Re: Weekday Randoms 6/11

  • I am legit falling asleep at my desk. I feel like I just got hit by a train! I don't know if it's the heat or what, but I need a nap NOW.

  • @kissableviv that’s the exact way I felt my whole car ride home from work today...just pure exhaustion and sleepiness...plus heartburn and nausea and baby pressure.

    Anyome else have little ones that are still rocked to sleep? I’m rocking my 20 month old right now and I’m really sad to say I think I’m gonna have to stop soon and have my H do it. The weight and pressure of him lying on me is becoming too much. Sooo uncomfortable and I just get frustrated at him to hurry up and fall asleep because I can’t stand the weight of him plus the baby pushing down on me.

  • @TalesOfASocialIntrovert good luck!!!!

    @wildtot good luck and be your L&D appointment too, I hope you get all your questions answered!
  • @foxbaby2016 ugh, well I am so glad that you have such a positive attitude about it! Way better to keep positive then to get upset over something you have no control over.
  • @lindsayleigh1989 I feel you. I've woken up in a panic several times. Baby #3 is a huge surprise, and I'll have both of my kids (who fight CONSTANTLY) home with me all summer. DH owns his own general contracting and landscaping business so he will not be taking any time off (he was never able to before, either) so it's me and 3 kids. I already have GAD, so that doesnt help. Also, any time I take off is unpaid, and DH doesnt get a regular paycheck, so that's also very scary. I think just recognizing how anxious you are and asking for help is HUGE. My insurance actually has me signed up for a therapist to call me weekly to check in- it's already started. They called today for the 2nd time. May be worth looking in to. Either way, we are here for you lady, and know you're not alone ♡

  • @TalesOfASocialIntrovert cannot wait for the update! Good luck and I hope you have a smooth delivery!

    Just watched the season finale of legion season 2 and I legit have no idea what's real. Crazy show!

    @WorkinWeezel That service through your insurance sounds Amazing! I'll have to check and see if my insurance does that.
  • @devilcat139 congratulations!
    @TalesOfASocialIntrovert good luck!!!

    I'm just lurking this week, my temp has taken over on the computer so I basically sit around all day and stare at her. But I'm getting paid so that's great! Still having contractions but dealing with them. Having DS birthday party at the house Saturday so hopefully baby stays put!! I'm just thankful it hasn't been super hot here yet, good old unpredictable New England weather!

    @TalesOfASocialIntrovert goor luck!

    @wildtot that sounds like such a great hospital to cater to your needs and requests and to make the event truly about you!

    @SmashJam hqve you looked into a financial service that consolidates and lowers interest on cc debt? Suzy Orman gave that advice once on a show i watched once.
  • @TalesOfASocialIntrovert congratulations!! Hope the little man is out of the NICU soon!

    It’s 240 and Hs dog won’t stop whining! She’s been whining since about midnight and H has gotten up at most 2 times. He says she’s playing us to just go outside and eat. Well i finally let her out again and she used the restroom. Let’s hope it’s the end of it. Closing the door does nothing, i could still hear her. He needs to get up to his fur child. I don’t car how many times it takes. I need sleep!!
  • @wildtot the dog situation is ridiculous over here too! I choose to get up at 5am (ish) so I always let them out. Today I was up talking to SIL at 2:30 so I am tired and I was like, ok, I'll wait til DH's 5:35 alarm and he'll get up. Nothing. So then I was like, well, maybe its a 5:45 alarm? So I waited. Nothing. So then I was like, ok, 6am. Then a dog barked, so I got up. One had pooped in his cage and thrown up outside it (smart dog), but not the same dog that has been throwing up all week, a different dog.

    DH took 1/2 of Monday, and all of Tuesday, Wed, and Thurs off work. All of those days he was up already, and today is the day he goes to work and he's still sleeping, lol.

    @TalesOfASocialIntrovert congrats! Hoping you LO is out of the NICU soon!
  • Congratulations @TalesOfASocialIntrovert !! Hope baby’s NICU stay is short!

    Congrats @TalesOfASocialIntrovert—hope the nicu stay is short and that you’re home with your little one soon!
  • So last night, I had this terrible and extremely realistic feeling dream where I discovered texts on my H’s work phone with some random woman, and then I confronted him and he admitted he met her on match.com. Then I decided to divorce him but didn’t want to bring the baby into all that so I also decided I’d give him up for adoption (as if I could somehow make that decision without H’s consent...and not that I actually would ever do that...). I woke up crying and so relieved to realize it wasn’t real, but then I laid awake for 2 hours feeling insecure and wanting to go snoop through H’s phone. It just felt sooo real. Then at 4, in the dead silence of night, I heard Elmo’s voice coming from my son’s room. Fuck, he went to bed with that stupid talking hug me Elmo in his crib! I had to go in and pry it out from under him, and somehow he didn’t wake up. Then I got back in bed and told my H about my dream and told him I needed to look at his phone (I was kind of half kidding) and he was silent, and I took his silence to mean he didn’t want me to look at his phone/had something to hide, so then I stayed awake another hour obsessing over it. Yup, wasn’t a very restful night!

  • omg @zande2016 those dreams are the worst! And I feel like in our stage of pregnancy I'm getting such crappy sleep that I'm often half in half out of a dream and wake up with a little confusion as to what was real and what wasn't, no matter how silly the dream!

