@devilcat139 a huge congrats on the twins! Glad they are doing so well!
@emsnedds I'm certain I have over the past few weeks, I can feel it though I haven't weighed myself. I'm just out of space and have no appetite. The same thing happened during my previous pregnancy and I think it's fairly common in general. I think it's no biggie, baby will take what it needs.
Today is my last full day of work, tomorrow I leave at noon for my NST and that's it! I am so excited. No more commute, no more hours spent sitting at my desk, no more wearing pants! Plus, I really need to get stuff ready for this baby.
@emsnedds same I lost two and never put them back on until last week. Hope you get to relax a bit and that everything goes well for you until your DH is around at the end of the month. Congratulations @devilcat139!
Thank you ladies!!! That is reassuring! If it’s totally common to lose weight at this point then maybe I can stop being paranoid (lol yeah right). It does relieve some of my fears anyway. (:
I'm in a funk lately. I've been sleeping decently but still feeling exhausted. Not sure what the deal is. I'm headed for a wax on my lunch break today and I'm also not looking forward to that.
Thanks @MichelleAG05@nimmle it's one of the busiest/most stressful months at work right now so that doesn't help, but on top of all that I am having a hard time balancing our budget and making things work. I have no clue whatsoever how we will make it through maternity leave but I guess we will figure it out a week at a time. Sometimes I'm like, WTF have I done adding a second human person to feed and clothe and diaper. Going to have to seriously step up the job hunt in the Fall and figure something out.
On a positive note, just got a flower delivery at work from one of my clients. Her son has been with us for years and is graduating high school and moving on to college - which means they no longer need our services, so she wanted to send a "thank you". He has autism and we helped them get a $60,000 per year special ed school funded by the city throughout high school, and now I have all that feels that he is going on to a 4 year college. She also sent a photo card with photos of him from birth through prom/graduation, and it says I couldn't have done it without you, and my journey has just begun. I'm literally crying. When I have nasty clients yelling at me all day long, it is so nice to actually be appreciated and recognized and reminded of why I do what I do.
@MichelleAG05+1 for exhausted. So much sleep yet never feeling rested. My H slept in the other room last night with the two dogs. I got 9 hours of sleep, only woke up once to pee, and by time my alarm went off this morning I was more tired than when I went to bed
@runsomewhere Horray for your last full day!!! 7 more days for me. Can't wait!
On my birthday, I will be 38 weeks. I'm planning on going to this pizza place that has a "prego pizza" Legend has it if you eat it, you will go into labor shortly after. The pizza has just about every topping plus extra garlic and onions. Hoping it works!

@zande2016 love flower deliveries, I hope it brightens your day!
I am being treated to lunch and to dinner by 2 different girlfriends for a belated birthday. Busy day as I have my NST too. Gotta try to get some work done!
I almost forgot we have our private appointment tonight with a L&D nurse. Hope DS won’t go nuts but looking forward to talking about our delivery details and options in regards to the c section.
@devilcat139 congratulations on your girls! I’m so glad they’re doing well!
@smashjam I did a fine job on one of my twins hair when I did it a few weeks ago but the other one I totally screwed up his bangs and it looked like he had a bowl cut for soooo long. I kept putting coconut oil in it to push it off to the side so it wasn’t as obvious lol. I know there’s no way he’d have let a stranger near him with scissors so we just lived with it.
ETA: I think I have a stress fracture in my foot so that’s fun
@zande2016 I hear ya on the finances. In my situation, I'm hoping one of two part time jobs I applied for pans out, (or maybe both, lol) and I can start putting a dent in our cc debt, but in the absence of those things I have the "what the eff were we thinking bringing on another kid" situation in my head. All I can tell myself is that we are doing the best we can and if there is nothing more I can do I just need to take a deep breath and keep pluggin' along.
Also, awesome about the client sending flowers. What a great story!
I went to the social worker today at the hospital. Talking to someone about how frustrating life is is helpful, but I'm just not sure about therapy. DS was there and he was a mess, so maybe I just wasn't fully focused. I'll try it one more time without him and see if it works for me and then maybe try a different practice. I'm hoping I can hang in there until September when DS has preschool, I can make all the appts for his preschool time and take LO with me while DS preschools it.
Awkward day at work today...my office is having a baby shower for the girl who is due at the end of July...meanwhile I'm pretty sure they "forgot" that I'm due at the beginning of July. I'm totally fine with it...the person in charge of these things isn't a nice person and she does things like this to stir the pot in the office and upset people. The last thing I want to do is give her what she wants and let it affect me negatively. Also, the girl that is due at the end of July is so so sweet and totally deserves a nice shower....it's just going to be a little weird I think.
@SmashJam that’s what I’m planning on doing with therapy too. I’ve been lucky enough to not have to take DD except once but it’s stressful enough for me to find childcare that I don’t want to go lol. Good luck!
@foxbaby2016 ooh that is awkward. Good for you for being a good sport though!
@foxbaby2016 That is awkward! Is this your second? Maybe they are not doing one for you because you have things already. OR maybe it is for you too and it is a surprise! Well you will be there with your baby bump and it will be obvious what that person is doing if she is stirring the pot, so she should feel more awkward!
@foxbaby2016 a bit awkward, I agree, especially As you'll be there with your bump talking about your imminent due date, but who cares! I really can't stand people who love stirring the pot. Find something better to do, lady!
"happy pushing!" @TalesOfASocialIntrovert (sorry I forgot who someone said this to...it's too great)

Well the baby shower was as awkward as one would expect ladies. At least I got some cake. I'm perfectly content with cake
@chaser61 - It is both of our second babies, lol. I don't even know what to think. @catftm2018 - Nope, it was only for her. I'm okay with it though, really. It was a little weird at first but give me a sweet tea and a piece of cake and I'm a happy girl. I'm not letting that rude, mean lady get the best of me!
Totally random, however as I was cleaning (or attempting to) my bedroom, I found a mattress protector that's is used in hospitals. You know the blue ones that are semi thick and absorbent...yeah...I may just be putting this under my fitted sheet in case my water breaks in bed. No shame here...
Trying to get back into a routine since we backed out of moving (check out wtf thread for more info). I put the stroller together yesterday. Its bigger than I expected...actually I'm not quite sure what I expected. Today I've been folding the laundry that has been sitting in our baskets for the past week and putting clothes away. I'm also starting to unpack Amelie's clothes and put them in drawers. Feeling the nesting bug coming on. Cant wait to put the bassinet up. Slowly getting my hospital bag ready now. At my appointment yesterday, Amelie was measuring in the 48% group. OB said this is average and good. I'll be starting nst testing next week, twice a week, until baby comes. I'll be on leave starting July 1st and cannot wait! Hopefully I will be more active here since the house drama is slowly passing. We still need to grab items that we are not willing to leave there dishwasher, ceiling fan, curtain rods, ac unit, yard tools). Dh is going over there tomorrow to grab it all since I'm not able to do any physical lifting.

Wellp. Just finished having a full on panic attack at my desk at work over finances. So that was fun.
Oh no @zande2016! Feel better soon!

@MichelleAG05 Now that is something to look forward to at lunch. It might wake you up!
