Wow I didn't realize how inactive some of the ticker days are! It seems like Tuesday only has very few people and both Wed and Thur are nonexistent? If that is the case, I'm all for just nominating 3-4 people that are well known active members to put the list together but whatever the groups majority thinks is best!
I agree with this 100%!! I was all for a nominee on a ticker change but had no idea some days were not as active. Plus I do think that just because you post in a daily ticker change doesn't mean you get an add. You can post but if you don't actually contribute or at least talk to the other ladies it doesn't do anything. But this is coming from someone who isn't the most active but isn't the least active, somewhere in limbo. I think a move over to FB is more personal. So I think cuts need to be strict. No one needs a weirdo/random in the group. Or someone that just stirs up things. There is just more personal information on FB. If you don't make the cut then it wasn't felt like you were sincere enough in the group and I get it. Hell, I don't even know if I'll make the cut but I won't get mad over it.
I agree w the 4 ladies suggested @kmalls@Dumbgurl04@lindsye & @ngolimento. The 4 of you have not only been very active/supportive but have also shown how to have adult conversations where you don't agree w others but are still respectful. That's important.

I love these nominations and @JJMNO1616 for having the cojones to make them. I feel the 5 of you really foster a spirit of acceptance, curiosity and good old fashioned sass where necessary.
I also agree with migrating in the near future, facebook is way less glitchy than the bump app in my experience. I trust the admins to make good decisions about who to let in. I hope that if people want to be in the facebook group, they want to be in it to participate. I understand that reading posts is still helpful, but for someone like me, I like to "know" the people in my birth month facebook group. I'm still active in my September 15 facebook group, and we've been through a lot together. It would be really great to have the same sense of community with you ladies!
Just catching up on this as I don't go on TB much on the weekends. I agree with the four nominations as these ladies seem to be the most active on the board. Assuming I would make the cut, I would be really happy for the migration to happen now/soon. It's too hard to jump on this app and contribute quickly and easily.

since Facebook opens up way more access to people’s personal information, I view it as mostly a safety thing. The group members may be sharing info there that they wouldn’t want people they have no familiarity with to know, especially when it’s no longer anonymous like TB. So anyone who hasn’t contributed constructively/given support, etc in this community probably wouldn’t be added to the FB group. Stranger danger and preventing randos from solely AWing or just asking for advice and not contributing anything from being in a group where we can all access each other’s personal information.

This 100%. You need to feel a certain amount of comfort and familiarity with a person to genuinely share the postpartum experience with them; I feel like the FB group will be a much better resource for people if they feel like they can lay it all out there if they need to. Because those first two months especially can get really rough.

well that's too bad. I am still pretty active in my facebook group (from an original bump group) from my first daughter and I am sure I would be for this as well, but just can't quite get my head around navigating the bump website. So probably would never be accepted! oh well! have fun you guys.
also, while I know Facebook has most people's real names, unless your profile is super public, then that's the only extra piece of information people have about you unless you friend them. I have a strict "must have met you in person" facebook friend policy.

Like the idea of having more then one or two admins and the gals that have been brought up I agree have put the time/effort in and shown to be active supportive ladies. *two thumbs up*. Also nixing the advertising. It's a mom support group, not another marketing platform. I know all who make it in will profit from the knowledge and friendships made (even if I don't I'm happy for all of you who do ).

Also, just to reiterate: the admins will select the initial group that we consider to be active regulars, but once the FB group exists the entire group will decide (by vote) whether anyone else should be added/were missed, so who’s in the group will ultimately be the entire group’s decision.

Totally agree with the nominations. I am not on here a lot but knew those 4 would be great picks. I'd like to be part of the FB group because I am way more active there than here but I also understand people wanting to be comfortable so its all good with whatever also great idea on no advertising or picking a day to advertise. If I get invited to one morr pampered chef, rodan and fields, essential oils, pruvit, lularoe, beachbody, pure romance party I may destroy my phone forever lol. All of the suggestions sound pretty good thus far. This is my first pregnancy so the bump boards, Facebook migration, and everything else is new to me. So I will just go with the flow.

Yes. This is what I was thinking of. And I mean, of course you could photoshop or fake a bump if you were really motivated, but that takes more effort and isn't as easy to do, believably, unless you have really good editing software, which not everyone does. Plus, just having someone answer a question like, "what is your bump screen name?" without providing the answer in a pregnant selfie, for example, doesn't really aid in ascertaining that someone is in fact a pregnant female and hasn't been catfishing or posting bump pics to HDBD that aren't their own. Maybe I've just seen way too many catfisher situations on TB, and so my radar for that kind of thing is way up.
Oh man, I hope we don't go the pregnant selfie route. I don't have a very pregnant looking body shape. I'm tall and overweight. If I don't tell people they have no idea I'm pregnant right now.
First time checking in since Friday, so much to catch up on! I would just like to give my support to the decisions on admins and also to say that the "group vote" for adding new members seems very fair and reasonable. Looking forward to making the jump to FB

I like the admin selections and the general requests that the group be free from spam and requests for financial support (/side eye...) and general mean-girl shenaggery. I agree that its possible to have a space where we might not all agree on everything parenting related, no group of mean girls can be bitchy and throw their opinions around like they are law.
...Unless we're talking discussions of racism, sexism, homophobism, etc. I don't believe in disagreements on these subjects. You're either a kind, caring human being comfortable with letting others live their lives on a equal footing as everyone else, or you're not. My last BMB had its share of the mean girl shit, we dumped them. Then the racism reared its ugly head. Those people got dumped too. Our BMB is now harmonious and wonderful... despite the fact that we still have disagreements. I'm hoping we have the same zero tolerance policy in this facebook group.
