Hi all. Current symptoms over here are near constant fatigue to the EXTREME. I legit had a small BM the other day and I got sooo tired after, it was hard to just walk up the stairs lmao. I luckily am able to nap when tired at this juncture in my life, so im grateful for that. Sore boobs and nips. I scheduled my first doc appt before finding out I was pregnant, because I thought I had a growth in my breast, turns out righty just was growing before lefty, haha. I also have that expanding sensation in the womb at times-which is so lovely, feeling life blossom. Sensitive smell, odd cravings. I wanted fried oysters and pickles the other day, and I hate pickels. Unfortunately the closest fried oysters are an hour away- I know because I spent over hour online scouring the menus of every restaurant nearby. Sending positive thoughts to the spotting mommas. I had bright red spotting for 2 days around week 4. I thought it was my period, at the time..midwife said it was likely implantation.
@grebretso Thinking of you. Please share any updates

So. I had more bleeding (gush of red blood but only for 5 minutes, weirdest thing I've ever experienced) and bad lower back pain and some cramping on Thursday night. It trailed off but my fertility clinic asked me to come in again for an ultrasound yesterday. I thought I was 6 weeks but hoping we're wrong because they could see the sac, and the subchorionic hematoma, but no embryo.
They said it could be too early to see or some of the blood/SH could have been in the way but that seems like false hope to me. Though they haven't diagnosed blighted ovum yet. Waiting until this afternoon for beta results and if those are good, more betas on Monday and if those are still fine, ultrasound on Wednesday.
Honestly I thought my pregnancy was over last Wednesday so all these bits of hope have of course been better than the alternative but honestly, can I just know already? I know that a blighted ovum is "normal" and nothing to do with the SH, and certainly not my fault but if this isn't our baby, I just so desperately want to move on so we can plan our next step.
@Evergreenmist I know what you mean, the waiting is the hardest part especially when your hopes keep going up and down. I’ve been there with both good (DD) and not good (mc) outcomes. I really hope you get your answers soon!
@grebretso I had light red spotting with DD at 4 weeks and also 7 weeks. No SCH but healthy and uneventful pregnancy after those two incidents. It’s very nerve wracking but can also turn out to be nothing. Hope all goes well with your betas and that time passes quickly!
**TW** I'm in a similar boat, this morning I had a gush of dark red spotting with a pretty big clot, after days of brown spotting and a little bit of red yesterday. The spotting/bleeding today looks exactly like how my CP in January started, and it's even almost the same day (4w3d today, last time it was 4w2d). I'm still POAS like a chump and the line is still dark, but I'm not hopeful at this point. I know some people bleed in early pregnancy and are fine, but let's be real, CP's are way more common, especially at only 4 weeks.
I'm going in for my second beta today and I'll have my answer Tuesday or Wednesday, but I pretty much know the outcome already. I won't post anymore here until then, I'm already starting to like a whole bunch of you ladies and I don't want to make friends I have to move on from. **End TW**

@grebretso and @evergreenmist, I'm thinking of you both. I'm so sorry that you're having to go through the agonizing waiting and painful uncertainty of all of this. I'm hoping for the best for both of you.
So I'm 5 weeks along w 1st baby and my skin has been acting up like crazy! I normally have acne prone skin (even at almost 40 yrs old ugh) but this is more allergic reaction type stuff hives, tiny scabs that come from no where and itchiness. My belly looks like heat rash. Seems this is not abnormal from what I've read but is anyone else having similar skin issues? Other then that I've experienced frequent urination and do get insanely full when I eat, even if it's not a massive amount of food. And I get out of breath from doing almost nothing. This experience is like nothing I could imagine. Some days I feel pregnant and some days not, so weird!
@bunnyfoo2199 totally normal. I have to up my skin care routine when pregnant. I have super sensitive skin which is tough. I also get super itchy and have flare ups of psoriasis.
@grebretso And @Evergreenmist I am so sorry you guys have to be in this limbo over the weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed for both of you. Hoping for a positive outcome.
Hi all. This is my first pregnancy and google has ended up heightening my anxiety!! So far my symptoms are major fatigue and very sore breasts. No sickness (yet) but some nausea here and there. Question for others: has anyone experienced major back pain- to the point of shooting pain down the legs? I read things that say it’s common for first trimester and others that say it’s a MC symptom- anyone else experience this? Thank you in advance!
@dogmom1118 Stop googling. Dr Google is not your friend.
As for back pain, it can be normal. I have had back pain early on always. I have back problems normally and they are exarcerbated early on (and then actually get better in my case).
@dogmom1118 - I had back pain - pretty much like sciatica pain - almost right away with DD and I’ve already had some this pregnancy too. I’m not sure what causes it so early since obviously baby is so tiny. My cousin said she had it really early too and her mom told her it couldn’t be bc of Baby. But I’ve had it now with both pregnancies around 6-8 weeks.
@Evergreenmist and @grebretso Sending all the good vibes! FX everything works out well for you two ladies!
@dogmom1118 Back pain is definitely a normal pregnancy symptom. Pressure on your sciatic nerve from your uterus growing and expanding can cause pain at any point in the pregnancy. Relaxin loosening thw joints can cause you to have differences in your posture which could cause irritation to your back. There are all sorts of perfectly normal reasons for pregnancy related back pain that don’t mean a non-viable pregnancy. Dr. Google is definitely not your friend and typically causes more stress and harm than good.
My main sympton has been terrible MS and nausea. I have never puked so much in my life.
As of right now I have sore boobs, “am I hungry or queasy?” feeling, major fatigue and some really dull cramping. With DD the cramps were sharp and would stop me in my tracks so I’m appreciating the dull.
1st pregnancy - 6w2d - sore breasts, bloat, senstive smell, fatigue, moments of neasea but no vomit - rather diarrhea. I also have a dry mouth. I’m so thirsty all the time. Overall I am very, very happy (combined with times of anxiety).
Updating on my symptoms, no further spotting since last week although wont deny I had a few sleepless nights about it even after it stopped. My first ultrasound today looked great - a clear strong 135 bpm heartbeat. Mild nausea and feeling a lot of fatigue by afternoon/evening each day. Also flushed bright red yesterday evening for no apparent reason, not sure if that was a symptom though??
@kayjay44 My piriformis syndrome is bad right now, too! Don't think it's pregnancy related, rather I spent a lot of time in the car this weekend. I'm very worried about later in this pregnancy with PS.
@Ktrue85 - This is why I keep a bucket by the side of the bed. It took too many times with my first of not making it and puking and peeing in the hallway for us to get it together.
Also, I hate that when I puke I pee. Two kids have ruined my body.
@saraloveschunk - I do daily stretching since I can't take ibuprofen and it helps a lot. It's still tight today, but after massage and stretching yesterday, mine is a tad better.
Well the sciatica has hit full force. This seems crazy early compared to my last two pregnancies. Sciatica sucks, but I can deal with it. I'm really hoping to avoid the pregnancy carpal tunnel I had with my first. Ugh.
@ThePax89 - Lexapro works great for my general anxiety, but Prozac works way better for my pure OCD. The one thing I hate about the Prozac is that my weight has ballooned on it. I'm going to try going back on Lexapro and see how I do. Both are safe in pregnancy, as is Zoloft (which has never worked well for me, but does for others). The biggest concern is during third trimester and has to do with cardiac issues and crankiness, but the risk for the former is still very low and the latter didn't happen to me on Lexapro.
