I got an update: I will be staying one more night, planning on going home tomorrow. Still having some high blood pressures and they want to monitor me and baby after the second steroid dose tonight. The doctor told me that we will plan on delivering between 34 and 37 weeks. For now, I don't need blood pressure meds but it'll be something that may need added in the near future. Little man is still looking so great! Praise the Lord!
@mamajudec2018 I'm sorry I've been MIA on this. I hate that you are having to stay in the hospital, but I hope it gives you some peace knowing that they are watching you. That's the main thing that got me though my stay. So happy to hear that the baby is looking good, and I hope they can keep everything else under control and keep him in there as long to possible.
@hkom Thank you so much! Yes, it honestly gives me so much peace to know they are being so careful and on top of everything.
@katy0990 They didn't say anything about bed rest but they want me to follow up with my actual doctor this week (which I was already going to) and she'll make more specific decisions on all that kind of stuff. They also are going to monitor me super closely and just said they will adjust and add stuff and make decisions as needed since my condition could get way worse or stay exactly the same or maybe even get better.
@mamajudec2018 glad you get to go home tomorrow! And close monitoring is definitely a great thing to ease your mind. Keeping you and baby in my thoughts.
Hi everyone! Sorry for going dark. My TB app suddenly got very buggy on me (random pages opening when I didn’t click on anything!) and I was too lazy to power through it. Seems better now.
I’m officially 28 weeks today so the plan is for the doctor to assess this week and decide whether I need more time in the hospital. I’m really looking forward to going home but I also don’t want to rush it. I’ll let you know how it goes!
@barristerninja I'm hoping you are able to go home as long as you feel comfortable with that! Keep us posted!
@mag1cbeli3ver Thank you for checking in! They sent me home yesterday which has been nice. I was able to sleep so well last night! I have a follow up appointment with my actual doctor tomorrow afternoon. I think that's going to help me truly understand my outlook and just give me some peace. It's so different to talk to your actual OB over like the on-call doctor in labor and delivery you know? Right now, I'm supposed to just keep a log of blood pressures and then bring it to my appointments.
@katy0990 They've been consistently elevated but similar to how they were in the hospital which is probably good. At least they aren't getting worse you know?
@barristerninja ugh the bump app is so annoying and buggy sometimes, I get jt! Glad to hear you and baby seem to be doing well, and that there's a possibility you'll get to go home!
@mamajudec2018 definitely a good sign your BP readings haven't gone up. Hoping your appointment with your actual OB goes well!
Hi ladies. I wanted to update you. I have officially been admitted to the hospital until I give birth with pre-eclampsia. We are trying to get to 34 weeks! November 1st is our goal date!
@mamajudec2018 Good luck! Hopefully, they can give you some medicine to help keep your pre-e under control and help you grow that baby as long as possible.
@mamajudec2018 Sorry you have to be in the hospital, but also glad they’re watching you closely. I’m keeping everything crossed they can get you to your goal!
@mamajudec2018 Dang it, I'm so sorry you're in the hospital for the long haul, but like others have said, at least you and babe are being monitored! I hope baby stays put for as long as possible! Stupid pre-e.
@mamajudec2018 dang it!! I was hoping you wouldn't have to be admitted. I know my OB told me that GD increases the risk of pre-e, so it's something I've been worried about, so sorry you're dealing with this on top of everything else! Good luck lady, I hope the BP meds help and baby stays in as long as possible!!
@mamajudec2018 so sorry you've got to deal with pre--e and bedrest now but in the long run, it's better that you are admitted to the hospital where they can keep a watch over you and baby. Fingers crossed baby stays put for a long while yet and that everything else goes smoothly.
@mamajudec2018 I’m sorry you had to be admitted, but I’m glad you are getting the care you need! Hoping little baby stays in there till 34 weeks! I was a pre-e baby (but only 4 weeks early) and I was five pounds and still went home after just two days - you got this!
@mamajudec2018 I’m sorry you’re officially dealing with pre-e and in the hospital for the duration — but glad you are being monitored & treated so you and baby stay healthy.

@ab_canada They started me on some blood pressure meds last night so hopefully that starts to help.