    Hope your day gets better!
  • And846And846 member
    @TalesOfASocialIntrovert congrats!

    @zande2016 you are not alone with those kind of dreams! I have had similar dreams and they felt so real. I actually woke up mad at him and he was like WTF did i do?! Ha!
  • Congrats @TalesOfASocialIntrovert hope your little man doesn’t have to stay in the nicu long!

    @zande2016 ugh! I HATE those dreams. It seems like those are the only kind of dreams I remember. It’s so stressful.

    So I mentioned a while ago about having what I thought were blood sugar crashes. Well I’ve had them pretty much every day for like a week. I called into my OB to see what they thought because they knock me out and it’s really scary (scary enough that I talked with my 6 year old about what to do if something happened to me). The OB basically brushed me off and I was really frustrated. So I called my mom to complain and tell her how weird my symptoms are and she basically flipped out and we talked with my stepdad (who’s diabetic and knows all about blood sugar crashes) and they convinced me to call my stepmom who’s a nurse practitioner and tell her about my symptoms too. All 3 of them don’t think that it’s blood sugar related (based on how it’s happening- when it’s happenjng etc. we don’t know for sure because my OB doesn’t care and doesn’t want anything to do with talking to me about it) and think that maybe it’s blood pressure related. So I’m going to go buy a blood pressure cuff today and some urine protein test strips to get a handle on my own situation before my next appointment on Tuesday.
  • @hillbillywife What are your symptoms when these episodes occur?

    @TalesOfASocialIntrovert Congrats on your baby boy!!! :)
  • @TalesOfASocialIntrovert Congrats on your little one. Hope his Nicu stay is very short!

  • @TalesOfASocialIntrovert congrats!!! I hope your NICU time is short!!

    @zande2016 I hate those dreams! They seem so real I wake up mad at DH which puts him in a bad mood. My subconscious thinks he’s sleeping with one of his bartenders (also ex-gf but very happily married).
  • @foxbaby2016 they come on super fast but I get hot and sweaty and dizzy and lightheaded. Food doesn’t help as quickly as it should for blood sugar. After I come off of it a little bit I’m EXHAUSTED.
  • @hillbillywife that’s SO scary, I can’t believe your doctor is blowing you off. That must be tough to deal with with kids to care for too.. I hope you can get some answers and have a big I told you so to shove in her face  :|
  • @hillbillywife Is there another OB in the practice that you can see? That is really scary.
  • I was up all night with contractions on and off, and I’m having more this morning now that I’m moving around. This girl better stay put until Monday- Father’s Day is too busy! AND there’s a food truck festival in my town tonight... I plan on stuffing my face to capacity and letting DS run around like a wild animal at the nearby park.
  • @acunamatada it is pretty scary! I mean I’m a little bit of a hypochondriac so it’d be fine if nothing is wrong, but the unknown is what’s getting me. I’ll feel better when I can track some more things and be assertive at my next appointment (if this keeps happening-it probably won’t happen again because that’s what happens to me lol)
  • @hillbillywife definitely keep pushing until you get some answers, I can’t believe you’re just being brushed off like that. Does your office test your urine? Mine tests it every time I come in (twice a week) plus they always check my BP. I think It’s a good idea to test your BP as the episode Is happening.

    @hillbillywife sounds like it's possibly more blood pressure related? That typically happens to me, but I usually have a trigger like getting blood drawn or steroid injection. I've just been avoiding my triggers to manage it. That's scary that it doesn't seem like your ob is taking it seriously, is there another ob in the practice you can talk to?

    Had my appointment this morning. Apparently Mr Baby was not a fan of the doppler since he seemed to be running away from it, lol. Usually he's pretty sleepy at these things, but this time he was very active. The nurse got a kick out of it. Good news is at 34 weeks he is currently head down...now he needs to stay that way!
  • @TalesOfASocialIntrovert congratulations!!

    Isabella & Julian & and now #3!
  • @acunamatada you’re in ct right? Idk what town you’re in but I’m very thankful my H’s stupid food truck isn’t going to be at that festival, lol. Have fun!
  • @TalesOfASocialIntrovert congrats! Hope your little. Guy is out of NICU soon

    @zombiehoohaa, I tried the same thing with the hospital pad in my bed just in case last pregnancy.... It was SOOOOO hot I couldn't deal.  Just a heads up!

    I need to leave for work in 15 and I'm still in bed. Motivation has reached an all new low...
  • @zande2016 yup southern ct! The lineup is surprisingly low on Mexican lol.
  • @TalesOfASocialIntrovert congratulations!

    We're doing tax planning with our CPA this morning and, of course, I can't get Adobe to open a copy of my latest paystub.  So annoying.  I also woke up SUPER grouchy today which is made worse by the fact that DH is home (which means there's someone around for me to take out my grouchiness on).
  • @zande2016 yup southern ct! The lineup is surprisingly low on Mexican lol.
    Hah! Don’t tell my H. Actually I just found out he’s doing some elementary school event today, which is so stupid because the money will suck, but at least he’ll be home relatively early.
  • Congrats @TalesOfASocialIntrovert and good luck!!!!!!!
