Anyone on progesterone during their loss?

I was taking 400 mg a day of prometrium up until Sunday night. When we found out the baby's heart had stopped beating yesterday, the doctor said that the progesterone might have been preventing the process from happening and that since I had started bleeding some, it was probably starting.

Since last night, I'm not bleeding at all. Did it take a while for the process to start after you stopped taking progesterone? How long did it take for things to start after you stopped?

I hate this. I hate just waiting for it to happen. I just want it to get started so it can get finished. I want it to be over.

So sorry to see you here, I remember you from the July board.  I cant help you with your question, but wanted to offer you my condolences.

I was on progesterone as well, 400mg per day. My baby passed around 11w2d and I took the progesterone up until 13w. The appointment we found out our baby was gone, I was 13w5d. I had to have a D&C though since my baby had been gone for so long I was at risk of infection if they didn't remove the tissue soon, so I wasn't able to m/c naturally. I had, had spotting throughout my pregnancy, and my hcG levels weren't doubling, which is why they put me on the progesterone. I'm sorry for your loss. (((hugs)))

I was on progesterone for my loss before my ectopic, I would say I started bleeding heavily 2-4 days after I stopped progesterone.
