  • I like my Shark as well! To help with the dog hair, I use the Arm & Hammer powder meant for dogs (check Lowe's or the pet aisle at Target). Sprinkle, wait twenty minutes, vacuum, empty vacuum, vacuum the heavier trafficked areas once more.

It works wonders for us, and improves the smell in that area for a couple days. It's a godsend, and so much safer than many things out there!

  • I really want the Dyson V10 pet! I've heard it works amazing! I've never actually spent decent money on a vacuum though, so I don't have much actual guidance lol

Just make sure you can drop the brushes. I’m getting rid of our dyson for that reason

  • Neato is soooo much better the Roomba. We had 1 and it always got stuck everywhere. We sold it. DH did a LOT of research before venturing again. This one actually maps out the house and "plans". It leaves such nice lines on the carpet too 😂
    We love our Neato!!

I kind of checked out in the second half of this week. Work got busy and I couldn't keep up here. :s But wanted to chime in @prpl11butterfly (and others who agreed) about YES, the state of our political decisions are just so disappointing right now. SO MANY THOUGHTS ON THIS. Too many to lay out here. If anyone is looking for a simplified break down of what happened in Alabama this week, Cup of Jo (blog) outlines it pretty clearly.
Do you follow Elizabeth Holmes on Instagram? Your SO MANY THOUGHTS and cup of Jo mentions tipped me off.

Setting your vacuum at the proper height. Meaning, the brushes can be higher or lower on your carpet.

The dysons are often meant for both carpet and hardwood. However, unless you can control the height of the underneath brushes, the vacuum does not get enough suction to pull everything out of the carpet because the brushes are higher due to being able to be used on hardwood or other non carpet areas. My dyson does not allow me to change the height of the brushes.

Anyone want to commiserate with me. I'm hot, tired, cranky and just want to poo like a normal human being again.
Yes I'm with you, the heat is demotivating me so much. I'm still exhausted from the 10 loads of laundry and mild cleaning from yesterday. I did give myself a time out and watched a movie after breakfast but I'm still tired cause if the heat.
  • @kindbytealikat I bought prune juice and took a shot (or two max) a night in first trimester when my digestive system was particularly slow. I found it helped for me.

I am wearing 3/4 length leggings today and managed to burn my shin on the hot oven door taking out dinner. I can’t believe how clumsy I am and am pretty sure it’s going to blister.
  • @geminigirl16 oh no!!  Sorry about the burn, they are the worst!  Hope it doesn’t blister.
  • @PenelopeSnuz77 Hahah. I do! I've been a Cup of Jo follower for years!!! And was just introduced to Elizabeth Holmes recently when she wrote an article about having the same name as the other (craycray) Elizabeth Holmes. But whereas I like to be up on all the royals gossip, I just don't get her SO MANY THOUGHTS obsession. But I do love that phrase.  :D

@kindbytealikat I drank aloe pulp first tri to help! Outside of that, yes. I’m miserable, and the allergy flare up doesn’t help, either
