@businesswife Same as @dragonette505 -- I got my bcp and my estrogen at the Rite Aid pharmacy near my house. I hope you can get that locally! Plus those are SO CHEAP compared to the IVF meds.
@BusinessWife work life balance is so difficult, especially with IVF. How flexible is your job? Can you go back to part time? I don’t see your life getting any less busy
@adirat did they have to special order the meds at Rite Aid? Didn’t someone recently say they got Lupron and Progesterone from Walmart? I might be making that up by I thought someone said that

The donor results are back and we are cleared to proceed!! She is a carrier for something random and minor but my husband is not so it isn't a concern. Once the contracts are all signed we will get our cycle calendar.
H and I went over the contract draft very thoroughly last night (definitely more thorough than I needed to be but H is into details). I emailed the attorney with our questions last night and will hopefully hear from her early next week to finish that up.
Still on track for November!

So I get an email from my good ol nurse with the following pdf:

Yes, I think once the contract is done we will have finished all the logistics but that could take a little while. @dragonette505 is this nurse just trying to stress you out? This process is stressful enough already so she needs to quit. That reminds me of after my DH got his genetic testing done and we got a letter from the insurance company saying it would cost $16000. I almost had a heart attack.
@DecemberDoll27 I am so sorry for your loss. I'm really hoping that November will be the lucky month for you!
@laurad75 Yaay for you! So happy all the testing looks good and you are on track for November!
@BusinessWife I hope you scraped up the energy to make it through the day and you're resting now!
@adirat I am late but yay for the awesome report! FX for awesome results from the PGD testing!
Awesome! So supposedly my BCPS were called in to my local pharmacy, so I'm headed over there to pick them up now, even though traffic is terrible this time of day! I ended up putting off the Baseline blood work till tomorrow since Friday is my longest work day, and it would have just been too crazy. So I get to go in tomorrow morning for labs, work half a day, and then go to the second wedding!!! ( for any of you who may work all from July / August, I was worried about what I was going to wear to these two weddings coming up, and being bloated from stims, and/or possibly early KU LOL)
@irisheyes81. Congratulations on getting your date set!! That is so exciting. Mine will be that week sometime too, except I'm not sure what day yet. I can't wait to find out!! I'm not sure if it will end up being the same day as you though, actually, only because they wanted to schedule the hysteroscopies on a Wednesday, and I'm wondering if she always does those type of surgeries on Wednesdays, and that's a different location, then maybe she's doing transfers on a different day of the week. I guess we'll have to wait and see!
@DecemberDoll27. I'm so sorry again about your CP. But glad to see you here on the thread for November! It's a really great group and we're happy to have you. ❤ I have not had a transfer yet, so I'm not sure what to say about your re appointment, but I would say just like any appointment, make sure you write down your questions ahead of time so you don't forget. It's so easy in the moment to forget and then afterward you're kicking yourself like, "oh, why didn't I ask that question when I had the chance?!?" Now I need to be sure to take my own advice here, because my next doctor's appointment is a phone consultation on Thursday, so I need to be sure to have my questions ready to go for that, too.
@laurad75 Congrats, on one more giant leap forward!
@dragonette505. Oh honestly, with that nurse, tho!!!
Which leads me to today's random rant, ...BCPs, super cheap. But wait, now you wanna take medicine to help GET YOU PREGNANT??? Well, that'll cost ya. ;)
@laurad75 once y'all sign on the dotted line you're off to the races! It always surprises me how it seems like it'll be forever till a cycle starts, then suddenly you're in it!!! @safire3 Omg! The price of a car for some testing?!? @BusinessWife It's truly ironic how they make this cost so much! Especially where there's so many people who, for the price of a couple glasses of wine and poor judgement end up ku
@BusinessWife My insurance covers BCP 100% - they are FREE! Then when I'm actually trying to get pregnant they set a max that covered one round of IVF and now I'm completely OOP for meds (for me and my donor). My insurance company does not want me to get pregnant.

