Hi! Wanted to come up here and join the discussion since I am set to have my transfer in late July **child/loss mentioned** A little bit of background: I found out I have stage 4 endo in my late 20's and we moved on to IVF pretty quickly. I had my retrieval at 30 and did a fresh transfer of one embryo which resulted in my 4 yo son. Due to starting our careers/moves we did not attempt for a sibling until March this year. We did a SET which resulted in a pregnancy but after initial rises betas dropped and it ended up being a chemical pregnancy. We still have 3 untested day 6 embryos left (5aa and 2x 4aa) and will put back a single embryo for the upcoming transfer.
I have been on estrogen 3x daily in addition to a patch for the last 7 days and lining this morning was at 11.8 mm. Next check is on 7/18. Feeling really hopeful about this transfer! Although I was sad about a chemical pregnancy the silver lining is that we at least know this protocol is working!
My clinic does super late betas (14dpt) and I never POAS since I want to keep the hope flowing and I know I would just drive myself crazy looking for different shades of pink.
Looking forward to having a place to share with ladies!

@italianmommy8 I have been following your journey on here and man it seems like you have been in such a rough place so many times. Hoping that it will all turn around and that your 2 remaining embryos are normal and will turn into healthy pregnancies!

@italianmommy8 I'm so frustrated for you. I can't believe all that has happened. I'm glad you're still finding a way to be hopeful now and I'm praying this works for you this time.
I had my last monitoring appointment this morning for my transfer on the 18th. All looked good with my lining (8mm) and now I'm just waiting for them to call me with my estrogen and progesterone levels which will give me the all clear to start PIO tomorrow night. I've been completely detached from this whole process and focusing entirely on other things. If it weren't for my phone notifying me 3 times a day to take my estradiol I would be completely forgetting that I'm even doing another FET next week. I'm hoping my brain hops on board here soon!

@wifeinraleigh28 it went well! Super quick, I was like wow is it over? The little guy thawed well and now I will be counting down the days until my blood test on 7/19 (my birthday too ahh!)
I am thinking about home testing early already... for those of you who have already done an FET - what’d y’all do??
@wifeinraleigh28 maybe being less engaged is a good things in some ways, hopefully less stress and your body will appreciate that. The 19th will be here in no time!
@LauraJon2015 I transferred 7/9 and was already thinking about home testing too! Unfortunately I had a complete failed cycle previously so I’ve never made it this far to the FET so I don’t know what I’ll do. But I reallllyyy don’t know if I can wait! Are you thinking about waiting until 5dpt again?
I live in Switzerland and the 3rd clinic I am at in 3 years,is a University Hospital. The other 2 I did IUI and medicated timed intercourse and talked about IVF being the best choice but wasn't ready. My doctor explained it to me that since there aren't proven studies that show embryo's that are tested effect the outcome in the end.It might even harm them. The 5 day blasts are only 125 cells and you need to take 5-10 cells away to test.I am young(34 she calls young)and have 9 embryo's left on ice so she didnt recommened to test them. They don't do extras or add ons either.Every Doctor and clinic has another idea..Starting today I have some cramps after my Frozen Embryo Transfer Yesterday.I know IVF isn't an easy process,it can be very lonely and most people never know what to say.But never give up on your dream..One day at a time.Try to keep busy and read books with facts and studies.I have read 3 books about IVF and it has helped me so much.
@LauraJon2015@akak23 For my first FET (which was successful) I never tested at home. Last time I caved at 7dpt. I’d like to think that helped prepare me for my BFN but I still took it pretty hard and took awhile to recover. I know going into this next FET that I can’t handle another long wait again and I plan to POAS each day starting at 4dpt. I need to have some kind of idea of what my body is doing.

@BalletAn, we are on similar schedules! My first check was 7/10 and my next is 7/17! I am thinking transfer 7/23, we'll see. My clinic does beta the same day but last time when I kept getting negatives I moved mine up to 9 dpt so I didn't have to keep doing shots.

@LauraJon2015@akak23, I POAS to save myself from having to do shots I don't need, and also to prepare myself for the outcome. First transfer failure was devastating, second I was more prepared that this doesn't work every time. Also, I test early so if it's negative I can stop meds and get my period and get things moving for the next step.

