@emeraldduchess yes, it’s nice knowing so far that there is nothing wrong that needs to be corrected...and maybe we have just been unlucky so far! That is great YH was on board for IUI with no hesitation. Although I’ve still got my fingers crossed this is your cycle!!
@kpearse99 That is super frustrating. Hopefully that is something that your RE is able to figure out soon for you. And get you to O! Unfortunately I have no experience with Letrozole to help you out with.
Only 6 of the 12 were mature. But all 6 fertilized. I feel like I’m on a crazy roller coaster of emotions. I’m kinda depressed I lost half already but nurse said that because all 6 fertilized that probably means quality is good. Next update is on Friday.
@hanshotfirst77 I can't even imagine that roller coaster of emotions, but I hope the nurse is right and they are 6 healthy and good-to-grow embryos! Are you doing PGS?
@hanshotfirst77 FX those 6 eggs are stellar and you get a great update on Friday! @nitnat007 it's a HIO marathon right now. This will be me when he gets home this afternoon.
@mokay19 I was planning on it. But now I’m not so sure I want to risk losing more. The doctor is supposed to call on Friday so I think I’m going to ask what he thinks.
@ruby696 haha! That could work. I'm also one busted cycle away from bringing home a kitten. And since DH doesn't like cats and is allergic, that's motivation enough.
@emeraldduchess yay for moving forward with iui. MH does the same thing, I've practically got a power point presentation set up and I start the conversation and get a "that's fine" lol. And your kitten comment made me lol, start showing him kitten pics online, that should really motivate him 😂
@emeraldduchess that's so funny and great about YH's response - sounds like how MH would be... or has been! We always prepare these speeches to backup our reasoning and then we don't even need to use them!
@jennifer_louise No, I don't temp. I wake up so much throughout the night because of the dogs and then it takes me a while to fall back asleep. I just feel like the temps would be all over the place and never consistent. My RE is persistent though that upping my letrozole dose will solve all of this next cycle.

Still sick but dragged my ass to work and currently feeling like I'm dying so forgive me if I don't respond to everyone...
@hanshotfirst77 that's wonderful news that all 6 of your mature eggs fertilized!! I hope they all make it to blast! FX FX so hard. That'll make the sting of losing the other 6 maybe a little less painful. @inthewoods23 amazing news! This is it girl, this is your ticket to May! Ahhhhh!! @emeraldduchess so glad to hear YH is on board with moving on to IUI, but FX you don't need it. Also, the kitten, bahahaha.
@kpearse99 Oh man, the long confusing cycles are the worst. I hope you get some better answers soon. @mokay19 I'm so sorry about YH's SA results. We've been there too. MH keeps apologizing that his lil swimmers aren't doing their jobs and keeps blaming himself for our IF, even though we know my PCOS is a challenge. He also went through IF with his ex-wife, but again, she was the one with DOR and premature ovarian failure and they were told they'd need donor eggs if they ever wanted biological children *TW* yet she somehow ovulated a miracle baby Jesus egg that her new bf somehow fertilized and they now have a miracle baby *end TW*. That's not helping his confidence at all. I don't have any advice for you other than to lean on each other for support. You're in this together! At least that's what we tell each other. @bluetickgal what whaat, that's really encouraging that your SHG cycle might not need to be a benched cycle! Yay!!
AFM, my body officially hates me and is now punishing me with AF. Way to kick me while I'm down. Already had my pre-AF meltdown on Monday night so now I'm just sulking. And *TW* my cousin had her baby Monday morning, so I'm thrilled for them but hurting at the same time. *end TW* Apologies if I disappear for a few days, I'm struggling to function.

