Welcome @mztoyanna. How scary to be on bed rest this early and with all your other children depending on you. Do you have a lot of support at home?

Hello everyone! I’m a little late to the party, it better late than never!
EDD - currently 7/21 but will most likely go early because it’s TWINS! Had the shock of our lives finding that out.
Found out - we were preventing and I thought I started my period but then spotted all that day. Decided to POAS the next morning to be sure and the positive showed up before it even got to the test line.
Hobbies, job, etc - I’m a purchasing agent for a locomotive parts distribution company. I don’t have much time for hobbies, but I do enjoy reading when I have a few minutes.
Spouse, partner, kids, furbabies - my SO and I have been together for 5yrs, although we were on a split this past summer that we are still working through. He has two children from a previous marriage (Son - 15 and Daughter - 11). Together we have to little girls (almost 4 and 1.5). No furbabies, but we do have 4 hermit crabs!
Other - I wish everyone a happy and healthy pregnancy and look forward to getting to know all of you!
Welcome @hjungk84. I'm also carrying unexpected twins - I'm excited for another multiples mom joining the board!

Hi! My name is Angie, and my EDD is 7/22/20!!! I am thrilled to be pregnant, and loving every minute (even the nauseous ones)! We were trying and I knew I was pregnant by about 9dpo based on how I was feeling. I got my positive at 12dpo and basically ran into the bedroom with my pants down waving a pregnancy test while my husband was sleeping 🤷♀️ I love biking, climbing and anything outdoor related, and I work at a bike shop. My husband and I have 2 dogs, a cat and 7 chickens, and just love life in our little mountain town. *TW* We experienced 2 previous losses this year, so this will be our first child, and we are really nervous and excited and in love. But really, very scared. We have had 2 good ultrasounds so far (one this morning due to spotting), and I am officially 9 weeks along and baby is looking good! This doesn’t relieve any fears, but at least it didn’t fuel my constant googling 🙄 I’m wishing everyone happy and healthy pregnancies!!!
Hi, I'm 12 weeks and due 6th July. I have 2 girls- 7 and 9, and a wee boy- 5. My partner has a wee girl also 9. This is our first baby together so very exciting I'm in my 3rd year as a nursing student but will be taking a break when baby is due. Oh and I'm from NZ
Hello! Happy to finally introduce myself, I've been holding off until I was 12 weeks. I got my Materni21 results last week and everything looks good, we're having a boy! I still have my NT scan this week but I'm feeling pretty confident. TW
Last year I lost my baby at 14 weeks due to Trisomy 18, so I wanted to get my NIPT results back before becoming active in any groups again.