For my past 2 ET I always waitied 12 days to POAS because once you find out it is a BFN it is hard to be positive, you have so many extra hormones in your system and you go to a dark place right way.My clinic doesn't do Beta's until 14 days after anyways.Even if POAS is positive so many things can happen in the first few weeks. My first ET that happened I cried when I finally saw those 2 lines just to have my joy turn to sadness a few weeks later when I lost it.It causes extra worry if you test to early as well. There isn't much you can do either way.Just have to wait..Most things in life if you work hard it will happen..But IVF is a waiting game.Hurry up and wait..IVF works just have to wait for your time.
So @mrsjones91716if you get a positive on a home pregnancy test, you’ll stop taking your PIO and other medications before confirmed at the doctors office?
Also I’ve been cramping since my transfer 7/10, have you all also felt similarly after a FET? I’m guessing it’s from the catheter or the procedure.
@akak23 I don’t have cramps, but everyone is different. It could be from the catheter, or the hormones, or both. If it started same day as transfer, it probably isn’t implantation pains (or at least, that’s not what the cramps were from at first). I hope it gets better for you soon.
Hi all...new to IVF/FET. We had our ER on 6/18 and got 15 eggs, 11 mature, 9 fertilized and we have 6 frozen (3-AA, AB, BB, CB)! I developed OHSS so we had to change our fresh transfer to FET which is scheduled for 7/25. I have my lining check on 7/18 and will hopefully get the OK for FET on 7/25. I can't wait!!!
@akak23, did you mean if I got a negative on an hpt I would stop meds? I kept getting negatives, so I had the doctor move the test up from 14 dpt to 9 dpt to save my progesterone for next time and also not have to take shots I don't need. But I definitely didn't stop until beta confirmed negative I just didn't want to waste time and meds. If I got a positive I'd be ready to keep doing meds for the first trimester!

so great that there are lots of July transfers! I'm doing one end of this month. It will be a "natural" FET so my rX list is quite simple ... ovidrel for triggering ovulation, metrogel to kill all the bacteria, a progesterone suppository for the day of, and then endometrin for progesterone support afterwards. I'm relieved I don't have to do PIO shots but I have read not so lovely things about the suppositories as well. Can anyone give some insight or tips? My next check up is 7/18. Excited for everyone here x
Yes so exciting..Looking forward to see how everyone's transfers turn out.So far I am 5 days post FET.Only have had some cramping so far.I am just on oral meds. But the other 2 transfers I had vaginal progesterone.Which caused me to have discharge, spotting, itching and burning.I am glad I didn't need to use it for 12 weeks. My clinic just starting giving oral pills so I would ask if you have to do it vaginal.Wishing everyone the best outcome.
@nancinator welcome, exciting you’re getting close! I am taking the endometrin suppositories and it’s hasnt been bad for me at all. Getting used to putting things in my vagina took like a day, now I feel like whatever! I did have some oil “leaking” the first couple days, not for whatever reason I don’t at all anymore. I really wouldn’t worry about them, they’re no big deal, especially compared to everything we did for IVF!
@bv8952 eek 5 days!! When is your beta? Are you considering a HPT before?
Yes true..Compared to the shots and ER everything else is easier..At first I had some side effects to hormones but now I have almost none.My beta isn't until July 26th because we are on vacation,it should be on July 24th.I have a few HPT's but I like to wait till close to the Beta.I always convince myself I am pregnant until proven otherwise(PUPO).Have any of you seen the movie Privite Life?Looks good.

Transfer tentative for last week of July. She wants me to do Estrace three times a day and come back on Friday for ultrasound and blood work. I’m shocked by the news and prepared myself for the worse news.
Hi all..I wish everyone all the best with there up coming or current transfers.I will be waiting to take a HPT till closer to my beta on the 26th.This transfer I don't feel much different except for some cramping so not sure if that is good or bad news.I was up googleing last night, which is never a good idea.IVF is such a personal journey so hard to compare with other people.
@italianmommy8 That is wonderful news and I'm SO SO happy for you! Are you going to transfer them both at the same time?
@bv8952 I know it's so hard but try not to read into your symptoms. Some people don't get any symptoms and get a BFP. I didn't really have symptoms either time aside from some acheyness which was probably just from the procedure itself and the meds. One was a BFP and the other a BFN. I felt the same both times.
Our transfer is on Thursday and I have my mom flying out tomorrow to help with our LO so I can relax. Last time she was all over me right after the FET and jumped right on my stomach as soon as we got home . Not sure if that dislodged anything or not (will never know) but I figure it couldn't hurt to really make sure I take it easy this time around!
