@emmasemm I’m sorry I don’t yet know what all the abbreviations mean. What does HOI stand for? We have already been to 5 RE and this last one was the only one willing to take a chance on us. So, what protocol has your RE proposed for your next cycle?
@Hopeful_mom how’s your rash doing? I’m curious, did you do an IVF cycle simultaneously while doing DE pre screening etc?
@hopeful_mom- When the doctor said that about the irritation, I immediately thought of your situation! I am going to keep a close eye this weekend and then call my RE on Monday if I start feeling any irritation. I think most of the irritation was in my cervix, and you don't have many nerves there, so maybe thats why I don't feel it. I actually have two vials of PIO from my cancelled FET, so if I need to switch, I have enough for 2 weeks at least.
@adc0417- My clinic won't start the DE process until you are completely done doing IVF yourself. I think that is pretty normal. Unless you start looking for a donor through an agency and keep doing IVF at your clinic. My clinic let me look at donors before I made my decision, but I couldn't put holds on any until I made that decision.

@JamieH2000 that’s exactly what our clinic told us too. What exactly is the reason for that? I’m so torn; a part of me is so ready to be a mom very soon at any cost, and the other part wants the child to have some genetic linkage and resemblance to me and so use my own resources. This is the hardest decision I have to make.
@adc0417- this is one of the biggest choices you will ever have to make, I totally agree. As much as we want to be done with this IF journey, DE is not a decision that can be rushed. I would read through the DE thread and join the DE warriors group on facebook. One of the things that helped me most was hearing from women who did it and have zero regrets and how they feel no difference between genetic and Donor children (as some have both). As for why clinics don’t let you start DE while still trying, I’m not totally sure. For my clinic, about half the donors seemed to be available immediately, so you would need to make the huge deposit within a week if you wanted them. For the ones in cycle, we could put a hold, and sometimes there were multiple people in line, so they probably don’t want people in line that aren’t fully committed since it makes it harder for others to know where they really are in line? You should also consider if you want to do fresh or frozen and if you will use your clinic Donor pool if they have one. Well that’s my hysteroscopy and Saline sono done - and all clear. In fact my lining was perfect for just about to O and he thinks I would be a great candidate for a natural FET cycle if we ever get blasts. So other than dodgy timing and not many crappy old eggs, no reason found why we can’t get KU alone in between treatment.

@emmasemm I'm glad your doctor was positive about your list and your new strategy! I hope it works for you! That is excellent news about your hysteroscopy. Did the doctor have any recommendations about proceeding between treatments?

Sorry I haven't been around in a couple of days. We were in a car accident on Saturday morning and it's been really hectic. DH and I are both okay, but the car is a mess. I don't want to give too many details on social media since we're looking into getting a lawyer. Either way, we're okay, just sore and banged up, and that's the important thing. My CT redo is Wednesday morning, and my HSG is that afternoon. So this'll be a fun week.

@dreamscapes_ - Omg, car accidents are so scary and I'm so glad you are ok. Of course getting a new car and legal stuff is very stressful and NOT what you needed right now! My dad actually got t-boned on sunday when a car pulled out and he broke 5 ribs and totaled the car. Luckily the ribs didn't puncture his lung or spleen, so he will recover fine, just lots of pain. People need to be more careful, especially in winter! PIO is administerd via intermuscular shot, well crinone is a cream in a tampon like applicator.

@JamieH2000 I'm glad your dad is relatively okay! Will the insurance replace the car? We don't know the other driver's statement yet, and I don't want to discuss it in a public forum. It's just frustrating. Thank you for explaining the difference between the two!
@Hopeful_mom Honestly, unless I was KU, we can't think of many other times where this could have been worse. I kept telling DH that this was the only bright side to us not being KU already, since I could have lost it.
My CT got re-scheduled for next week, but that's okay. My middle back suddenly started hurting tonight, which I normally don't
have. I have chronic lower back pain, so I'm used to back pain, but this
is new.
@dreamscapes_- It was def the other person's fault, so I am sure their insurance will pay the value of my dads car. It was a bit older, so probably not worth near what a new one would be. @JamieH2000 I know it's hard just hang in there and I would actually hold off testing, five DPT is really early I know many people see a squinter but I truly didn't see anything really until the day 8 so I would hold off a few more days if you're going to test even!

