@bethann1022 Sorry about the beta. I am glad you are staying positive and thinking about what the next plan is. I can understand wanting to do 2 at time for better odds at finding that embryo that is going to stick. Best of luck in 2018. @BusinessWife Excellent news! Hope to see you around on other boards.
@bethann1022 I am so sorry to hear about your beta but 2018 is a new year! Let’s keep working hard to get our babies!
@BusinessWife Congratulations it’s so nice to see some positives on this board!
A FM I will be getting my endometrial biopsy and the sonohysterogram on Thursday. I’m very nervous but I’m hoping it can give us some answers. My next FET we’ll be using baby aspirin and steroids along with the estrogen patches . Before I was using the vaginal suppositories for progesterone but I think I’m going to ask for PIO , With my research it shows that it’s better when doing a FET.
I have a question for all of you, do we have a say in how many embryos are transferred? My clinic says under 35 they prefer to only transfer one but I have nine embryos still on ice I think I prefer to put in two . Do I have a saying that or no is it my RE who decides?
Also happy new year girls! I hope its our year !!!!
@msd1001 when I did my first transfer I was 33. My doctor did give me a choice if I wanted 1 or 2. I asked him what his recommendation was and he strongly suggested only doing 1.
I think it also depends on why you are under treatment. I did not have as many issues getting pregnant as I did actually staying pregnant.
@BusinessWife Congrats!!!! YEY! First good news of 2018!

Hi ladies! Just checking in to say hi and wish everyone a happy new year! @BusinessWife - so thrilled for your news. Keep giving the rest of us hope for 2018.
The holidays were better than expected for us. My parents came into town the day after our BFN and I was really anxious about how it would be, but it was really nice. We went to the movies and saw a show and ate lots of sweets and laughed a lot. It was a nice way to end the year, and I'm optimistic about our path forward. We tentatively discussed continuing with our therapist and moving forward with IVF round 4 (using DS) in March.
I'm thinking of all of you and sending good wishes your way!

Ultra-sound today at 7 weeks and no yolk sac, only gestational sac, no heartbeat, so it's looking like a MC. We did pgs but I guess it's not foolproof. I'm going back Monday but I think it's just a formality. DH is holding out hope but I was reading the doctors loud and clear. Totally heartbroken:'(
I am so sorry, @suziev3. It seems that so many of us got bad news for the last few cycles, even if we did the PGS testing.

@DecemberDoll27 My beta is Monday so I am eagerly waiting. I've had some promising symptoms so I'm feeling pretty hopeful for beta. How are you doing? Are you doing anything like a scratch or era before your next transfer?
@alohakumu That's so frustrating. I would want a calendar asap, too.
@suziev3- I am just so sorry. No words for that kind of news. My heart is with you and praying you will have your THB soon!
@alohakumu- hope you get your calendar ASAP. It shouldn't be that hard! Stay on top of them.. I get mine the same day as my appointment/baseline usually.
@adirat- I didn't realize you transferred again already! Crossing everything for the best news on mon!

Info in spoiler/TW
I'm not going to believe anything is official until beta, but I see a second line on FRER I've had quite a bit of stomach upset and headaches every evening for the last three days (hormone headaches were a symptom with my previous pregnancy, and with my IVF, too lol). I also had several hours of AF-like cramps a few days ago, followed by some "stretching" feelings in my pelvis.
Thanks everyone. I appreciate your kind words. I don't have any frozen so I'll be off the boards for a while. I wish you all the best with your transfers, betas, etc.
My beta today was 256 I'm super relieved. My progesterone was low so they're upping me to 3 suppositories per day, and I need my progesterone checked again Wednesday when they do the second beta. I'm also feeling quite nauseated so I have to believe that's a good sign.
Is anyone else on crinone or endometrin for FET? What were your levels?
@adirat- congrats girl!! So happy for you!! Did you do anything differently this time? I remember that you had sent me that reddit article this was your second transfer right? Fx for a great second beta!

