It’s soup weather, and we had three quarters of a rotisserie chicken leftover. Enter chicken noodle soup (but maybe with some ribbons of bok choy that needs using).
and also ribs, because ILs planned on that for dinner.
and if I’m organized enough/can convince DH to occupy DD for longer, I’ll prep an apple pie for MIL’s birthday tomorrow!
Happy birthday to your mother-in-law @lyse01! My husband has decided to start making chicken noodle soup as well, and the same way. :-) I am extra happy for fall this year for the food and the weather haha
Please tell me it was a legitimate one from a bakery, not just a grocery store frozen product. My mouth is watering at the thought of a freshly baked croissant now....
I had to stop at the grocery store this morning and saw that they have Panera Mac and cheese that you can buy and heat at home. I didn’t buy it but now it’s all I can think about.
this is my backup acct. prevously helloblueeyes

I was lurking the May19 board and they were talking about baked potatoes. Now I can’t stop thinking about them. Stuffed with cheese and LOTS of sour cream. Determined to have one this week! On the other hand, I’m making penne alla vodka tonight. We have vodka in the freezer that has been sitting abandoned since my BFP and I might as well use it!
I get so sad at night. I eat well during the day but I'm still hitting the wall between 3-4pm and can barely stomach anything at night. Almost everything makes me gag. Right now a biscuit sounds good. Yep, you read that right. A freaking biscuit.
Still can't really eat meat, but chicken is making a comeback. Pork, beef, and lamb and me are ENEMIES. Love eggs still?! I entertain the crap out of my friends by telling them about the most recent aversions.
Now I desperately want a biscuit with butter and grape jelly.
@lyse01 Ooh that looks great! With the leftover apples, maybe either a sauteed or braised sausage, onions, and apples dish, or just cook them down into applesauce?
I want to make some kind of creamy no-good-for-you casserole tonight. Definitely planning on matzo ball soup this weekend, it’s been very chilly and rainy out and all I want is warm foods...
Lots of carbs and fruit. When I was pregnant with DS I went to Panera for bagels so often that the morning cashier new me by name, she knew my not yet born sons name, and knew my due date. I'd walk in and she would congratulate me on being X weeks
Ugh. I got a donut and a small decaf this morning and I couldn’t finish either they were so gross. My lunch isn’t sounding promising either. Last week I had no aversions so heyo~
Uncooked chicken wings are gross. Cooked ones are meh. How am I the person responsible for cooking them for dinner when I will absolutely not eat them?
@heather0128 I'm obsessed with frosted flakes, biscuits, and strawberries. And now grapefruit? Possibly I could do a sweet biscuit with strawberries... and maybe whipped cream.
Love squash bisque, of all kinds. There is a locally popular "fairy" buttercup squash that makes the sweetest soups, pies, roasted chunks. It's my new food friend.
YOU GUYS: homemade pizza again for dinner tonight!!
PSA Don’t go to the grocery store hungry, pregnant, and with two small children.....bad decisions are made lol. I’m pretty sure the healthiest thing I bought was goldfish
I have lost my sweet tooth, mostly craving savory and I am hungry all the time! Right after I eat my stomach is grumbling! My super craving which I’ve been eating once a week as a treat isn’t a whole wheat everything bagel with tofu scallion cream cheese tomato salt & pepper. I was gluten free before I got pregnant and that’s gone out the window, I want all the bread !

I bought some mozz sticks on Sunday and forgot to eat them. I'm still sad about it.
This week I was able to eat salad and vegetables! I was so excited till I started reading a book on expecting multiples where it laid out guidelines on how to eat with twins and HOLY CRAP they said like, 12 portions of lean protein a day. I thought I was hot shit when I ate two and a half eggs the other day! Guess not!
I stopped eating all deli meat as soon as I found out I was pregnant (and frankly, I also had huge aversions to turkey, chicken, and ham), but now (I’ll be 11w tomorrow) all I want is a huge Italian sub from my favorite NY deli! 😩

I'm so tempted to go make a peanut butter sandwich, and I just had dinner. Why do our bodies love going from nausea to ravenous hunger so quickly?!
oatmeal
chocolate croissant
mayan mocha (mmmm
mac and cheese
starburst
popsicles
I cooked pork chili verde in the instantpot for DH, but couldn't eat any of it myself.

and then leftover soup. And then pie dough, once I make it.
On the other hand, I’m making penne alla vodka tonight. We have vodka in the freezer that has been sitting abandoned since my BFP and I might as well use it!
I am generally dairy free, but string cheese has been calling my name.
I did find this awesome Vegan Mac N Cheese by Daiya that has been a go to for snackage lately.

Today i stuck within my safe carb zone and ate oatmeal, French fries, and cereal. Blah.

It was damn good. But now I have to figure out what to do with all the extra peeled/cored apple that didn’t fit into the pie.

I'm living in this really weird dichotomy of straight up candy and salads. If it's not totally healthy, it's junk food- there is no in-between.
But soup season is here and now I want to make homemade chicken noodle, so that's probably happening tonight.
DD born: 3/31/19

So, chicken out, pork out, lamb still okay but $$$. I will just make squash bisque tomorrow. And carrot-ginger soup after that.
YOU GUYS: homemade pizza again for dinner tonight!!
Also I really want some chicken wings
She also has other sauces linked with the same basic cooking instructions.