Today I am 15 weeks yay!! I had a Really fast dr appt yesterday . I don't know if it was because of the shingles and he wanted to get me out of there or it's just like a fast check to make sure all was OK
He didn't give me a sono but I did see my nugget and hear the heartbeat!! Best sound! He also said I won't really be able to feel movement till abt wk 20.
He also took like 10 vials of blood which I wasn't expecting but he drew my blood and got it on the first try. I was quite impressed as new ppl take like 3pricks or so to get me. So far I'm really liking this dr so that's exciting as I was a stress ball over having to find a new OB!!

9 days is good!! I feel like I should lie and say that I'm feeling better because I know how much everyone wants to be on the other side but I'm still so sick! I'm starting to get a couple of hours during the day that I have some peace so I'm hoping that it will start to go away as the weeks progress. The actual vomiting has at least lessoned, still there it's just not as often so I'm really hoping this won't be throughout the whole pregnancy!! Now I sound like a wuss but I give credit to all the mamas that work through this because there's just no way I can right now. I can barely make a 10 minute car ride without wanting to throw up

@JamieH2000 you are so wise to wait on testing until 9dpt. I tested on 5dpt and 6dpt while staying at my inlaws. It was rough. **tw*** I had a squinter at 8dpt. Praying for a bfp!

@adc0417 just wanted to say I totally feel you on the just ready to be a mom already front it is such a hard decision to move on from this current process, I struggle so hard with it too.. we all support you 1000% with whatever your next move is. @emmasemm I’m glad your tests came back looking good! I have never done a saline sono but I really need to. I only did the hystosalpingogram. Knowing everything is clear in there really makes trying beteeen treatments feel so much more hopeful!!! I sure hope you are one of those ladies who’s gonna end up with her BFP beteeen treatments! _
@dreamscapes_ uuugh, so sorry to hear about your accident! That sounds just awful. I too have chronic back and neck pain due to herniated discs and it suuuucks, so it must’ve be absolutely awful to have a new place on your back hurting. I’m so sorry. Good luck with everything.

@hopeful_mom 15 weeks!!!!!!!!! I’m so over the moon for you! I really hope the nausea lets up for you soon:( that must be awful. Time feels like it’s flying to me but I’m sure it’s not for you:) Good luck with your tests next week! Are those the last of the tests that are done? I feel very under educated about this part of the process. I feel like I remember the tests around then being a really big milestone from my sisters pregnancy, but it’s also sort of a blur.
Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease Homozygous MTHFR Cr677 DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high) 2 iui's to start - BFN IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5 IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol Chemical pregnancy FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos 1st transfer - chemical pregnancy 2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!
@hopefuljj it's really funny you mention being under educated on this process because I keep saying that all the time! Every time there's a test I'm just so foreign to all of it which is hilarious because were such pros for the before party and the after party im such A newbie it's hilarious! I have a 16 week appointment with the high-risk doctor and then 20 week appointment with the high-risk doctor and I want to say after that I don't think there any other outstanding tests but I'm not 100 percent sure so I will keep you posted

@kp214- thats for sharing! It gives me hope and resolve to wait until 9 days then. I was doing good for the first 4 days, but yesterday and today are feeling so nervous and anxious it didn't work. I mean the odds are like 80%+ at my clinic and i put in 2.. so if it didn't work, then what ELSE is wrong with me?! Awwww

Unfortunately it’s stark white and 9days last transfer so there is no hope for beta. We do have more embryos but if two top grade with one of them hatching didn’t stick, it has to be an implantation issue. I will probably insist on an ERA and I have a horrible feeling I will be in the few percent that is non receptive. We will see what the doctor says but not sure how much more my heart can take

