I’ve been craving bagels with cream cheese topped with tomato slices and salt lol! Hot food as little to no appeal. Cold fruit especially red grapes!!! Yum!
I had the worst craving for a burrito last night... got it, got home, started eating it, and couldn't finish it. Yet if I go too long without eating, my stomach acts like it's trying to absorb itself it's so hungry. Ugh.
@kangstadt I have the saddest pizza story of all time. I was too lazy to cook and DH was getting home late so I ordered pizza. I got two larges because there was a coupon and there’d be plenty of leftovers for the next time I was too lazy to cook (aka - every meal for the next 6ish months). I forced myself to eat 2 slices, when I usually would’ve had much more, so I feel your pain @thatbaintforbetty, and then I left the rest of it out for DH to have when he got home. When he got home he went to the pizza boxes, and they were covered in ants! Two large pizzas that we had to throw out because of fucking ants! We’ve been having a problem with them for a while, but I had the boxes on an area of the counter they’d never been before, and they were only out for like an hour!
@wearegroot Damn, that IS a sad pizza story. I love pizza, it’s one of my favorite foods.
Last time I really only had an aversion to eggs so this whole I can barely eat anything is just depressing. And annoying. And only making my heartburn a bigger problem.

breakfast lately has been a hamburger bun, or whatever carb i have on hand that I can actually make myself eat. Then if i'm still desperate while i'm out i get a mcdonalds breakfast sandwich which seems to be the only thing that consistently makes me less nauseous. Lunch and dinner I have to make whatever sounds good - its driving my DH crazy bc he wants me to cook healthy but I just can't. I've been weirdly craving those asian salad kits.
I'm in the same boat as others who said hot food didn't sound good. I literally gagged forcing myself to eat a couple slices of a frozen pizza (a kind i normally love) for dinner tonight.
I tried to make a slow cooker venison stew the other night and had to open every window in the house bc the smell grossed me out so much so I'm not sure how much more cooking I'm gonna be able to do.
Sorry this post was totally disjointed but its late and i'm brain dead.
ibe been eating so much this week because I’m at a work conference and we’ve been going to two receptions an evening. What haven’t I been eating is the better question.
@midwestmommy90 I'm with you, mostly I can't eat anything! No red meat, except in soups and stews. NO pork, except bacon. Chicken if it's cut off the bone like I'm a child! And fish if I don't have to smell it everywhere. No milk (except in things), no ice cream, and chocolate gives me headaches now. Random foods make my stomach turn, and I don't know how much until I put them in my mouth.
Breakfast I can still do my fried egg on toast, for which I'm grateful. Cereal or fruit as snack. Caprese salads and plenty of baby bell cheeses w/apple slices. Not into a lot of carbs, or at least not anymore than usual. Boiled eggs, egg salad, tuna salad (the good tuna, only once a week or less), salmon salad are my favorites.
PIZZA!! I agree with you all there, it's the best. I started having trouble with all that cheese though.
@wildcosmiclove Yes to stuffed olives and pickles. I eat both of these like it's going out of style, had a half jar of pickles the other day for a snack.
I have to eat every 2 hrs, and I'm never hungry until I put food in my mouth. I just want my normal appetite back!
So far I found that I can’t eat salmon and mashed potatoes. All other potatoes are fine go figure. I craved Buffalo wings for week got them and they were the best thing ever. I must have spicy food. Deli pickles only the one that comes in the big jar with all the pickle juice and they can’t cut them. I must eat dinner as soon as I get home or I feel like the world is coming to an end. Love bacon, ice cream or anything that sounds good. If it doesn’t sound good or look good I don’t even bother trying it. Also love burgers but it has to be from Burger King made the mistake of having a Wendy’s burger and that was an epic fail. Ohh yes Subway but only one sandwich. The guy made it wrong the other day and I almost cried real tears right there in the store. Sigh
@wearegroot, oh no! I think I would cry. We've eaten way too much pizza lately but it's one of the only things I can stomach.
I've definitely been an awful cook lately, my poor kid's diet has suffered too. Usually DH cooks dinners since I'm working, but since I haven't been grocery shopping much either, he's been resorting to feeding our kid whatever we have on hand. Needless to say, I need to either make myself grocery shop or tell DH he's got to pick up the slack if he wants protein (I'm also vegetarian and they're both carnivores... I may also have been neglecting to buy raw meat since it's grossing me out lately).
I've found that I can't handle most meat right now. Or most foods. I am so ready for first trimester to be over.
ETA: so the foods I have been able to eat are frozen pizza, chicken enchilada soup from Chili's, scrambled eggs (only one night and I put bacon salt on them). I eat fine during the day but then at night, it's game over.
I can’t even remember who posted what at this point, but whoever said chips and French onion dip - I’m not even “allowed” to buy onion dip because I will finish it all in one sitting. No joke.
My appetite is on and off. I am managing to eat enough food, but sometimes I’m just choking stuff down. Fruit is sitting very well with my system, especially any type of frozen fruit.
I am currently on a carb-only diet because nausea is a bitch, so lots of toast, crackers, cereal, and PB&J sandwiches lol. Although today for some reason I REALLY want a caesar salad....so I might have to make that happen!
@mrstmoose I am basically vegan during the first trimester. Meat/eggs/cheese all make me soooo sick. Normally I love all of it but I just can't right now.
Ugh, legitimately had to take a break in the middle of reading this because I was getting nauseous reading about all these foods!
Carbs are the only thing that really sound good, but even most of those make me nauseous after I eat them anyway...at least I can get them down, though!
Cold stuff is the only thing that I'm having an ok time with, like fruit or veggies with dip, plus smoothies are great but I'm too lazy to go out and get them most of the time so it's only when I don't feel too bad sending H out (bless his heart, he's actually a doll about offering). My appetite comes and goes, but today I'm hungry and I'm currently heating up a secret Ellio's pizza while H goes to 16 Handles to get me a smoothie

