  • @maureenmce Oh, total surprise to all of us -- they live in KC and are renting the place to stay in whenever they're in town. So right now we're getting everything set up, since they're coming in this weekend. I'm glad we were at least able to take care of it before they rolled in on Sunday!

@katy0990 Ha, I don't know, not really. We went out for supper and he was up an hour past his bedtime anyway :# Fx he sleeps tonight. He still hasn't STTN since we started doing CIO, though he generally only wakes once a night and cries for about 5 minutes before settling. Come on kid!

    *Loss of Twin 5/2018*

  • @PensiveCrayon Not yet since he just got the news earlier today. But he says it's something that he should have expected with the way some of the managers have been talking, so he wished that he took the time to prepare for something like this.

@rosebud332 Thankfully he will get a severance package. I believe he will get paid up until a week before Christmas, which of course will be right after the baby is here. But hopefully that will be enough time for him to get a new job. He is known to be picky about what he applies for, but hopefully he will be better this time because he knows he can't go jobless.

@whitneyb89 I'm so sorry you guys are having to go through that. I hope he is able to find something else very soon but so happy to hear about the severance package!
  • @whitneyb89 how stressful for you! Sorry you're going through this. I suppose it's better that he found out now so that he can hopefully have something settled and ready to go by the time baby comes. Not like anyone wants this to happen, but I suppose the timing could have been worse.

@PensiveCrayon nice of you to help out your in-laws. It sucks that you were stuck in a 90 degree house with a toddler for almost 3 hours!
  • @whitneyb89 I’m sorry to hear about the layoffs at your h’s company. The timing is terrible. I hope he’s able to find a new position soon!
  • @whitneyb89 Oh no. I am so sorry to hear you guys are going through that. Hopefully he can find something between now and when baby is here.

@PensiveCrayon Ugh! That's terrible. At least it was discovered before they came though, so it could be fixed ahead of time. How miserable though. I cannot deal with the heat.

  • @whitneyb89 Oh no! :( I'm sorry that happened with his job. I hope he's able to find something quickly and get some extra overlapping pay with a new job & the severance package.

@PensiveCrayon Yuuuuuck. Just yuck. I'm glad you both survived, and I hope you get some goodies from them for your favors!!
