Tonight's "google search" was the difference between PIO and vaginal progesterone. I've taken both and thought one's was messy and one just wasn't as fun hence the needle. Some doctor's said they preferred PIO because it keeps the uterus calm and quiet. That vaginal can cause cramping. So for those who are upset not "feeling anything" and are on PIO...this could be your answer! My one gf on vaginal progesterone swears so cramped for a whole week post FET, so had me paranoid but makes more sense now.

AFM - sorry for the quiet, was silently lurking over the past week because I'm impatient. Looking forward to next monitoring on Saturday, which will be day 14. Doc started me on low dose Synthroid today because, while my TSH really varies, we decided we'd rather be safe than sorry. Delayed starting in March because I wanted meet with an endocrinologist to confirm my numbers and do an ultrasound, and we didn't do anything since everything looked normal. Now, though, my number is back to being higher. Apparently any level hypothyroidism can really affect success of pregnancy, and the med has so few side effects, so I'm REALLY happy with the decision to go on it. Just sooooo ready to get going.

I’m glad you posted this... I had SO much cramping on endometrin, and I’ll be on PIO this time!
@dragonette505 Back in January at the fertility clinic it was 4.63. When I had bloodwork at endocrinologist's office it was 3.23. Doc called today and just said it was higher earlier this month than it was in January, so put me on the Synthroid. I'm thinking maybe it's because FC draws at 7 AM, and endo was in afternoon? Who knows really, but either way this small dose I'll be on will ensure I'm in the safe range (apparently 0.40 to 4.5).

Yeah.... above 4 is a bit high... I’m still dealing with this myself. My re tried to medicate me at 3 but I always react badly to thyroid hormone replacement. But I seem to hover between 2.5 and 3 so I’m going unmedicated for now. Will you be in synthroid?
@dragonette505 ugh, really? However it does help to know that. I'll be on levothyroxine to be exact. I'm also on acyclovir (for past med issues), and both FC and high risk OB is fine with both. FX (big sigh)

@alcnyc I am on levothyroxine and I love it. I feel like I have more energy when I take it. I went off it for a while when I was in between cycles and I definitely felt more sluggish.
AFM... waiting to hear back about my hormone levels, but so far my doc says everything looks good. She wants to do my transfer on Friday (4/20) because she will be out on Thursday when she would've preferred. My lining is about 8.7-8.8 trilaminar , ovaries quiet and no other issues. It kind of sucks just waiting because of her schedule (tbh) but on the other hand, doing it on Friday means 3 full days of just chilling at home so that is actually nice.
So this morning I called my nurse to call in day 1 and she is out of the office ... on her voicemail is a back up nurse to call so I called, YOU GUYS I can't remember if i told her my name because I was so excited!!! I'm going to wait till about 2ish and if I don't hear anything by then I'll call back ... i feel like such an idiot!
Okay my ass is finally back from Jersey so I can catch up! My disgusting Aunts decided in the limo on the way to bury my grandmother was the time to ask about the will. Mind you grandpa is still alive. i couldn't wait to get the hell away from those people.
So I just did my first PIO shot in the butt alone - I fd it up. I being a pita that I am thought I could use a small needle - NOTHING CAME Out. So switched to the big one and then lost have of it down my butt. I couldn't get in the right position to shoot myself in the butt and now it keeps dripping blood with oil all over. WTF. So emailed my nurse asking now what? Give myself more or just wait till this evening and next just do in my thigh?

@mcgeeva UGH i'm sorry about the family BS!! As for your PIO i'm sure they'll just make you take another one today at some point. Is there anyone around who might be able to help? Did you check out the YouTube videos for self administering PIOs? AND worse case scenario I would go to the REs office and have the nurse help me out and maybe give you some pointers on doing it yourself.
@mcgeeva oh man that sucks! You are brave though. I definitely couldn’t do it myself. I made my husband come home for lunch early last week to give me the one that specifically had to be done at noon. Lucky I was on spring break. I don’t know what I would have done if it was a work day for me!
@mcgeeva Call your nurse and see if you can go in today. They can draw circles for the shots need to go in at, so you don't have that issue! Makes you feel better, I've made myself bleed 3 times this week (including this morning). I was trying to move my injection site around and well that never worked! lol Usually, I slowing inject the needle and if it only seems to want to go 1/2 way...I'll re-inject another place and it's fine.

@mcgeeva Good Luck with the PIO. I have always used the vaginal.
@dragonette505 How is everything going?
I had a scan yesterday. Lining is at 11 mm. I am to stay on delestrogen injections for Friday and tuesdays. I take my last Lupron on Sunday and start prometrium vaginally three times a day. The progesterone is definitely gross. But transfer will be 4/20.
