Anyone getting a yeast infection? I had one when pregnant with me daughter in the first trimester but cant remember if it was this early. Luckily I see my dr in the morning so Ill talk to her about it.
  • Not more tired than usual - maybe it’s because I have a 10 month old and a 2 year old. And I’ve seemed to escape the metallic taste this time. But I’m crazy hungry and gassy. Also my face has decided to break out like a 14 year old boy going through puberty. Good times.

@Evergreenmist sending love and positive thoughts that you will get good news, hope you can get some rest while waiting for the results. Will be thinking of you.

@grebretso I have had some brown spotting for the last 2 days. I over-googled it yesterday and am just going to try and stay calm until my Monday ultrasound.

Fatigue is definitely kicking in this week too!

@rachstar18 me too with the break outs!!! It was actually my first symptom where I was convinced I was pregnant. I've had great skin my whole life (and I've always been neurotic about washing my face and spend tons of money on skincare) and the fact I was breaking out SO BAD was a clear sign somethin' was up! Mainly in my "horomone zone" - chin, jaw area.

Also, boobies hurt and cramping wakes me up every dang night. But it lasts just 5 minutes, i can time it. And it disappears until the next night. FTM here, so I know it's typical. Insomnia too. I'm not sleeping much over here. LOL

No MS, just food aversions. Like pizza. Sad days.

@febmum I’m sure it’s nothing! I’ve been googling like crazy too, and I found one study that found no increased risk with a little spotting at all. It only took into account pregnancies as of week 5 though, and I’m only week 4. Risk seems to decrease dramatically once week 5 starts, so I’m on pins and needles for another week. I assume you’re further along than me since you have a US scheduled already!

AFM, my spotting is almost gone now. Lasted on and off for four days, with one day of nothing going on in the middle. Yesterday there was hardly anything and today I only saw a trace of brown on the tp. The pattern has been that it’s mostly in the mornings, so since there was so little this morning I’m hoping that’s the end of it. Fingers crossed it won’t return!

@saraloveschunk I am having an aversion to pizza too! Totally sucks because it is my favorite food. When I was pregnant with DD I didn’t have nearly as many aversions as I do this pregnancy so far. That and MS are really limiting what I can eat.

OH man I hope I don’t getthat adversion. That would gut me.
  • This is going to sound dumb, but what is the actual experience of having an aversion?
I just can't imagine the feeling...

I haven’t had any this time (yes) but last time if I thought about certain foods my stomach would turn. Just a feeling that I’m going to puke.

For me, I just couldn’t stomach and even swallow some food during my first pregnancy. My first aversion was steak. My husband and I were out at a nice dinner and I couldn’t finish my steak and thought I was full. When I tried to eat the leftovers I got about two bites in before I realized I had no desire to eat it. I only wanted to eat fresh salads and fruit for about 6 weeks.
  • @becks_726 this is my first pregnancy so it's all new, but pizza sounds terrible and it's the weird squishy cheese texture that makes me :s

We had pizza at work one day and we were all sitting around eating it and I couldn't even finish a slice without feeling repulsed.

@Evergreenmist Oh my gosh I am so relieved for you! Thank goodness! Fingers crossed the US goes well, sounds like it will. I don’t have any experience with SH, but I know a lot of people have them and everything turns out fine.

  • Oh @Evergreenmist! A SCH isn’t fun, but I’m glad baby is okay!!! I had a close friend have one last pregnancy and she bled a lot but everything was fine. I believe she had quite a few u/s just to make sure things were fine.

When is your u/s? Not sure how far off you are from 7 weeks. I wish they could do something sooner for you to help ease your mind. Did you have any cramping?
  • @evergreenmist That sounds like great news! I'm so happy for you. I know how scary it can be after a long time waiting for this baby, and I completely understand your anxiety about the wait until the ultrasound. It sounds like that little appleseed is still with you though, snug in your belly. <3
  • @Evergreenmist PS my only knowledge of subchorionic hematoma comes from the Handmaid's Tale, which by the way I do not recommend at all if you don't want to feel massively depressed that show is DARK, but anyway the main character gets a subchorionic hematoma and it involves lots of blood but the baby is totally fine. The mother is stuck living in an apocolyptic dystopian hellscape, but medically she's fine. And the baby is all good.
  • @ginger1228 Thanks so much. U/s is scheduled for the 22nd. It would only be 7w and they basically said they didn't feel like they would be able to see anything else until then. I just sent them an email begging for another beta to at least ensure HCG is still rising. I had cramping but it's gone now. All of the fingers crossed.

@jessier19 Thanks. And obvs I love that show and was thinking obsessively last night about that scene and wondering if that was my issue! So dark but so good.

@Evergreenmist I had a SCH with my first and it definitely was scary, but she is a active happy 7 year old now.  The ultrasound showed the SCH and it improved as she grew.  I know its worrisome, but so far everything sounds right on track. (Edit for wrong tag)

Aversions can be even the thought of the food/drink/smell can make you want to puke.  I always always get an aversion to water of all things!  I cannot drink it plain, I have to flavor it or drink other things.  Its always when the MS is the worst, then after about 14 weeks, I can drink it again.  Its the craziest thing.  My doctor thought I was nuts, but I see moms on here with it as well so I'm not totally crazy.

  • Round ligament pain already, which is crazy.

Nausea, dizziness, cramping, insomnia, fatigue, lots of peeing, super smell, stuffy nose. This baby isn't joking around.
