the thought of the trigger shot already makes me nervous!
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? Cheesecake is my absolute favorite...any kind really (except with cherries on it)!!
@mvt2003 you are so close to triggering!! I hope those other follies catch up and all goes wonderfully on Wednesday!! I’ll be thinking about you!! 💜
@nitnat007 ugh, that stinks the weather messed things up and YH didn’t get to come home!! I hope he gets to come home very soon!!
@feather_heather that would be awful to totally cancel the cycle after all this waiting!! I’m glad you are getting to move forward with the biopsy at least...and I hope it gives you some answers!! @inthewoods I’m sorry you didn’t have the best week!! I hope you are able to see the new therapist soon!
@kpearse99 I’m so hoping this “reset” cycle will be just the thing you need! I hope the bloat goes away and you can get back to feeling normal very soon!!
@emeraldduchess sorry for the BFN and the lack of spotting playing mind-tricks with you!! I hope you get better results with FMU tomorrow though!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Hi friends! Had been having issues with the bump app and was having tons of meltdowns caused by insurance ivf authorization and stupid pharmacy. But I am back!
@mvt2003 yay ER is so soon! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
@feather_heather it must be so frustrating... sorry about the lining! I hope the biopsy can give you some answers so you get to move forward accordingly
@emeraldduchess sorry for the BFN but yay for winder break coming soon!
@bluetickgal Sorry for the BFN. Yeah! The thought of stabbing myself with needles scared me so much... even now!
Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained IF
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IVF Freeze all — Stim cycle!
How are things going?: too many things happened! Long story short I overcame all the insurance madness and made it this cycle. Antagonist protocol, starting with 150iu FSH and 2 vials of menopur per day. First scan on day 3 shows 10 resting follicles on the left and 13 on the right. Heading in for the next scan tomorrow on day 6.
Any questions?: I didn’t bleed the first night but the second night I took menopur it hurt a lot and I bleed a little. Is it normal or I am being too brutal?
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? Matcha float I love Japanese dessert.
edit: ahh I forgot to mention that after taking 0.25mg cabergoline twice per week my prolactin level dropped to 1.4, which is now in the too low range... my doctor instructed me to cut the dose to 0.25mg once per week.
@bluetickgal *hugs* I freaking hate this rollercoaster so much and that so many of us are stuck on it. 💙 Judging by the cramps in my ute, I think tomorrow will be another BFN. I was nervous about the trigger shot at first, but honestly, it's not bad at all! I felt like a beast afterward. Like "damn, look what I did!"
@mvt2003 so excited for your ER on Wednesday! *jumps up and down* Sending all the sparkly unicorn fairy dust for success!
@nitnat007 ugh! Stupid winter weather. I hate it so much. I hope spring arrives early for you!
@inthewoods23 I'm sorry things are so rough right now. *hugs* You can sit with me on the struggle bus. 💚 I hope you can find a new therapist and get an appointment soon.
@feather_heather I really hope your biopsy gives you some answers! I insisted on one before we move to IVF. I would rather do that than wait for a transfer issue.
@kpearse99 it sounds like this NTNP break is exactly what you need. 💙
@pom9207 so glad all the insurance stuff worked out for you!
@nitnat007 I definitely do not miss the days of digging my car out of snow/ice!
@pom9207 yay for your body responding the the cabergoline. Hopefully you can find the right dosage. GL on the day 6 check!
@bluetickgal Sorry for the failed cycle, but it is good to hear you got the green light to step it up to IUI. My RE has said an IUI improves our chances of a positive by 5%. Not sure if that is across the board, but every little bit helps!
@emeraldduchess It ain’t over until the fat lady (or af in this case) sings! Hope in the least maybe the lack of spotting before 14dpo means your headed in the right direction!
@kpearse99 Creepy internet hugs! Way to go for looking at the positive! I wish you a month of feeling fabulous, refreshed, and encouraged!
@inthewoods23 I hope this new therapist appointment works out! Barely surviving does not sound like a good state to be in. Is there someone IRL you can reach out to?
Another BFN this morning. TBH I am just numb at this point. @ramzlau good luck at your ultrasound on Thursday! GO AWAY, CYST! You have a good point, I can take the lack of spotting as a good sign. Maybe my body is finally getting its act together? Oh, and I also thought it was Friday when I woke up this morning. So that's how my week is going. 🤣
@emeraldduchess numb is exactly how I’ve been feeling about all of this too. Sadly, that’s what all of this does to us and our hearts. I’m so sorry, my friend. This sucks. So much. We all do not belong here and it is so time for all of us to bounce!!! It needs to happen soon. It just has to. ♥️♥️
@ramzlau I hope that ultrasound only shows good things!!!
@bluetickgal the trigger shot was nothing!! I was so scared to do it at first. Got myself alllllll worked up and then after I finally did it, I was like “oh! I’m a badass!” Haha you got this, friend!
@pom9207 I’ve been thinking about you lately and wondering where you were!

