My only symptoms have been feeling extra tired, but not being able to sleep, afternoon sickness (ugh), extra irritability, and some weird boob stuff. That’s how I knew I was pregnant actually - I was holding my cousins 2 month old and she cried and my boobs literally had that full let down feeling like when my son was a baby. I practically threw the baby at her mom and grabbed my boobs
@Evergreenmist - Sorry I missed your update before posting before - I have a few friends who have had SCHs and had successful pregnancies. I'm kind of surprised they don't want to see you to check up on it with an ultrasound, even if it's early.
@bourbonbiscuits - I forgot about the boob/nipple stuff - even showering hurts. And they're leaking a little and I haven't BF for a year.
@JenRN2009 Glad to hear your little one is safe and healthy. It's scary and honestly I'm still in disbelief that I haven't lost but only time will tell.
@runnermom9 SO far. Though kindly they moved it to next Wednesday so I only have a week. They also said no running until we can confirm a heartbeat and for once I'm like "yeah, I will do anything you say."
@Evergreenmist I am so happy to see this update. I've been thinking of you today and was waiting to see this. Glad you're still with us! Sorry this is so scary.
@kayjay44 the leaky nips are the weirdest. I stopped breastfeeding just about a year ago so it’s been ... a surprise? Lol I just don’t want the nips to leak during sex again. That was the worst
@Evergreenmist so happy to hear your update! I’ve known a couple people that had SCHs during pregnancy and while the bleeding was scary, they resolved on their own during the course of the pregnancy. Hope that is the case with yours too!
@Evergreenmist That is simply the best news, thank you for sharing xx
@grebretso Fortunately the spotting stopped for me today too. Will be just reaching 7 weeks by the scan. Fingers crossed we are both all done with the nervous TP checks!
@Evergreenmist so relieved to hear that! Keeping my fingers crossed that US will confirm that everything is ok.
This week I’ve been getting weird waves of nausea that are worse in the morning. Yesterday I threw up for the first time, but on an empty stomach.
First pregnancy the nausea and fatigue was intense and relentless, but didn’t start at all until week 7. I’m really hoping the MS stays this way the rest of the first tri and does get worse
These last two days it feels like all my symptoms have disappeared. I think my sense of smell is still heightened but the nausea, sore boobs, and cramping/pinching have all stopped. It feels like it was all in my head...
@sarahloveschunk I’m glad someone else experienced this. Well not glad because it sucks but just glad I’m not alone. I was worried I might somehow have infected boobs haha!
I spoke too soon for my own spotting. It started again last night and this morning. It’s still just a little brown stuff, but I’ve been spotting on and off with max a one day break in between now. I POAS again this morning out of panic though, and the line is way darker than it was last time. Is it normal to spot for this long? I’m mentally preparing myself for the worst here...

@grebretso - It totally can be - when you go in for your group appointment, insist on a dating/viability US (which they will do at 6-8 weeks) to give you answers and some peace of mind.
Thanks @kayjay44, I’ll definitely do that. It won’t be for another few weeks though, I’m still only on week 4, which is why I’m still freaking out about a possible CP. Part of me wish I would have held off on testing until at least next week! AF would have been due only yesterday.
Also, I guess my original post missed that it’s been seven days since it started. Ugh, stupid body.

@kayjay44 already did, they said no and to call back only if the spotting turned red, which if hasn’t. I might call again later today though, maybe nagging will work! I leave on vacation next Thursday, so I only have Monday and Wednesday next week to be able to have it done.

@grebretso Have you considered calling different OB practices and asking them for betas? I've had to do that kind of thing before for other medical situations, and I found it was worth it for the anxiety it saved me.
I called again and actually got an appt today! And then I’ll go to the hospital lab for the second draw on Saturday, since the OB office is closed on weekends. Honestly I think I just talked to a cranky nurse last time. I also think she brushed me off because I hadn’t even reached 4 weeks at the time yet. The nurse I talked to today was super helpful! Now we’ll just have to wait and see...