Hey ladies! I had my baseline on Thursday and everything was looking good so I got cleared to start estrogen patches. Later that night I got AF (fun times). Yesterday I started patches and I'm continuing Lupron for another 14 days. Has anyone just had an awful reaction to the patches? I had a full-on ugly cry on my drive home from work. Granted I've been working late nights for the last couple of weeks, I'm not feeling well thanks to the Lupron, and I also got some bad news about my bffs mom. I'm just not a cryer. I guess I just have to be patient with myself right now
@irisheyes81 Yay for a date, 11/15 sounds like a great day @DecemberDoll27 I'm so sorry for your loss I have no advice on what to expect from the follow-up appt with your RE. Just write down all your questions and ask everything you need to. @dragonette505 your nurse is stressing us all out! you definitely need to ask your RE to please have her not contact you anymore. @BusinessWife work/life balance....ugh. I can't seem to figure it out either. There are times I am coasting, but it always seems like when I need more time to focus on life (and IF) that is when work becomes a needy witch. @laurad75 You are on your way! you must be so excited. When does your donor start stims?
Regarding BCPs, my RE had me start a pack, stop after 2 weeks, get AF then start again. He does all his IVF/FET in batches so its how we all get on the same schedule. So I had to get a second pack of BCP in the same month, and the pharmacy was FREAKING out saying I had to get special clearance from my insurance to cover the cost, etc etc, I asked the pharmacist how much it would cost if I just paid out of pocket....a whopping $21 LOL - I'm like lady, it's ok, I'll pay out of pocket. If only all the other meds were $21 a month.
@coco305 lol your pharmacist made it sound like it was gonna cost you a bajillion dollars! Hullo! I spend more on my brow pencil! Just gimmie the durn bcp's
@coco305- I also had to get another BC pack before I was technically due for it, and you can call your insurance and tell them you are going on vacation and need to get it early. My insurance says I get 2 exceoptions like this per year. Hopefully you wont need BC again ever, but just throwing it out there in case anyone else runs into this!
@decemberdoll27- So sorry to hear about the CP I can't imagine how devastating. But we have all decided that Nov is going to be OUR month, so glad you are here and hope that we are all right about Nov
@dragonette505- Have you ovulated yet? I'm curious what your RE says about the fresh transfer this week!!
Ladies- I stopped BC on Thurs, and I'm hoping to get my period tomorrow (since baseline is on Monday). I'm not really feeling like its coming though. Has anyone had baseline before AF started? I'm not used to be this type of schedule (normally I would just call on day 2/3, but they had me schedule it on Monday)

@JamieH2000 My protocol specifically says to come in whether or not I get AF. I will stop bcp on a Wednesday and my baseline is scheduled for the following Monday so I think you are fine.
@laurad75@businesswife of course the insurance companies don't want us to get pregnant! I had to do bcp before IVF and again now before FET. Not only is it free but they keep hounding me to order 3 months at a time which I (hopefully) will not need. Meanwhile we are 100% OOP for anything infertility related.
@coco305 Yay to starting your patches! I haven't started mine yet so I don't know for sure about the side effects but that totally sounds like a side effect. I hope it gets better. Btw are you in Florida? I am wondering because of the 305.
@JamieH2000 don't worry. I stopped my bcp last Sunday and had my baseline Thursday without AF. I got it that night, and my bw was anyhow fine and I was good to go. My nurse told me that my lining was thin and would probably just spot, since I had gotten AF like 2 weeks prior. You should be good to go.
@JamieH2000 omg! You're So close!! That's a good idea to say you need another pack of bcp's for vaca! AFM either my cbe fertility monitor is being a jerk or my body is... I don't feel like I've o'ed, but my temp spiked today.... I dunno. I'll find out for sure Tuesday
I *might* be ovulating now or hopefully at the latest tomorrow. My chart tried to fake me out, but my temps (after one high day yesterday) are back to their pre O low and I'm JUST getting decent amounts of EWCF (as of yesterday). So theres that. If I O today then i will be starting stims in the next couple of weeks.
On the situation with my clinic, heres the running stats: 1. My nurse surprised me with telling me I have a polyp or something last week and nobody told me before that moment 2. My nurse sent me a message saying my insurance would not cover my IVF meds for this upcoming cycle and I would have to pay out of pocket. I called Cigna and they were like.. nah, youre good on to the latest stuff... 3. I get to my local Rite Aid to pick up my estrogen for priming ahead of my cycle yesterday and they tell me, oh this med is not covered and you have to pay 50 bucks. I'm like...ok, whatever... but wait a minute, can you tell me why my estrogen is rejected? Them: oh, your estrogen is covered, its this prescription prenatal that's not. Wait what??? I'm like...that's not for me and I don't want it... I email my nurse and ask wtf. Shes like: Oh since youre transferring this cycle the doctor wants everyone to have more folic acid. Me: I am currently on a prescription prenatal with more than enough natural folate. Her: ok, good!. 4. Today I get an early morning email from, you guessed it, my nurse saying CVS pharmacy cant remember how they sent me my Omnitrope..... GURL! I'm like, I have never used CVS pharmacy for anything, I got my omnitrope from Cigna specialty pharmacy and when I spoke to them last week they were aware of this order and seemed to have no problems. Her: oh, I think I meant cigna, great! I'm sure its all set then. WHAAAAT?? Anyway, this girl is dumb as rocks! What did I ever do to get her as my nurse????
@dragonette505 what! She does something annoying every day it seems! Can you switch nurses? I think I’d call the doctor and give them my list of concerns. The next few weeks are so crucial! You don’t need the stress.

