@alinafed what colors are you thinking? I'm weird, I just like my walls to be all one, neutral color. DH and I are still debating painting the baby's room.
We found out the baby's sex at around 8:30 this morning. By 9:30 my mom had already bought him $200 worth of clothes and my dad got him two baby hockey jerseys for when they watch NHL games together. My parents are ridiculous.
Congratulations on a boy!! Are you guys super excited? I have been waiting with baited breath to find out what you are having
@alinafed paint makes such a huge difference. We built our house 2 years ago, so all the walls were white. Every time we paint a room it feels more and more personal and like home.
@jsnakehole my mom can't wait for us to find out the sex so she can go shopping. I'm sure she's going to spend a ridiculous amount too.
DH had an interview yesterday for a position he was kind of iffy on applying, but it went really well and after learning more about it he was really excited. This morning he ended up having a second interview for the position and they want him to create a pfor a third interview. I have everything crossed it goes well, because where he's working now is awful. He's unhappy every day, and that's no way to live.
We're super excited. And, as silly as it sounds, with everything going on in the world I'm excited to raise a boy (and eventually a man) who will know how to show respect for women, and will be the guy to tell his friends when how they're acting isn't right. And I get to dress him up as baby Burt Macklin for Halloween.

ETA - when did you do the blood draw for the Panorama? Patience is not a virtue of mine... the waiting for these results is like the TWW all over again!
@JanetSnakehole Congrats on the boy! I could see my MIL going crazy if she knew what we were having.
mrsbubbles-2 There is one person who runs the whole office. She has a tendency to ignore things depending on who complains about them. She plays favorites big time. She is most likely not going to do anything about it. There are only 4 of us who have been here for over 3 years and anyone who has been hired after that apparently has a whole different set of rules. It frustrating but other than that I like my job.
@lolog531 I believe @jsnakehole had her draw on 2/12, because I noted it in my head since I had mine on 2/13! I'm really hoping this means I have my results tomorrow, I'm seeing my family this weekend so I'd like to tell them the news. The ultrasound tech told us she was 90% sure it is a boy, but I'm really more interested in the genetic testing results because I'm an old lady.
@lolog531 my blood was drawn on the 12th. My results were in my patient portal first thing this morning (literally the first thing I checked when I woke up).

@jsnakehole had they updated your "results pending review" leading up to them posting the report this morning? The date on there for me hasn't changed from 2/26 since I took the test, but in my prior panorama test, my "results pending review" were dated one day and the results were available the next day. I don't know if it still follows that structure though.
@jsnakehole ugh guess I'm still waiting a few days then. I am flying up to NJ for a funeral this weekend so I'm going to see my parents and sister and I really wanted to wait until I was sure I had low risk results to tell them. But since I don't see them in person often, especially my dad, I guess I'll tell them anyway. My NT scan was clean at least.
@lolog531 my blood was drawn on the 12th. My results were in my patient portal first thing this morning (literally the first thing I checked when I woke up).
Thanks! I got my drawn on the 15th, so I probably have a few more days! I’m sure the weekend isn’t going to help, so I’m guessing it’ll be Monday or Tuesday.
My older sister had a beautiful baby girl this morning! I'm so excited to be an aunt again and even more excited to have cousins so close in age. She is my only family member in town and my only sister, so we are pretty close. I know this is an AW post, but I'm just so happy and hope that other moms to be might understand that. *emoji with heart eyes*
@jsnakehole yay, congrats! That sounds like my MIL. But, I'd rather have clothes than toys for sure. @calimom2524 I'm not finding out until Easter, lol. I seriously envy everyone who already knows! @doctormom33 congrats Aunt!
GUYS. I ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE EMERGENCY BUTTON ON OUR RADIO. I have never done that. Dispatch called me to make sure I wasn't dead. I want to crawl under a rock. I texted my boss and was like "Don't worry if you missed a call from dispatch, I already took care of it."
We're in the middle of crazy, crazy weather (tornadoes, ice, flooding, hail, you name it) and they probably through the work truck got swept away.
@firemanswife11 Oh No! I accidentally pressed the panic button under my desk twice. It sucked! My boss had to hurry and call the company before they sent ER services.
@derbysquirrel lmao I just snort laughed. I wonder if that was made in another country and badly translated into English! That's definitely going in the throw-away pile!
I have no additional context. I was confused when I pulled it out of the box and spent a few seconds trying to figure it out. I couldn't. No idea why my cousin had this to give to me. They are generally pretty progressive!
