Once we all get farther along, we will also have pinned threads for things like ultrasounds, sex announcements and birth announcements.
I've copy/pasted this from previous boards, and it seems to be the way that they are all organized, but of course we should feel free to tweak for our needs! For example, some boards do weekly ticker changes while others do weekly due date check-ins (ex, DD 1st week of Sept.).
If anyone has a suggestion for other threads, please feel free to comment a suggestion.
PLEASE keep in mind that there will eventually be a lot of us on this board, and an organized board will be much easier for everyone to use. If we can all keep the one-off posts to a minimum the board won't be too cluttered to navigate, and hopefully we won't end up answering the same question 2,000 times.
Let's have a great BMB ladies!
Re: **READ THIS FIRST** Board Organization
I guess we can play by ear whoever notices a particular check-in is missing that day can go ahead and start it, right? I have also seen groups have people sign up to start this or that, but I don't know if that's just in the beginning, or what. I feel like things should start to run themselves after a while here...

We have several ladies hoping for VBAC, but that might not necessarily be unmedicated, either. And to the woman whose labor and delivery ends in an unplanned c-section - your birth is not "unnatural." To the woman who had her heart set on delivering vaginally, but for the safety of her baby, her care team is recommending a c-section, your birth is not "unnatural". I just find it's a huge spectrum of birth plans and birth experiences, and I would hate to start creating the ickiness or division of too many boxes and labels.... my two cents.
Maybe "Home Birth Check-in" is more apt? Or "Unmedicated" Check-in? As much as I may personally aspire to an unmedicated, not too hospital-ish delivery, I'm not sure I'd feel right about participating in something called "natural," imho. I have too much love and mad respect for my c-section mamas who have been in the trenches.

I'm planning for an unmedicated home birth after cesarean myself. If you really think home birth is your thing and you can find a midwife who you can trust to recognize issues, and do plenty of research yourself, I don't think being a first time mom or over 35 is a reason to shy away from it.Too much dog hair, well, that one I understand and resemble. Good luck making that decision.

I think maybe a general coping with labor thread? I think it could be really beneficial to discuss all different pain relief- breathing, positions, drugs, ect side by side to help learn what one could do to make it without meds if they want and their birth allows for it and what the options are when/if drugs or epidural become necessary or preferable.
I think I have a few more days to edit the main post. Is the CS thread weekly or monthly? I can add that in. I can add the home birth/birth center one too.
