@adough27 I live in Atlanta! I hope y'all have fun!
Everyone: Target currently has buy one get one 50% off on all of their bras. Useful if your bra size has changed since getting pregnant. Plus it'll give you an excuse to go to Target.
I can't focus for shit at work today. Yesterday I was SO productive, but today I'm lurking around other boards reading what the crazies are posting. Red raspberry leaf tea thread at 30 weeks? Reading that guy. Loony anti-vaxxers? Come to mama. Just so much more appealing than doing real work
@BourbonBiscuits - I start RRL tea at 30 weeks. It’s a uterine tonic and won’t put you into labor. I start with one cup per day and by 36 weeks I’m up to 6 a day.
Dont mind me trying not to barf at 12 weeks. I’m really over this shit.
@BourbonBiscuits my favorite lately is the "Real Answers" section of The Bump. Current question: "I have static cling on my clothes! Could this hurt the baby?"
@kayjay44 I'm very much in the camp of "do what you want with your body" but so many people freak out and take it as a personal attack that someone would drink tea lol. I never did with my first but ended up being induced at 41 weeks so that worked out great for me lol
@BourbonBiscuits - I just don’t want any of y’all to think I’m crazy when I start doing it I also start EPO at 36 weeks. No idea if any of this shit actually works, but it helps me feel like I have some control over something I really have no control over
@hannahbananas11 I went to target this weekend and spent legit $300 oops
Re: raspberry tea etc I definitely tried taking primrose oil when I was overdue with DS lol
anybody considering a baby moon? My husband and I really need some alone Time. Everything has been high stress for us and we haven’t even had a date without DS in forever. Our anniversary is in October so I was thinking maybe Columbus Day weekend but I have no clue what to do. Thoughts?
@dcaron10 I'm in Decatur. I don't think I could deal with living any closer to downtown than that. My DH and I like to head up north to Red Top Mountain on the weekends to hike, which is probably near y'all! We should meet up some weekend for a lunch double date or something!
@danixbanani24 I was planning to only buy a bra today, but ended up spending a little over $100. So it goes with Target. My husband and I are planning on a babymoon to a small bed and breakfast in the North Georgia mountains in the fall. The leaves will be changing and it won't be terribly hot, so it'll be fun to hike some. They have a spa that offers couple's massages (prenatal is one of the options), and there's a really good restaurant nearby that has farm-to-table food. I'm thinking one day of hiking with massages in the afternoon, then another day of maybe a scenic drive through the mountains followed by a fancy dinner. I'm a big fan of B&B's because they usually have really nice beds and linens, and it's much more cozy and quiet than a hotel. Plus, a full breakfast each morning!
@hannahbananas11 I LOVE b&bs, even if they make me feel like a grandma. My husband and I stayed in a b&b the night of our wedding (we eloped in April) and it was amazing. Breakfast the next morning was a lifesaver.
@hannahbananas11 Red Top mountain is right by me!! Yes we should definitely get together sometime! Yeah there’s no way I could live any closer to Atlanta lol
@adough27 Atlanta is pretty fun, especially the restaurants! There's a new-ish spot downtown called Ponce City Market that has excellent food and fun little shops, and it's right on the Beltline (a huge walking path with all sorts of artwork along it) which is fun to walk after eating dinner. If your friends are looking for a fun spot for dinner, I'd recommend it!
@danixbanani24 - We did a true babymoon with #1 (Hawaii). With #2, we didn't do much. DH and I just went to the Bahamas sans kids in February (as part of a fully paid for, all inclusive work trip due to my extreme kick-assery at work), so I doubt we will do anything. We might do a small trip after baby is here, but will take the kids.
@danixbanani24 I’m considering doing a long weekend babymoon! Probably somewhere fairly local, there are tons of nice resorts around here and it’s beautiful in fall. I turn 30 on a Saturday in the middle of second tri, so I’ve told H I want a romantic getaway for my birthday. I’ll probably have to do all the planning, but I don’t mind!

@katamca and @dcaron10 How neat! In a few weeks once I'm (hopefully) past morning sickness and feel like eating real food, I'll send y'all a DM to see if y'all would like to meet up for lunch somewhere! It'd be fun to have a little Atlanta Bump meetup!

I’m back from a huge family vacation (20 people!) and we all survived. Now I’m trying to come out from under the enormous pile of laundry and crap that needs to be put away.
I did not have it with my first kiddo. And yep, 3 pts on the fasting reading. My friend got diagnosed from the same, hers was quite a bit higher than mine but some docs are more conservative about it from what I’ve read. I’m sure this will help me lose some weight which is nice. I lost pretty consistently with my daughter and lost weight eating nothing but carbs. Fucking salads will really do the trick lol.
My friends periods have been wacky since April and she’s taken 5+ pregnancy tests every month since and they’ve all been negative. She finally called the doctor for a blood test which came back positive. They scheduled her for an US this morning thinking she was 5ish weeks. She asked me to go since her husband works out of state... shes almost 23 weeks!!! We were all speechless!

**STUCK IN BOX** This happened to one of the women from my first BMB - she didn't find out she was pregnant until 20 weeks because all her HPTs were negative and she still bled every month like she was getting her period. She went in for her annual and it was quite a shock.
Instead of napping my kid decided to to play with the shit in her diaper and it is EVERYWHERE her included. She also tried to put her shit covered hands IN MY MOUTH!