Awesome, @grebretso! I was just there earlier today for my first appointment!
@squirttheturtle - I swear the bloating gets worse every time. They weighed me today and I'm up 10 lbs pretty much just due to bloat - I know it will go away, but it's obnoxious and I just want to wear regular pants for awhile longer.
Currently not having any symptoms so I'm scared AF but I'm 4w1d and didn't start with my (really bad) nausea until week 7 with my first, so just trying to CTFD
ugh!!! @squirttheturtle I was just coming to post the same! And I’m squeezing into my regular jeans because I don’t want to risk someone seeing me in maternity pants at work and finding out... ) but I’m SO uncomfortable!
@notthecheat you’re still super early so try not to worry (I know it’s hard trust me!) I didn’t start getting symptoms until week 6. Everything I’ve read says early symptoms don’t usually start until week 6 or later. In the meantime try to enjoy not being sick!
I'm not having a lot of symptoms, which worries me but it is still WAY early for them. Right now it's fatigue, gas (lucky DH) and bloating. DH and I are supposed to be dieting together and he looks like he's losing weight and I look even chunkier hah. Edited: because it cut out half of my comment.
I was having cramping which was freaking me out but now they’ve mostly stopped and THAT is freaking me out, lol. The consistent symptoms I have are sore boobs, fatigue, and I cry very easily. A not fun at all symptom is my anxiety is absolutely out of control I was having hot flashes but those have let up. I had one wave of nausea in the evening but that was before I found out I was pregnant.

I also deal with anxiety (I have pure OCD). This will be my third baby (hopefully) and is my 5th pregnancy and I’m super fucking anxious - I’m sure my previous BMBs are getting sick of it.

Do you take anything for your anxiety?
I just started taking celexa 3 weeks ago. My anxiety hit hard right around when I got pregnant. I called my PMCP and she said it was fine to keep taking it but to talk with my OBGYN. Do you take anything? I’m really anxious about taking this medicine. If anything happens I will be devastated. How are you feeling so far? I started cutting out caffeine when my anxiety started. It’s made the transition into less caffeine smoother. I used to be coffee dependent, lol.

I take Prozac - I took lexapro with my second pregnancy with no issues. SSRIs are the most studied and considered the safest. The biggest concern doesn’t come until 3rd tri and for me the benefits outweigh the risks.
I do cut caffiene to 200 mg during first tri and then don’t monitor my intake - that way my kids are used to it when they are born and BFing.
Its hard to come to to terms with the lack of control - my OCD is triggered by lack of control. It’s really fucking hard, but hopefully, we will both have some more concrete proof and relief soon.
*Waves* Depression and anxiety lifer over here. I took Wellbutrin and Effexor straight through with my first pregnancy. Weaned off the effexor for this time around but not having Xanax is going to be killer for attacks. We can do this ❤️
Ugh my spotting turned almost red this morning. It was just a little bit, and it was more pink/light red than the dark red AF color, but it’s enough to not want to get my hopes up. I know CP’s are incredibly common (and I’ve already had one), why did I POAS so early? My wondfo this morning was almost as dark as the control line though, so who knows what’s going on.
I’m glad I decided to get my betas tested. Second blood draw is tomorrow, and then I’ll have to wait till tues or wed next week for the results. If it’s a CP I’m likely to have more red spotting before that though, so we’ll see.
Because I like to torture myself and grasp at straws: Has anyone here had a tiny bit of red spotting at week 4 and still have the pregnancy continue to term? I know whatever happens with me is already decided, and anecdotal evidence from others won’t chance anything, but it would be nice to know there might still be hope.

@grebretso - I haven't, but know plenty of people who have. SCH's (subchorionic hematomas) affect something like 25% of all successful pregnancies and are a super common cause of spotting. You won't really know if that's the cause until you have an U/S though.
Thanks @kayjay44. For some reason I thought SCH’s couldn’t happen as early as in week 4, but maybe you’re right.
I have no cramps, it was only a little bit first thing in the morning and then nothing since, so I feel a little more calm now. Even though I’ve been spotting on and off for 8 days, the uh, volume is way less than my CP in January. At that point it started out slow, got gradually heavier within a couple days and turned red with clots (and cramps) on day 5. I guess every CP is different too, but the fact that it doesn’t seem to get worse is a little reassuring.

@grebretso - I had one with my M/C (the SCH didn't cause the M/C, it was due to genetic abnormality) and my first U/S was at 5w1d, so it apparently can happen super early!
@kayjay44 that is early! Maybe that’s it for me too then. I’ll be on pins and needles this weekend for sure, good thing I have stuff to do to keep me busy!