EDD (Estimated Due Date) July 7th, 2010
How you found out My DH & I decided to start trying in October and we conceived first try! Which I was really surprised about because I'm 35, will be 36 when I give birth. DH is 34. I had been using OPKs, temping, charting and all that, so I starting testing way too early ....7dpo, I got my vvfl at 9po and then tested again on the day I was due for my period with a FRER and got my positive.
Hobbies, Job, Etc. I'm a graphic designer at a big tech company. I live in the PNW so love to hike and camp when I can. I also love to do calligraphy, watercolour and digital design in my spare time.
Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies I'm married to my high school sweetheart, we've been together for 18 years and married for 12 years. This will be our first child so no other kids except for our furbabe. A four year Golden Retriever. She is our whole world, completely spoilt, and she knows it!
Anything you’d like us to know 🙂 DH & I are originally from Australia and have been in Seattle for the last 12 years. We're looking forward to raising our little American babe, and teaching him the traditions of Australia and learning the ways of raising a child in America. I wish everyone happy and healthy pregnancy!
My estimated due date is July 5, 2020. We found out because I realized in October before heading out to girls night that we weren’t careful around the time I was ovulating. So I bought 3 tests because I was planning to have drinks that night. Just to be safe. I took a test and it was negative. So I went out and enjoyed a couple margaritas. That was on a Thursday. I should have started my period sometime between that following Sunday and Tuesday. When Tuesday rolled around and it hadn’t started yet, I decided to test again and hello second line! This will be our 3rd baby. We have 2 boys (a 4 year old and a 1 year old) and are hoping for a girl this time around! Currently waiting on our NIPT results to come in... should be any day now!
I’m a stay at home momma and a military wife. I’m pretty basic... I love hanging out with friends, Target, coffee and wine (ahhh I miss wine!). I love to sing. I haven’t performed in years and I miss it! But my boys make me sing for them at home all the time.
That’s pretty much it! Nothing too crazy exciting. It’s nice to meet ya’ll!
I have had one appointment with my OB/GYN around week 9 following weekly monitoring by my RE after transfer and through week 8. I’ll be doing my 12-week scan in a week and am waiting on my NIPT results. I’m hoping all testa indicate a healthy pregnancy and that I have some peace of mind to avoid anything invasive. I would love to hear what screens/tests other moms-to-be of AMA did following IVF with pre-implantation chromosomal testing.
MY SO and I live in NYC and have been together for 6 years. I will be just a dash over 38 years (!!) if/when baby arrives. Getting to this point was a years long process that originally began with a plan to freeze some eggs/embryos...turns out we learned things were not looking so fertile! On a bright note, I’ve had an amazing pregnancy so far with barely any symptoms, but also admit that having few symptoms without those reassuring weekly ultrasounds can be nerve wracking.
i am a professor who spends a lot of time on research, as well as mentoring and training doctoral students, teaching, etc. I love to workout and am super active. Love to eat just as much. Am missing all the goodies so much right now - fancy cheeses, wine, champagne, caviar, rare steaks etc. 😂😂😂 I share an adorable and beautifully rotund French bulldog with my SO, and he is the absolute love of our lives.
@tere617 did you guys do PGS testing on your embryos? If so, I’m not sure any additional testing is needed because those genetic bloodwork panels are looking for things like trisomies, which your genetic screening already did. Additionally, your NIPT shouldn’t show any surprises if you ran a PGS since it’s looking for the same things.
Yes, we did and all looked good. We were told that there can still be a risk given only a sample of cells were tested and to proceed with recommended screenings. But I guess there’s still a false negative risk with NIPT, too. Thanks so much for your response - I’m thinking that if all tests come back good, I should feel pretty confident without doing CVS.
- How you found out: was sick with some bug over Thanksgiving and once I was improving from that noticed some nausea and heightened sense of smell so I made my hubby pick up a pee stick on his way home from work! Completely surprised us!
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: hubby and 2 wonderful kiddos.
- Anything you’d like us to know: kiddo#1 was an emergency cs. Kiddo#2 was a VBAC with Midwife and Doula!! So planning for #3 to be another successful VBAC! Any other TOLAC/VBAC mama's here?!
@amj161820 I am hoping to be! There are a few others who have said they want to try for a VBAC this go round. I think we will start our own thread in a bit!
So glad to be here and be on this journey with all of you! 💛
Hi all.... I'm Vee!
-EDD: July 16th -How we found out: Missed lady time -I'm a sahm to 3 kiddos (7💗,4 💙 & 1.5💗) -Married to my best friend, it'll be 11 years on January 6th. -I'm into a lil bit of everything.. binge watching movies, shows, all types of music, hiking, spending time with my family going on new adventures and chocolate. I don't drink, smoke or have any tattoos! I hate laundry, dishes and organizing toys.. lol
I found out Oct 27th after taking pregnancy test after pregnancy test. I suspected it on October 17th because I felt different. I could smell so acutely, the sight of a breakfast sandwich made me want to gag, and just felt off.
I work at a senior's care facility in admin. I love the industry; started working with seniors over three years ago and adore it to this day. I don't have a ton of hobbies to speak of right now, I'm just super majorly boring.
Married my husband after 5 years together this past April and it's been a whirlwind ever since! We hiked across England for our honeymoon (at the time I so wished we'd picked a warm beach instead) came back, cleaned up our condo and put it on the market, then found out we were expecting in October! We have two kitties, one is a grumpy old lady and the other is a mischievous 'teen' and we're excited to see how they are with our little bubs.
I was diagnosed with a large subchorionic hematoma at 7 weeks after a couple of bleeds, which shrank to moderate within a week, and there was no sign of it at our last ultrasound at 12w4d. Phew! However, at that ultrasound we found out that I have a single artery cord and am at a higher risk for preeclampsia. That was a lot to take in at one day! Still hopeful but honestly, feeling pretty sad some days that it feels like my pregnancy so far has felt like an obstacle course, just trying to avoid one disaster at a time. I'm just hoping everything turns out ok. Hoping you're all having wonderful pregnancies!

welcome and congrats! Please take a second to check out this thread: ***IF YOUR NAME STARTS WITH "KNOTTIE"*** The knottie names are super tough to recognize from the drive by posters and impossible to tag.
My bestie also dealt with SUA during her first pregnancy. It meant some extra scans for her but her DS was perfectly safe and healthy. Hopefully you have the same experience!
@lizzybean84 welcome! Glad to hear the hematoma is decreasing. I’ve had some suspicious bleeding that they suspect was from one as well. I know it can be hard! I’ve also seen many many babies with a “2 vessel cord” blaf is right extra scans! But a lot of the time things work out just as well as with two arteries! FX for the same for you!