@feather_heather Oh man. I am glad that they are at least able to give you some options in hopes to try and figure out the cause of your lining not thickening. So it is not a completely wasted cycle. FX for some answers. MH is just a four hour drive away. So not far, but with freezing rain and snow, too dangerous to make the trip. He will be home for the weekend on Friday.
@inthewoods23 I am with you! So over winter already. And they just issued us another warning for overnight tonight. So looks like the drive in tomorrow will be delayed. So sorry that you had to look for a different therapist. Small annoyance, but still frustrating. Hope there are some choices for you and you are able to find the right person for you.
@kpearse99 Thanks. He will be home this weekend, fly out Monday. He will be home weekends until March, home for the month, then back out for April. It never ends. I am so sorry that this cycle failed. You have the best attitude towards taking this break though. A good reset will be great. I am still fighting with my IVF weight. It is an extra kick in the pants that none of were looking for.
@emeraldduchess Glad work seems a little better this week. Sorry for the bfn though. Hugs!
@bluetickgal Hope you and YH are able to discuss things and come up with a good plan that you are both comfortable with. Sorry that this wasn't your cycle though. Hugs!
@pom9207 Sounds like you have been through the ringer! Just glad that you got it all working and are on track for the cycle. And off to an awesome start. FX for those follies.
@ramzlau There are days that I curse the digging out more than others lol. I do ask myself how I ended up here. FX your are off bc soon.
@kpearse99 So many hugs, friend. I'm glad you're feeling ok, I'm thinking a small reset will be helpful overall. It will be so nice for your body to feel like your own again!!!
@emeraldduchess I'm so sorry about the BFN, sending you so many hugs.
@bluetickgal I'm so sorry about the BFN! I will say, I was incredibly nervous about the shots process of IVF, but overall, it's been ok. I ice before MH injects, and as long as I've kept the ice there long enough I rarely feel it.
@ramzlau Go away, cyst!!!!! Hoping you can stop BC soon!
@pom9207 Hooray for stims!!! I didn't do Menopur, but I can say I did have some experiences where the shots just felt different from night to night. A couple of times, especially earlier in the stim cycle, the Gonal-F kind of burned. And I did bleed a couple of times too - it seemed to be random.