@bluetickgal I missed you yesterday, sorry you must’ve posted while I was typing my essay! I’m glad everything has come back normal so far and that you’re getting a jump start on the next cycle!
@nitnat007 ahhh that seems so far away but it’ll be here before you know it- I can’t believe it’s about to be September! At least you’ll have plenty of time to get all your testing done!
@kpearse99 I’m so sorry hopefully your body is just taking extra long to pick the right egg this cycle.
@jennifer_louise nooooo why you no cooperate body?!!! That’s ok, We can still be May BMB friends.
@emeraldduchess awww Im so glad YH is on board with doing the IUI next cycle!
@inthewoods23 wooooo awesome lining! Can’t wait to join May with you!
@hanshotfirst77 ah man. I’m sorry that half didn’t make it. BUT! I’m so happy that means as of right now, you have 6 chances! FX for a good report on Friday!
@kiki047 I don’t have much to say but just know I’m sending you so much love, friend ❤️
I successfully did my trigger shot last night so I was proud of myself. My bff (nurse) FaceTimed me to help me along. I also had a glass of wine. I thought DH was going to faint 😂 I guess I’ll be doing all my own shots from now on...
@kiki047 thanks, I’m hoping that stays true! So sorry you are still sick...and AF on top of that! 😭 Sending hugs & positive vibes!!
@b_1029 haha, no worries! I’m still paranoid I missed someone, that was a lot to catch up on! Thanks! Yay for getting your trigger done! I would definitely struggle with that and I’m not sure MH would be any better!
I had my mid-cycle monitoring appointment this morning. It went well and I had one 22 mm follicle and a 7.13 mm lining. I'll be triggering tonight! I'm so happy to get the trigger done before this weekend vacation and having to worry about traveling with it in a cooler! My thoughts: my OPKs are not even close to positive and normally I don't get a positive until CD18-20. I'm currently on CD16.... maybe the last 7 cycles without the trigger have had late ovulation because my eggs are getting over-ripe in the follicles? I asked my doctor that and she basically said that they don't know if that's something that happens in natural and oral medicated cycles, but it's possible. She said that it's more likely in IVF since people take drugs to purposely suppress ovulation and can then hold the eggs in too long but she didn't know if your body would naturally hold them in too long. With how bloated that I've been feeling and the seemingly "heavy" ovaries, I was kind of hoping for more than one mature follicle but I will GLADLY accept just one. Does anyone else have a lazy ovary? My left ovary has never developed a mature follicle...
Oh, also, I asked the doctor more about DH's low morph (0.9%) and she said that it can fluctuate and that it could have been a bad sample that they grabbed. However, she said that since they do ICSI with IVF (our next step) that it wouldn't make a difference since they wouldn't choose the bad sperm for the eggs anyway and she isn't worried. She said that he needs to continue his vitamins and especially his CoQ10. So that was good to hear... though, I'm a crazy person so I'll still worry.
@mokay19 that's all really great news!!! So so exciting you get to do the trigger tonight!!

@kiki047 I'm sorry about the sickness and af and the emotions. I had my weigh in last night and gained. I wasn't surprised, I told my sister "I had a lot of emotions and I ate every damn one of them!" I hope you start to feel more like yourself soon.
@mokay19 so far my right one has never produced a mature follicle! It has like 5 on it but they’re all teeny. Ol leftie has been doing all the work. Hope your trigger goes well tonight!!
@b_1029 Great job on pulling that trigger on your own! You rock!
@mokay19 Great update. Really glad to hear that your RE is not concerned about the low morph. I definitely feel that it could have just have been a bad sample and that is what icsi is for! FX for you this cycle though and maybe wont eve need that IVF.
@mokay19 glad things are looking good! I've noticed that too where an OPK is nowhere near close to positive and yet I'm told to trigger. Obviously we're triggering before ovulation occurs so it does make sense that OPKs would be negative.

Sorry I've been quiet this week, it's been crazy at work but I'm lurking and love-titting like mad. I have a life update which will likely cause a slight delay in our ART plans - I just found out I'm going to Morocco for work in a month! It sucks that it'll be right over my O, but I don't want to pass up the opportunity.
I'll be back later this afternoon after the RE to update!
Thanks @mokay19! I am an engineer. My company has lots of international projects and although I'm not personally involved in them, occasionally these opportunities pop up when they need help. I turned down a different trip to Japan last year because of TTC, and, well, I'm just tired of putting my life on hold so I said yes. 😊
@jennifer_louise awesome! Have we talked about this before? I'm an engineer, too! I don't do any cool traveling though haha I'm glad that you said yes! I work at a foundry
All 6 embryos are still growing! He told me to prepare that usually only 40% will make it to blast so though I am majorly relieved and happy they are all still growing I'm trying to prepare myself for a drop off at the next update. But I will still be hoping and praying they all make it.
@jennifer_louise Morocco sounds so amazing. I'm so glad you're going! Also, good luck at your appointment!
AFM: I had my CD3 T/V US and labs. Ultrasound looked good. So we're just waiting for the labs to confirm everything is a go for IUI! I picked up my Clomid last night from the pharmacy. The specialty pharmacy that is filling my trigger shot called and said my insurance is requiring prior auth, so hopefully that happens soon!

And *TW* my cousin had her baby Monday morning, so I'm thrilled for them but hurting at the same time. *end TW* Apologies if I disappear for a few days, I'm struggling to function.

@nitnat007 ahhh that seems so far away but it’ll be here before you know it- I can’t believe it’s about to be September! At least you’ll have plenty of time to get all your testing done!
@kpearse99 I’m so sorry
@hanshotfirst77 Great news! Six is a fantastic number! I can't wait for your updates and I'm crossing everything for you!
@emeraldduchess lol to the kitten comment!

@b_1029 great job doing your own trigger shot!
@mokay19 Great update. Really glad to hear that your RE is not concerned about the low morph. I definitely feel that it could have just have been a bad sample and that is what icsi is for! FX for you this cycle though and maybe wont eve need that IVF.
@kiki047 hope you're doing better today!

Thanks for all the well wishes! The trigger was just subq so it was nice and easy… though, I was like “what if I didn’t put all the medication in correctly?!?!” afterward haha. So, like a crazy person, I took an OPK before bed to make sure that it was positive... it was, don’t worry 😊

AFM my RE called with my day 3 update...

@hanshotfirst77 wonderful news about your embryos!
