Afm just got the results if my genetic screening and it was negative! I thought the results would take longer, but it was only 1 week. And I just had my blood drawn for the rest of my RE testing, hopefully the results come quickly too. I got my blood drawn at work and the phlebotomist said "I didn't know you were pregnant, how far along are you?" I told her I wasn't pg, that I'm infertile and she said they ordered a prenatal panel so she assumed and kept apologizing. Poor thing she felt awful!
@hanshotfirst77 great news!! Hope your embryos are exceptional and they all make it to the next stage!!
@shoogapoff glad your US went well! Yay for starting meds, hope the trigger gets approved quickly!
@splashmountain good news about your genetic testing! Was this karyotyping? That’s encouraging you got it back so quickly! Sorry for the confusion at the blood draw, that’s rough!
@hanshotfirst77 Great news friend! Fx so hard they keep growing!
@shoogapoff How exciting! I'm so glad your appointment went well!
@splashmountain You handled it with much more grace than I was when I was asked. I just mumbled something about "we'll see," and tried not to cry. When I came back for repeat hcg two more times, he finally figured it out. I know the guy's name at this point and with all the fertility testing he's drawn my blood for, I think he'll be just as excited as I'll be if I manage to stay pregnant.
@inthewoods23 Rocked out to this in the car today and thought of you. Hoping it's a sign.
@ruby696 FX so hard for you, friend! I'm definitely gonna be stalking you in MAY!
@splashmountain sorry for the awkward encounter, but I agree that you handled it very well.
@mokay19 I did not know you were an engineer! We got a nice little cohort of lady engineers here (@inthewoods23 too!).
AFM- The RE appt went basically as expected! I really like the place, everyone there has been super great. The doc agreed that we should move right to IUI. She did want to do an HSG (in addition to the SHG I already had) next cycle so that actually works out well for my travel and assuming all looks good, move into IUI in October (maybe be IUI buddies with @emeraldduchess?).
They took blood from both me and H to do genetic screening and a Vitamin D test, which I thought was interesting. They also did an ultrasound to check out my ovaries/ovarian reserve.
Things were looking good. They wanted to see a dozen follicles and they saw more than that. Also, fun fact, I got a +OPK this morning and mentioned that to her and she saw a follicle collapsing (I guess?) on the left so I guess that means I'm currently ovulating.
@jennifer_louise engineers unite!! I'm not sure if there's any fertility related reason for checking vitamin D, but I found out I was barely above being vitamin D deficient. It was winter at the time but it totally explained my sluggishness in the colder months.
ETA: oh! And of course that's awesome that your appointment went well!

@jennifer_louise sounds like you had a great appointment! And I’m not sure if there are any studies directly proving it, but I’ve heard/read that vitamin D levels have increased chances of a achieving pregnancy and some say it helps keep the pregnancy healthier til the end. Worth some sunshine and supplements 😄
@jennifer_louise so happy that you like your RE and the people in the office. That's so important! Hope you get your bloodwork results back soon.
@shoogapoff good luck with the Clomid! I hope the shot gets approved quickly and that your insurance company doesn't give you a hard time.
@splashmountain so sorry about the awkward blood draw. You handled it very gracefully.
As for me, I am firmly strapped into the TWW emotional rollercoaster. 😞 This whole process is taking such a toll on DH too, he had a good deal of performance anxiety this week and I feel terrible. Even though he is OK with moving on to IUI, he wishes we didn't have to. I think that pressure really got to him the other night and HIO was a real struggle. I think that's why I am not too optimistic about this cycle. We were both feeling anxious and under pressure which isn't how we wanted things to be. I am trying to let it go, though. It is what it is.
Sorry I haven’t kept up as much as I have wanted to this week. I’ll be coming back for comments today. It has been a busy week *TW loss* with the MC */TW* and RE appointments on top of doing unpaid setup of my classroom. Had my initial testing done yesterday. Now we wait about a week for results and DH goes on Friday for his genetic testing / SA. I am most interested in the AMH level.
Question: I had a CLC that measured 16 mm on Monday and I know it was from this past cycle. Do they shrink during the TWW and beyond or would that have been the size of the follicle at ovulation? I’m wondering if it has been an immature egg released and that’s why it was unsuccessful...
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@jennifer_louise So happy your appointment went well and you came up with a plan!
@emeraldduchess Sorry you’re on the TWW rollercoaster. I wish this process wasn’t so hard.. it’s so unfair. Hugs!
@NYTino24 FX for good results! Sorry I don’t know the answer to your question.
AFM, I had my ultrasound done last night. The official report will be in next week, but the tech did say she thought everything looked fine structurally and didn’t look like PCOS.. so that was a relief. Now just have the HSG left, but that won’t get booked until after my RE appointment.

@emeraldduchess I'm so sorry you and YH are struggling this cycle. I completely understand, it's the exact same for us. I feel like we're "out of ideas" in the bedroom to make my FW less of a slog. Major hugs, my friend and I sincerely hope all your hard work pays off this cycle and the IUI isn't necessary.
@NYTino24 I have no idea the answer to your question but I'm curious about that too because at my ultrasound this week I noticed that the follies had all kind of different sizes. I hope you get your results back soon and I hate that you're dealing with this MC at back to school time.
@misshelen86 great news! Hope you can schedule that consult soon.
@misshelen86 that's great that the technician didn't see anything that could indicate PCOS or structural issues! It's kind of cool seeing everything on the screen, isn't it?
@NYTino24 I'm sorry I don't have any answers for you, but I wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you. It's so unfair to be going through this at an already stressful time.
Oddly enough, my clinic didn't even test vitamin D this time, she said they just put everyone on 2000 daily because apparently it can't hurt, and pretty much all the ladies are deficient. <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/1o/fz6c7k4mrv85.gif" alt="">
@BusinessWife I got the same spiel from my RE. Pretty much no one is getting enough vitamin D. 🤷