@kangstadt and @mrstmoose I can’t cook any raw meat during my first trimesters. I can eat it as long as I don’t cook it. Luckily my mom has been making a couple freezer meals each week for me and DH will cook whatever meat we are having. Otherwise my kids would be eating easy Mac and frozen pizza every night lol.
@kitkat8387 yes to pb&j sandwhiches. I think they are my go to pregnancy meal.
@sheepshepherdess I was like that around that time (I’m almost 11 week now). Stay hydrated and nibble on things throughout the day. I find the longer I go without eating the worse my nausea gets. Some days I only eat crackers, grapes, and peanut butter toast. On my good days I try to get more protein and veggies in.
I made the mistake of exploring the rabbit hole of Pinterest dessert recipes...
Long story short, I now have cinnamon buns in my oven.
Omg I’ve been cravings cinnamon rolls but right now sweet things make my stomach feel crummy, boo! Also the Pinterest rabbit hole is one of my favorite places to go when I can’t sleep lol
I definitely lost my sweet tooth for about three weeks, now it seems to have come back a bit, even though nothing really feels good in my stomach right now.
@professormama, I'm not a huge soup person normally but I may have to try... I haven't been able to stomach any vegetables lately. Any favorite brands/recipes?
@MRDCle, I've had that twice now in the past week. Tomatoes count as a veggie, right?
@kangstadt right now I’m digging the Panera butternut squash soup (or whatever it is), and my husband made me a great spicy black bean soup. Both were puréed. I think the texture free thing was key.
Today: donuts and kolaches and a chai latte for breakfast. Cheese and crackers for lunch. Rice and beans for dinner. Ice cream for dessert. And yesterday was chick fil a and a baggie of almond m&ms. That’s literally it. I suck at eating things of nutritional value but I just can’t seem to quit the junk food this week. I need a salad.
Couldn’t hold down an english muffin yesterday, but I was able to eat a bunch of beef and mushroom goulash/stew over egg noodles a few hours later. Wth, body.
Re: What I’m Eating - meal/craving check-in
Pizza for dinner tonight.
Carbs. Carbs. Carbs. Nom nom.
Considering i I had a complete aversion to all food for awhile it’s whatever I can actually eat right now.

This is is the first week my appetite is finally back. We had chicken enchiladas tonight
Really looking forward to being less food averse at some point hopefully.
Other than that, my mom mentioned Wendy's today and now all I want is a chocolate frosty and fries to dip in it.
I just want to eat.

I think im going to become a soup-atarian for the rest of this trimester... it’s the only way I can stomach vegetables or proteins.