@emeraldduchess thanks friend!! Ugh, so sorry for another BFN...I hate what this process does to us!! Sending hugs your way and hoping with everything in me that this next IUI will be it for you!! 💜
@ramzlau thank you!! That is encouraging...I was finding conflicting info on success stats online, so that’s good to hear! I hope all goes well with your US on Thursday!! Mmm...I second anything dark chocolate!!
@kpearse99 thanks sweet friend!! Hopefully I can be a warrior like the rest of you ladies!
@nitnat007 thanks so much friend!! I’m glad YH should be home this weekend!!
@mvt2003 thank you, my friend!! Yay for triggering!! I hope you are able to take it easy today and get ready for tomorrow! 💜💜💜 @abarr723 I hope your SHG goes well! Everything crossed that this first IUI is it for you!! See below, we are delaying IUI a cycle...but we can totally be cheesecake buddies!!
AFM...DH and I had a good discussion about IUI and what all it involves, and we decided we will give TI one more cycle and then we’ll move forward with IUI if it’s not successful. I’d honestly be good moving forward now, but I know DH would like to give it one more go before doing so and I want to respect that! You all have made me feel much better about the thought of doing the trigger shot though, so thank you!! DH actually said he would do it if/when that time comes...but it’s in my belly, right? Would it be better/easier to just do it myself? I really don’t like needles...I always look away with blood draws because I get queasy/light-headed easily! But if there isn’t blood, I can maybe handle it! 🤷🏼♀️
@mvt2003 oh friend, I feel you on the discomfort too. So excited for what comes next for you tho! I was personally told to drink a lot of gatorade but @kpearse99 and I talked about this in great detail and I'm still not convinced that's the answer to the bloat because everything I've read says sugar and/or sweeteners only contribute to bloating. If you like coconut water that's a great alternative. Tylenol will be your friend. Did you take some time off this week? Mine was on a Friday so I took it easy Fri/Sat, Sun I was up and about but in retrospect I probably should've taken that day off too. @nitnat007 dammit weather, I hope YH is able to make it home for a visit soon. @feather_heather that's so super frustrating about your lining. I hope the biopsy is able to tell you something. @inthewoods23 how's the diet going? @kpearse99 aw man friend, I can so relate on the weight gain/bloat. It feels like it just adds insult to injury after everything we've been through. You have the best attitude towards it all though, and I just know your time is coming! @emeraldduchess I'm so sorry for the BFN. I like to think I'm used to it by now but the reality is it F'ing sucks. Sending you lots of hugs. @bluetickgal it sounds like you and YH have a good plan that you're both comfortable with. Honestly the trigger shot isn't that bad. The needle itself is tiny, like 1/2" and yes it just goes in your belly. If you ice the area before/after you don't feel it at all. I did all my own shots but I know lots have their SO do it for them. @pom9207 welcome back. Glad you got the insurance stuff all figured out and it sounds like your stim cycle is off to a great start! Menopur was the worst for me, I bled/bruised the most from that and it burned like a b*tch. Make sure you alternate sides every day, and it helped me to just inject it really slowly. There are tons of tiny blood vessels in the belly area so there's no real pattern to what is going to bleed and what isn't. Mine were about 1:3 bleeders vs not. Arnica gel was good for the bruising. @ramzlau ahh FX for good news at your scan on Thurs. GO AWAY CYST!
Diagnosis (if you've been): PCOS, some MFI
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Mock transfer/endometrial biopsy & scratch, then FET next cycle
How are things going?: Well, AF finallllly arrived Sunday after a lot of stressing and a BFN Saturday morning that knocked MH and I on our asses. My naturopath added some extra points during my acupuncture session on Saturday so I want to believe that helped get things moving. Stressing big time about timing of the FET if this cycle is wonky again because I have a big event that I help organize at the end of March and it's starting to look like it'll be right around when my FET might be. I called the nurse at my clinic because I was concerned I'm not even ovulating and she reassured me that I don't need to even ovulate in a FET cycle because all they're doing is controlling my lining leading up to the tsf and will supplement with progesterone after. It still feels wrong to me.
Any questions?: After the FET, realistically if I take it easy for 2-3 days am I ok to be on my feet all day (if I take lots of rests) a few days later? I won't be lifting anything but I do need to be on-site for the event. It's not ideal but I want to make it work.

@kiki047 I'm so glad you're feeling better, friend. And SO excited AF showed her face! Are you still on target for the scheduled scratch? So far, I've only taken Wednesday off, but I'll just text my bosses if I need an additional day or so. I can also WFH if necessary. I pretty much only do Gatorade Zero, do you think that would solve the sweetener issue? I'll definitely grab some coconut water too tonight! I have personally seen the power of electrolytes in helping eliminate bloat, so I may use some of my powdered electrolytes too!

