GAP has some random stuff, but I love it. DS has a shirt with a T-Rex on a skateboard and another one with a Triceratops riding in a double decker bus in London.
UPDATE 2: DH rambled at me about black history month, told me that the ice cream scoop was invented by a black man, and sanitary pads by a black woman, started trailing off and then passed out again. At least I don't have to worry about him getting into more pills and I was able to take a shower.

DS calls me momma, not mommy. I don’t think I’d mind it, but I prefer the momma. It absolutely melts my heart! A few times recently he has just said ‘mom’ and I’m like Nope! You are not old enough to just call me mom, I am momma damnit!
Today was an absolute shit storm at work. Our systems have been running slow and screwing up all week, which has made prepping for month end interesting. Today is always my busiest day, but then it was like add in everything that could happen on top of that and it was my day today. Days like today I realllllly miss my red wine!
So to complete my absolute shit-show of a day this turned out to be, while I was looking for one particular spice jar everywhere, I eventually got in the upper cabinet where I keep my baking spices and supplies. It shouldn't be in there, but as I'd looked everywhere else, it was my last stop. As I'm rummaging around a precarious box of cocoa powder comes tumbling out from the top shelf, hits the corner of the counter, twists, pops it's lid off, bounces back up and twirls, and proceeds to powder me and the floor in a puff of cocoa powder. I literally just sat on the floor in a near meltdown just as my husband walks in from work. He doesn't say a word, just calmly gets the vacuum and proceeds to vacuum the floor AND me, finishing with sucking my hair up in it, to make me giggle. Sigh.
So. This is the community page. People talk about school closings and other general community topics. This gal is posting updates of her cervix. And everyone is kind of ummmmm. Like, the mayor announces stuff on this page. Really the wrong audience. Hahaha.
Well I brought in my trade in to buy buy baby and left with a stroller and car seat purchased. I guess check that off the list
fyi the buy buy baby prices online were way less than in the store. They honored the online prices but if you’re instore double check because they weren’t marked on sale in either place.
For my stroller im talking like $60 difference in store than online (joovy too caboose ultralight)

Holy crap the hits just keep on coming. I had to turn a customer away today because she came in so intoxicated she fell out of her Uber and busted her head open so I had to call the paramedics. I love Gap and Old Navy kid and baby clothes, but I hate that boys and girls clothes are designed differently (by everyone). Like, a pair of pants for a one year old should be a pair of pants. Doesn’t anyone want to use clothing for more than one kid? Besides, “girl pants” would fit DS’s small frame so much better. So annoying.

I started my Friday falling down the stairs. I was carrying DS2, my water bottle and a dirty diaper down the dark stairway (always smart) and I thought I was at the end of the stairs. I had at least one, maybe two left. I held DS tight, but my foot rolled so all my weight was on the top part of my foot, then I fell on my butt. I cried, he cried. DH somehow couldn’t hear me, so I had to call him. My foot is sore, but definitely doesn’t feel broken or hurt badly. I guess I’ll call my OB when they open just to be safe, but all of the impact went to my foot, then secondarily to my butt. I feel like it’s fine.
so we have crazy winds today so my work delayed opening until Noon. What’s even the point? Hhaha I may just telework since I already feel bleh from a cold.
@F47 that's so scary! I hope your foot feels better quickly. I slipped down the stairs a month after my BFP because I was watching it snow while walking down the stairs. Luckily like you it was just a couple steps and I slid and hit the next step on my butt which has more than enough cushioning.

I got got the day off today because of the high winds. Totally surprised me, but ill take a free day off!
@F47 Oh no! I hope your foot feels better soon! That is a terrible way to start a morning.
Behind our backyard is a large area of woods. Last night we had super high winds that took down 2 large trees knocking down part of our fence and covering pretty much the whole grass area of our yard in tree and branches. Luckily it missed my car by about 4 feet and somehow missed DHs new shed. I am so thankful it didn't cause major damage to anything. DH had an estimate last summer to see how much taking those trees out would cost and it was at least $800. So I guess Thank You Mother Nature for saving us some money! Plus I think DH is super excited that he now has to buy a chain saw!
Ya'll. I called Verizon and they received my phone!!!!!!! So I'm SUPER relieved but also really pissed because they were going to charge me $500!!!! She was able to find the tracking number and it was received, so, wtf. Why would I be charged? I've had these things happen in the past with Verizon before. I've been with them forever and the only reason I stay is bc I have an old plan that has unlimited data with no contract. I had my plan when email on phone was barely operable and have kept it. Otherwise I would have left them so long ago.
I'm glad you only fell down a few stairs @F47 , but sorry you feel down! Glad you didn't drop your son!
For anyone interested in trying cloth diapers, Blueberryandme dot com is having one of their grab bag sales right now. It's a great way to try a new premium diaper at a used price. I use the all in one simplexes. You choose one print and get two surprise prints. The surprise prints can be any of their prints, not just the prints listed for you to select from. They are deemed "irregular" but never have I seen anyone get one that has a noticeable cosmetic defect. Their production standards are so high it's near impossible to find a print flaw but they find them and then set them aside for sales! If anyone is looking for mattress pads theirs are fantastic and on sale. They can be used as a changing pad, to sit on post partum if you're afraid of staining anything, at the pool, etc.

It was just so picture perfect, like a movie in slow motion seeing it tumble, the lid come off, and then *poof* all over me and the floor and a haze in the air. Didn't want that nasty Hershey's cocoa powder anyway. :P
@F47 that is rough! I slipped down a few stairs carrying a laundry basket a few weeks ago and it scared me so badly! Hope you are able to rest at least a little today.
So I came into the office earlier than I had to so I would be more productive. Still spent way too much time bumping and on FB. I need to sort out this motivation situation stat.
