@Courtster5609 I have 4 kids and my husband has a very unpredictable schedule and travels a lot so I usually don't have a choice but to bring them especially since we don't have family or close friends nearby to watch them. I try to always pack a few things to keep them busy. No one has ever said anything. In fact the MFM office I went to for my anatomy scans and growth scans actually had toys for the kids in the ultrasound room.

I know you've already had your appt but just for future reference.

  • @kfdrive I had my ultrasound on Friday at 10w3d and she said it looked like a girl. I was shocked because I expected a boy. I didn’t even know it was possible to tell or even guess this early. I won’t find out for sure until my 20 week anatomy scan in January. The wait is gonna kill me!
  • @kfdrive It might be a good idea to remove your name from your ultrasound pic (crop or black it out) for internet privacy. I told the U/S tech at our 12 week scan we weren't finding out so not to say anything (just in case). She said it'd just be a guess at that point anyways. If you want to know, kind of fun, but I wouldn't make a gender reveal based on that (if that's your kind of thing).

  • @kvh22 Oh my, thank you! I didn’t even notice it.

And yeah, definitely not throwing a party over it just yet!
  • @twinmomxx2 My husband is a twin, and he has twin sisters (plus another sister, and two cousins who were raised with him off and on - all 7 within 6yrs age gap). My MIL admits that the baby months were hard, but says it was actually harder with the singletons later on. You can do this!
  • @bgdwg I'm so so sorry for your loss. What a sweet baby ♥️
  • @eatinwatermelonseeds thanks hun. Roughest week honestly...she passed Tuesday after being diagnosed in August. Horrible to see her go but thankful she is not suffering anymore. Cancer is crazy. She was my "sister from another mister" these past 11 years and I'll miss her deeply. Grief + pregnancy hormones have made me such a wreck this week but the ultrasound was just the best thing. Ironically we heard the baby's heartbeat at the midwives around the same time that my friend passed. I feel this LO is going to be my positive thing to help pull me through and really might name her after my friend if it's a girl. ❤
  • @eatinwatermelonseeds Ps. Are we due date buddies?!
  • @bgdwg a friend from my first pregnancy board passed within a year of her cancer diagnosis. Less than 5 months after she was diagnosed with mets. It's HORRIBLE. I never met her in person, so it's totally different, but cancer is a terrible thing. I think it would be a beautiful thing to name a girl after her ♥️

And yes, we are!! Weirdly enough, I'm due the anniversary of the day the above friend passed away. So very strange how things work out ♥️
  • @bgdwg Cancer sucks. So sorry for the loss of you friend. Glad you have this sweet baby to be your shining star. Hugs to you ❤️
  • @bgdwg I’m so sorry for your loss. Beautiful ultrasound pictures ❤️