@kiki047 thanks for the trigger insight! I’m so sorry AF was so delayed and the BFN hit you guys so hard! 💜 I hope this next cycle will be normal and keep everything on track for your FET cycle, and that it won’t end up interfering with your event after all!
@mvt2003 according to the nurse the scratch can happen at any point in my cycle so that's still good to go for next Thurs. I'm kinda hoping that maybe by prodding my ute it'll suddenly remember it's supposed to be doing something and maybe AF won't take her sweet ass time wishful thinking? But yes Gatorade Zero should be good, I drank G2 diluted with water. @bluetickgal I don't usually POAS but I was getting to the point where I was like 6 days "late" from when AF usually/should have showed and it was driving MH nuts that maybe there was another reason I was late. I didn't think I was but he just had to know. Ugh. But we're back on track for the FET so he's feeling better about that at least.

@kiki047 I realize FET is more intense, but my RE just says no core work, no squats, no lifting, and no running, after IUI for 2 weeks, but encourages me to walk. I would think that working the show a few days after your FET shouldn't be a problem. I would just make sure to take sitting breaks occasionally. But maybe double check with RE?
Thanks for all the well wishes ladies! Thur can't get here fast enough!
@bluetickgal oh yessss! All the cheesecake! And that’s what we did, hubs and I, gave it one good old HS try before moving forward with IUI. For me AF arrived yesterday and Today i was like, oh man I need tampons and he freaked out and was like “omg when did you start bleeding?! Did you call and tell the drs office” I’m like yes babe, take it down a notch. lol he’s so nervous about the whole baby making thing, it’s kind of cute.

@mvt2003 I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, so exciting your ER is here!!! I just had to google "WTF appointment." I so hope you don't need it!!! Maybe it's good to have it in the books so you don't jinx anything. @nitnat007 Ugh yeah we had some ice encapsulation the past couple days too. Nothing like an ice storm to make me question why the hell I live in the Northeast. @feather_heather I hope the biopsy gives you some answers! @inthewoods23 Hope you're feeling better after the rough weekend and that you find a great therapist! @kpearse99 I hope the break is just what you need! @emeraldduchess I'm so sorry about the BFN. It is a mindf*ck to get to that point where you feel numb - when I got to the point last year where I barely had an outward reaction when AF would come, I started feeling almost guilty - like I should feel worse and more sad every month? But I think it's a natural defense mechanism. @bluetickgal So sorry about the BFN. I'm glad you and H had a good talk. I didn't know IUI involved a trigger shot! (I'm still learning a bunch about all the IF stuff...) I think my doctor's plan for us is just Clomid + IUI. I hope the TI goes well this month and you don't even have to go there! @ramzlou Good luck with the u/s! @abarr723 good luck with the testing!
Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained so far, only thing missing from standard testing is HSG
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): benched till April, IUI #1 planned for then.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Possibly an HSG, got u/s, AMH and SA done earlier.
How are things going?: Okay...I can't believe we're almost halfway thru February! I've been kind of a stress case the past couple of days because I had a fight (via text) with my good friend Sunday over politics...
We disagree about the primary election and he literally said he won't be friends with me until after the election. Like.....I just can't.
But otherwise hanging in!
Any questions?: Hmmm not really.
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? I love chocolate lava cake and anything with chocolate and peanut butter!
@whitealbum29 I agree 100%, I think the numbness is definitely a defense mechanism. BTW I have a recipe for an insanely delicious chocolate peanut butter pie if you want it. @bluetickgal fx that this last TI cycle is it for you!
@abarr723 it’s definitely sweet that he’s so invested! Fingers crossed this is your cycle! @whitealbum29 I don’t thing a trigger shot has to be used, but is most of the time to get timing just right! Sorry for the fight with your friend...I hope he gets over it soon!! @emeraldduchess thanks friend!! 💜 @mvt2003 thinking of you this morning!! Best of luck for an easy ER that results in lots of little eggies!!
@kiki047 It's about time AF arrived! Geeez!!!! She took her sweet old time and really played mind games with you guys. I'm sorry she's a B!!! I think it's reassuring, indeed, that you don't need to O for the FET but I agree, I would feel like it wasn't natural either. They know what they are talking about though!
@whitealbum29 What is wrong with people that they have to do things like that??!! Come on! So you disagree with someone, it doesn't mean you stop talking.... ugh, I'm sorry about that!! And I agree, Feb. is flying by!!