In 2015 I was 35...Found out I had only one working ovary, which was DOR, with scar tissue and I ovulated at 7 days, with a small cervix opening and a tilted uterus... Needing an RE was a must.....IUI#1 Sept 2015,,, BFN IUI#2 Oct 2015,,,BFN IUI#3 Dec 2015,,BFN IVF#1 2/1/16- BFN IVF# on 3/29/16 retrieval only - 1 healthy chromosome tested embryo. IVF#3 retrieval 4/23/16- 0 healthy embryos. IVF#4 retrieval 6/17/16- 1 healthy embryo. FET#1-Transferred Both Healthy Embryos on 9/6/16 BFP!! 9/15/16 Beta 22.3, 9/17/16 Beta 60.5 & 9/19/16 Beta 195! 1st US on 9/23/16, only 1 Gast Sac & Yolk Sac found, US 9/30/16 US 6wk 1day saw and heard Heartbeat 120bpm!! @jamieH2000 I have absolutely no words that would be able to make this at all better. My heart is breaking for you. I can not believe this. The only words that keep coming to mind are 4 lettered and not helpful. I’m just so sorry and incredibly angry and disappointed at the universe.
Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease Homozygous MTHFR Cr677 DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high) 2 iui's to start - BFN IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5 IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol Chemical pregnancy FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos 1st transfer - chemical pregnancy 2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!
thanks ladies, your kind words give comfort in such a hard time. i thought I cried out all my tears yesterday, but apparently not. Working from home and waiting for the beta call. My RE is on vacation this week, so not sure I will get to talk to her. Just really losing hope we will ever have success. @adirat- thanks for the article. I am going to ask about all those options. Hopefully she will be willing to try at least an ERA and a steroid for the next transfer.

@adirat- thank you so much for the strength. Each failure takes longer to pick myself up and I am not sure how long it will take this time.
I got the confirmed negative, but my RE is on vacation so I couldn't talk to her. I am gone next week, so i can't get in until 1/3. Feels like forever to not have a plan. But with my Hawaii trip the first week of Feb, I doubt we could do any transfer before that anyways. I think I will push to try to get in an ERA before the trip if I can.

@emmasemm I’m sorry I don’t yet know what all the abbreviations mean. What does HOI stand for? We have already been to 5 RE and this last one was the only one willing to take a chance on us. So, what protocol has your RE proposed for your next cycle?
@Hopeful_mom how’s your rash doing? I’m curious, did you do an IVF cycle simultaneously while doing DE pre screening etc?
@adc0417- My clinic won't start the DE process until you are completely done doing IVF yourself. I think that is pretty normal. Unless you start looking for a donor through an agency and keep doing IVF at your clinic. My clinic let me look at donors before I made my decision, but I couldn't put holds on any until I made that decision.

Sorry I haven't been around in a couple of days. We were in a car accident on Saturday morning and it's been really hectic. DH and I are both okay, but the car is a mess. @Hopeful_mom Honestly, unless I was KU, we can't think of many other times where this could have been worse. I kept telling DH that this was the only bright side to us not being KU already, since I could have lost it.
My CT got re-scheduled for next week, but that's okay. My middle back suddenly started hurting tonight, which I normally don't have. I have chronic lower back pain, so I'm used to back pain, but this is new.

IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5
IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS

Married my best friend in 2013 (I was 33), After 1.5yrs of TTC got my first BFP naturally on 2/7/15 but ended in DNC on 4/14/15, not viable. In 2015 I was 35...Found out I had only one working ovary, which was DOR, with scar tissue and I ovulated at 7 days, with a small cervix opening and a tilted uterus... Needing an RE was a must.....IUI#1 Sept 2015,,, BFN IUI#2 Oct 2015,,,BFN IUI#3 Dec 2015,,BFN IVF#1 2/1/16- BFN IVF# on 3/29/16 retrieval only - 1 healthy chromosome tested embryo. IVF#3 retrieval 4/23/16- 0 healthy embryos. IVF#4 retrieval 6/17/16- 1 healthy embryo. FET#1-Transferred Both Healthy Embryos on 9/6/16 BFP!! 9/15/16 Beta 22.3, 9/17/16 Beta 60.5 & 9/19/16 Beta 195! 1st US on 9/23/16, only 1 Gast Sac & Yolk Sac found, US 9/30/16 US 6wk 1day saw and heard Heartbeat 120bpm!! You have every right to be upset. I was devastated when my FET failed.

My RE did an endometrial scratch for me before this FET, and if this one fails too, we'll probably look at ERA. I hope ERA can help you!

I got the confirmed negative, but my RE is on vacation so I couldn't talk to her. I am gone next week, so i can't get in until 1/3. Feels like forever to not have a plan. But with my Hawaii trip the first week of Feb, I doubt we could do any transfer before that anyways. I think I will push to try to get in an ERA before the trip if I can.
