  • @doxiemoxie212 OMG! I don't even know that many companies let alone like them. Her news feed must be just a fluster cluck.

  • @krashke RIGHT?! Insane. Absolutely insane. And it's the most random shit on the planet. Like every clothing/makeup brand, but then also like random local govt depts all over the country in places I know she's never lived. It's madness.

@doxiemoxie212 OMG! WHAT????? What does her newsfeed even look like?

ETA - is she like a bot getting paid to like pages??? That is THE ONLY reason this makes sense.

  • @LaceyBee522 I have no effing idea. She's an ex-coworker, and she did always seem a little off, but I mean... 9,650 is nuts.
  • @krashke @LaceyBee522 I just did the math, and Facebook has only existed for like 5,000 days. THAT'S MORE PAGE LIKES THAN NUMBER OF DAYS!
  • @doxiemoxie212 she would have to like 1.93 pages per day.

  • omg who has time to like that much crap, that you can't possibly be interested in, or sift through all of the garbage you get from liking it...does she use the page for anything personal???
  • I just looked at my own FB and I like 99 pages and now I am a little ashamed of my guess of 57 and I think I need to do a clean out.

  • @kmurdock925 from what I can tell, she sees facebook as a place to complain 3x/day about her commute, housing prices in the tristate area, and her hobby of horseback riding. So, I think her page is entirely personal.
  • @krashke yeah I'm at 157, and I need to clean shop.
  • Is it bad that I don't even know how to find how many pages I've liked?  It might be easier to find on mobile, but on my computer I just see a listing with no count.  I think I'm doing it wrong.

  • @mytinc I'm on desktop... um just go to your profile, then about, then scroll down and it should give you a total likes section below like movies/or other weird stuff?
  • @mytinc I couldn’t find it on the iPhone app. I’m curious to know how many I have now!

9,000+ is insane. Her feed must be a clusterf*ck of ads.

  • doxiemoxie212  - that sounds like an immediate hide/dislike.
  • @kmurdock925 I always like to have one crazy "friend" on facebook going at a time so that I can find some entertainment, but I think the brand posts are leading me to believe I need to find a new go-to.
  • @doxiemoxie212, For some reason I only see the following categories: Friends, Photos, Videos, Check Ins, and Book Reviews.  Nothing about Pages.  I also looked from my home page in the left hand column and clicked on Pages there (under Explore) and just see this:

Below that it just starts listing the pages, but there's no count.

  • @doxiemoxie212- haha, love it.  Good source of entertainment.  Maybe just hide her so she can be your back up plan if you can't find an alternative crazy.
  • @mytinc that looks like a significantly old version of facebook..... are you on a weird browser or something?
  • @doxiemoxie212 - Nope.  I'm on Chrome.

  • Ok - I'm a dork and finally found it.  I had to lick on "Review Liked Pages" which gave me a count of 192.  Some of them I don't recall ever liking... I probably thought I was liking a friend's post which was actually linked from that site.  Time for spring cleaning.

  • I've unfollowed a few pages/groups because I was tired of scrolling through to see interesting things (about people I actually know). I can't see how she can even catch up on her newsfeed...super weird!
  • @doxiemoxie212 - I’m glad you guys were able to come to a decision about moving. It seems like you both know it was the right decision. Hopefully YH can get into therapy in the mean time. And that break from work should be super helpful.

  • @aharv77 You are quite welcome!

I try to remind myself that there will come a time when I miss this age. Light at the end of the threenager tunnel.
  • @kfren you sound so much nicer than I am. If my kids get up in the night with a sore throat I just tell them to go back to bed. Wake up puking? Go back to bed with a bucket lol.
  • @May14th2011 Believe me, I wish it were that easy.

I have tried many different approaches when it comes to dealing with her getting up and staying up for inappropriate reasons. The problem is that our tiny house is 2-bedroom. She sleeps with DH in our room and I sleep on a full-size (with DS in his crib) in their room. We had been working on transitioning her into the full-size, but between DS's  teething and our rotating illnesses here lately, our plans have been thwarted.
I just did not have the energy to make her go back to bed. If I had sent her to DH, he would have pitched a huge fit. If she came with me, she would have kept both myself and DS awake. It's a lose-lose.

I had the 4mom breeze play yard on our Amazon registry for months and it was on sale for $189. Amazing deal when it retails at Target for $299. My shower invites went out this week and I made our registry public and today it went up to $250! Com'on Amazon! You're killing me smalls!

ETA: also Amazon registry related, has anyone played with changing their due date to get their completion discount early? The Uppababy Vista is on sale on Amazon right now for $704. I'm wondering if I can change my due date to April and get the completion discount now and get it for $598 and then change my due date back. You can use the discount on two orders of up to $2,000 each so if this counts as one I could still use it on another order after the shower. But I don't want it to eff everything up.

ETA pt. 2: so I just read the FAQ's and it says "changes to your expected arrival date after your discount window begins will not change the start and end date of your completion discount."

  • @krashke No!!!!! I take it very personally when Amazon does that. No bueno  :(
  • @krashke Idk if you care but the 2018's literally just came out and it's the 2017 model that's on sale!  Still is a really great deal though.  Sucks about the discount - I guess they know how people will try and work the system  ;)
  • @kfren :D thank you for that. ps I love Tanisha

  • @krashke make a new registry just for the vista?
  • @becca_123 personally I don't care for the 2018 version. We want the Jake color and the only difference in 2017 vs 2018 for that one is the leather handle and other minimal changes and they increased the price by like $50. I would rather save the $300+ if I can.

  • @MissKittyDanger Yes, one of the joys of parenting! Luna Girl is from the show PJ Masks on Disney Junior. The luna moths are her sidekicks.

@catlady1215 Hehe. Tanisha is the reason I watched that show.
  • @MissKittyDanger - Characters from the show PJ Masks.  You'll know all the shows soon enough.

    *TW loss of pet mentioned*

This is infuriating. It's scary that you could kill your dog by simply feeding it dog food. It's even scarier to think that you could be feeding your pet other dead pets.