@kiki047 Thanks friend! That comforts me a lot. Good to know that I am not the only one bleed/bruise from menopur... Hope the mock transfer/endo scratch goes smoothly and the FET timeline works in your favor.
@whitealbum29 hopefully you can get started with additional testings soon!
@bluetickgal I hate needles too! MH did all my needles for both rounds of IVF. I think I could probably handle them if I needed to. The needles are small. It is the PIO shots that I think would be impossible for me to handle alone. Glad that you and YH were able to talk about the plans to move forward and are able to agree.
@kiki047 I know that AF arriving was tough for you, but it does mean you are able to move forward with your FET now and hopefully won't cause any issues with all your plans. Let me know if you hear anything from your RE on exercise etc post FET. I am curious too. They have not said anything to me and I have assumed that it was business as usual. Go back to work and carry on. But I did some reading last night which now is making me think twice. I was hoping to not have to skip anymore time teaching at the gym.
@whitealbum29 Right?! My parents are in Costa Rica and my sister is in Bali.....so really? Why am I here again? lol. Sorry about your friend. Some people do take politics too far.
@mvt2003 Whoop Whoop!!! That is amazing! Thrilled to hear your update and have everything crossed for your next one.
@kpearse99 I haven't called the new clinic yet to schedule an appointment. Too much going on this week to get away from my desk to talk to the intake people, which I'm presuming is not going to be a short and sweet call. Sorry your IUI didn't work, but a reset month sounds like a great idea!
@feather_heather 4 days before menstruation? But how do they know exactly when that is? The description sounds right for the ERA that it's looking at the progesterone level to determine if it's in the optimal range for implantation to occur. The timing thing still doesn't seem right to me.
@emeraldduchess sorry for all the BFNs. Son of a batch of cookies has me chuckling lol. I like to say son of a biscuit 😆
@bluetickgal the trigger shot is NBD. You've got this! Maybe you won't need it! FX! Mine have always been IM ones and not in the stomach. I think the ones that get refrigerated tend to be subQ type? My trigger is fine at room temp.
@pom9207 glad you got things worked out with your insurance. I spoke with the financial lady at our clinic today because we're getting close to our lifetime Max and I mentioned to her that the changes for my ER (from a whole 7 months ago) shows in my patient portal but has never been part of one of my monthly statements. Turns out my insurance like, denied their paperwork because they didn't like the code they used for female infertility? The lady was like, that's the code we use for 100% of our patients so wtf. She's basically resubmitting everything again so hopefully they get things worked out. Good thing we have time. We may just be better off paying the package price and not go through insurance. Oy.
@ramzlau ok, maybe I was being a bit dramatic with the barely surviving comment. Maybe I was at the time. I'm doing better at this point in the week. Still sort of just getting through the day hour by hour. Soon things should slow down though.
@kiki047 diet is going pretty darn good! I actually feel a lot better digestively (like going #2 less often) so maybe it really has been a gluten/dairy issue this whole time? Idk we'll see. And I forgot to asky RE at the appointment today her thoughts.on that! Oh well. Maybe it's a better question for the dietician I went to a few weeks ago. You're probably ok to be on your feet a bunch after the transfer. I wouldn't worry too much about that. I take it you're doing a medicated cycle? Those FETs are entirely controlled so there is no real ovulation (at least for me since they put me on lupron).
@mvt2003 yay for 17 eggs! That's a good number! Keep us posted!
@whitealbum29 this is why I don't talk politics with people. Like can't we all just get along? Sigh. Let us know how your tests go!