How you found out: My husband and I were living apart due to our jobs. He was visiting for the weekend and I decided to POAS just in case. I was super shocked to find out I was pregnant, as we had just started TTC that month. My hubby claims he was not surprised 🙄
Hobbies, Job, Etc: I am a genetic counsellor. I enjoy playing soccer, though I quit my Rec team as soon as I found out. Looking for new ways to stay active now! My husband and I also collect pinball machines and I volunteer with a rescue group, so that keeps us busy. Im also obsessed with true crime - books, shows, podcasts.
Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: My husband and I have been together for almost 8 years and married for 4 1/2. This will be our first baby! We have 3 dogs at home - all rescues! 😊

I wish everyone the best with their pregnancies and am excited to be on this journey with you all!
EDD is July 30th I had cramps that felt off and wasn't long after my lmp so I knew it wasn't period cramps. Decided to take a test a couple weeks later and it was positive! Took another one the next day and doctor confirmed it the day after! I cried (happy tears) when I first found out and immediately woke my husband up and showed him the test. Love being outside, taking pictures and spending time with family. I'm a teacher of toddlers and no two days are the same. Love my kiddos but nervous how it's going to go with a LO at home. Husband and I have been together going on 11 years and have been friends since early teenage years. This is our first so we are excited, nervous, everything. We have two dogs and some chickens. ☺️

I was super active on TB when I was KU with my daughter (March 14). I'm still in a FB group with over 100 moms from that board
- EDD: 7/2 - How you found out: POS - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I work outside of the home and love my job. Typically my hobby is running/working out, but that's taken the back burner these last few months. - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: I'm married and have 2 kiddos at home, a son (Aug 17) & a daughter (March 14) - Anything you’d like us to know 🙂 Not sure how much I'll be around, but just looking for some other ladies who are due around the same time to remind me how normal my crazy feelings are right now haha
ETA: in case there are any others in a similar boat to me...this is my 6th pregnancy, I had a cerclage placed 2 weeks ago to hopefully guard against cervical incompetence (also had one in my last pregnancy) and am high risk for pre-eclampsia. I am super anxious over both of these things on top of PGAL in general...so being on here is super helpful for me to bring my anxiety down (as much as possible).
@LaurenAsh23 I think I remember you from long ago - were you on TTCAL and/or PGAL previously (2013ish)? I had a different username at the time, but your name rings a bell. Either way, welcome!

Yes I was! what was your old username? I lived on ttc/ttcal/pgal for a year or two haha.
@lizzybean84 the cercalge procedure itself was fine. I was in a lot of pain when I woke up though and they gave me pain meds (which I told them prior to surgery always make me sick), so I was throwing up/not eating for nearly 2 days. Once I came out of that, the spotting/pain only lasted a few more days.
I'm new here. Looking forward to this new journey with everyone ❤️
I am 34 and my husband is 36, we live in the Seattle area. This is my first pregnancy after 2+ years of trying, finally successful with IVF. I'm definitely feeling more nervousness than excitement right now. I'm so paranoid of having a MC. Hopefully as time passes, my fears will subside.

This is my lil rainbow baby girl #Praise
I was super active on TB when I was KU with my daughter (March 14). I'm still in a FB group with over 100 moms from that board
- EDD: 7/2
- How you found out: POS
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I work outside of the home and love my job. Typically my hobby is running/working out, but that's taken the back burner these last few months.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: I'm married and have 2 kiddos at home, a son (Aug 17) & a daughter (March 14)
- Anything you’d like us to know 🙂 Not sure how much I'll be around, but just looking for some other ladies who are due around the same time to remind me how normal my crazy feelings are right now haha
Expecting again -- EDD 7/27/20
I'm new here. Looking forward to this new journey with everyone ❤️
I am 34 and my husband is 36, we live in the Seattle area. This is my first pregnancy after 2+ years of trying, finally successful with IVF. I'm definitely feeling more nervousness than excitement right now. I'm so paranoid of having a MC. Hopefully as time passes, my fears will subside.
- EDD: 7/13/20
- How you found out: positive Beta test 9 days post transfer. I was too scared to answer the phone from the nurse, I had to have my husband find out the result first
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I am a full time pharmacist
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: my husband is an attorney. We have an 11 yo Maltipoo who is very spoiled and bratty.
- Anything you’d like us to know: I'm having a girl! 🥰