@adirat Wow!!! I'm so happy for you!!!! Congratulations! This wonderful news is giving me so much hope. After our devastating FET last November, now here you are with this amazing surprise. I hope and pray for more and more good updates from you.
afm, I'm at the Jan IUI board right now, waiting for my LH surge and probably would have my procedure 1/10 or 1/12.
@decemberdoll27@tinjp78@jamieh2000 Yes, please join me at PGAIF soon!!! I love you guys and I want to see you there too. I actually haven't joined yet...but I'm hoping my second beta will look good and I'll feel confident about going over there.
@JamieH2000 Yes, after reading that article, I talked to my RE about doing something different. He did an endometrial scratch before this FET, and I truly believe it helped. My only natural conception was the cycle of my HSG where the balloon hit the side of my uterus and caused a lot of bleeding (that pregnancy was a second tri loss but it was genetic-related, not related to my uterus or anything). Anyway, my RE speculated that my uterus might need some sort of damage to turn on the receptivity. Apparently that's a thing.
@adirat, @BusinessWife and other ladies, I have a question for you, guys. On your successful FET( or any FET cycle at this point) cycle when did you start PIO? I know that it starts 5 days pre-transfer but on your first PIO day was it am or pm? My last FET ( BFN) my instructions were to do it in the pm on the first day. However, this cycle they did not specify. I am waiting for the nurse to call me about it but I also want to know what other people did. Please help.

@adirat- Thanks for sharing! i am glad it did the trick for you! I have polyps removed before my FET, and it was like a scratch, so unfortunately I don't think it helped. I will be doing the ERA this time before, which is also like a scratch, so I have that covered at least I think I am going to ask for a steroid too just in case I have anything immune going on. Can't wait to hear your second beta.
@Decemberdoll27- I have not done PIO medicated FET, but with my natural/stimulated FET, I ovulated on a sun morning (so progesterone started flowing sunday during the day) and I started my supplementation on Sunday Evening. We transferred at 1pm on the next Friday. Not sure if that helps, but that was my timing...

@jamieh2000 My RE prescribed 5 days of steroids (medrol) for both of my FETs. It's possible I have mild endometriosis and he said better safe than sorry with the transfer. I would definitely recommend trying a steroid, just in case!
@DecemberDoll27 I started my suppositories in the morning 5 days before both FETs, which were both in the late morning. For this one I remember starting the suppositories the morning of the 24th (along with aspirin and medrol), and the transfer was the 29th at 11 AM. I hope the nurse calls you back soon!
@adirat. So so happy to see your news!!!!!! <img alt="" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/er/htzx7tfpx13e.gif"> Will look forward to hearing more good things Wednesday and in the weeks and months to come... ❤
@Decemberdoll27 Whenever I transferred I did my first PIO the mor Ing of the 5th day prior, then I did a second in the evening in order to have my injection scheduled flipped from AM to PM. I was told if I wanted to stay on AM, just stay on AM, and only add the second evening dose that first day if I planned to stay on PM. So basically I take Estrace 6AM and 6PM, the PIO around 8PM, and that works for me.
(Now that they added the Levo, I take Levo+Estrace at 5AM with water, so I can eat something by 6AM and get on with my day.)

5 failed IUIs
February 2015 - BFP naturally (ended at 5 weeks in chemical pregnancy)
August 2015 - first IVF cycle (14 eggs retrieved, 10 mature, 10 fertilized, 2 blasts)
September 2015 - BFP (ended at 6.5 weeks in chemical pregnancy)
February 2016 - FET (BFN)
September 2016 - second IVF cycle (19 eggs retrieved, 16 mature, 12 fertilized, 1 blast)
Diagnosis: unexplained infertility
*TW***
Ultra-sound today at 7 weeks and no yolk sac, only gestational sac, no heartbeat, so it's looking like a MC. We did pgs but I guess it's not foolproof. I'm going back Monday but I think it's just a formality. DH is holding out hope but I was reading the doctors loud and clear. Totally heartbroken:'(

@adirat CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

Will look forward to hearing more good things Wednesday and in the weeks and months to come...