@mvt2003 that's an amazing number! Crossing everything for your next update!!
Finally CD1 over here. AF sure took her time this month! I stopped progesterone after my BFN on Tuesday, and usually AF shows right after I stop the progesterone. Now to schedule my baseline ultrasound and get things going for IUI#2. This is the last IUI that our insurance will approve. If this fails, we move on to IVF. I think DH is having second thoughts about that. He hasn't said anything, but the fact that he no longer wants to talk about it says a lot.

How are things going?: So the weather at the end of last week was brutal. We had some snow and then it switched into freezing rain. My car was encapsulated in ice when I got up Friday morning. Clean up was frustrating to say the least. And conditions were too bad for MH to drive home for the weekend. Which, I am ready for him to come back now lol.

GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? Tiramisu if it is there. Otherwise I am always a sucker for cake! Buttercream frosting for the win!
@nitnat007 - Ughh go away winter! I'm so ready for warm sunny weather! Where is your DH?

Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained IF, unexplained RPL, possible luteal phase defect/loss progesterone
@inthewoods I’m sorry you didn’t have the best week!! I hope you are able to see the new therapist soon!
@mvt2003 yay ER is so soon! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
@nitnat007 I love tiramisu too!
@feather_heather it must be so frustrating... sorry about the lining! I hope the biopsy can give you some answers so you get to move forward accordingly
@emeraldduchess sorry for the BFN but yay for winder break coming soon!
@bluetickgal Sorry for the BFN. Yeah! The thought of stabbing myself with needles scared me so much... even now!

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): Benched- cyst
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): BC for this week, go in for ultrasound on Thursday!
How are things going?: I am so ready to be off birth control!
Any questions?: Not this week
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? Something that is really rich dark chocolate (brownie, molten lava cake, etc)
@bluetickgal the trigger shot was nothing!! I was so scared to do it at first. Got myself alllllll worked up and then after I finally did it, I was like “oh! I’m a badass!” Haha you got this, friend!

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): sonohystogram in the next few days as well as baseline ultrasound, beginning femara and monitoring, then hopefully IUI #1!!
How are things going?: good! School is stressing me out, but I’ll get over it lol. I’m excited to start out next step.
Any questions?: nope
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often?
cheesecake 🤤
Dx: 1/2020 Borderline PCOS
Rx: Femara &Trigger with IUI
IUI#1 2/26/2020- BETA 3/11 (AF arrived 3/11)
3/20/2020- Benched due to COVID-19
@abarr723 I hope your SHG goes well! Everything crossed that this first IUI is it for you!! See below, we are delaying IUI a cycle...but we can totally be cheesecake buddies!!
@nitnat007 dammit weather, I hope YH is able to make it home for a visit soon.
@feather_heather that's so super frustrating about your lining. I hope the biopsy is able to tell you something.
@inthewoods23 how's the diet going?
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? I have a weakness for anything lemon, or NY cheesecake with fruit.

But otherwise hanging in!
Any questions?: Hmmm not really.
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? I love chocolate lava cake and anything with chocolate and peanut butter!
@bluetickgal fx that this last TI cycle is it for you!
@mvt2003 good luck today, friend!!
@whitealbum29 I don’t thing a trigger shot has to be used, but is most of the time to get timing just right! Sorry for the fight with your friend...I hope he gets over it soon!!
@emeraldduchess thanks friend!! 💜
@mvt2003 thinking of you this morning!! Best of luck for an easy ER that results in lots of little eggies!!
@whitealbum29 What is wrong with people that they have to do things like that??!! Come on! So you disagree with someone, it doesn't mean you stop talking.... ugh, I'm sorry about that!! And I agree, Feb. is flying by!!

@abarr723 GL with your SHG! When is it scheduled?

@inthewoods23 haha okay, I understand being dramatic. I hope it all does slow down for you though!