@Irisheyes81 I'm definitely going to talk to my doc tomorrow... honestly I don't know how much I even care... its almost funny. Its like shes on drugs or something.... I don't even get excited when she does something. lol maybe I'm numb. During the cycle I deal with other nurses, so actually I don't really have much to do with her during. Shes the scheduling nurse, so she gets my calendars made ahead of time and orders my meds. During the cycle theres a few other ladies who mostly handle my stuff and I can reach out to them directly
@dragonette505 so glad you are able to just roll with her shh and not let it get to you now lol. I mean honestly.
You guise. I have my FET date. I could just squeal. Friday, 11.17.17. That is the day that the internet puts my EDD as the 100th Anniversary of my father's birthday. C'mon, if that's not a "sign," I don't know what is!
@BusinessWife That's so exciting!!! That is such a sign you need to go directly to the "youre not pregnant" thread, because i'm already symptom spotting for you! lol How awesome would that be, though! It could happen!
@dragonette505 lol I know right???? I may or may not have ordered my boppy and extra covers last week.... and our announcement onesie yesterday! I need to chill. ;)
@dragonette505 pretty much!!! Although I'm still mad at him cos he told me he refused to wear a shirt similar to this over the holidays...
You guys are cracking me up but that is awesome @BusinessWife. Try not to start decorating the nursery yet though until we know if it's a girl or boy
@dragonette505 well I guess your nurse at least makes life interesting. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if you saw your RE this week and she was like 'what polyp?'.
@safire3 I'll never be THAT lucky... I cant make heads or tails about why I can transfer if I have a polyp but I'm staying chill till tomorrow... who knows... a whole new problem may crop up... I never count on anything with IVF
@dragonette505- WOW about your nurse! NOT OK! I mean you have been through this enough that you can handle it and catch all the mistakes.. but what if she messes up stuff for someone who is in their first IVF? I would maybe say something to your RE!
@businesswife- I like that date!! Its just a nice "number"! FX there are NO delays and that is only like 6 weeks from now!! Woot Woot!
AFM- finally started AF today and had my baseline. Waiting for the call, but thinking things should be fine on my end. Donor's baseline is Wed.. so that is what I am nervous for... its gonna be a stressful few weeks for sure!

With that in mind I will see what my doc says

@DecemberDoll27 I am so sorry for your loss. I'm really hoping that November will be the lucky month for you!
@laurad75 Yaay for you! So happy all the testing looks good and you are on track for November!
@BusinessWife I hope you scraped up the energy to make it through the day and you're resting now!
@adirat I am late but yay for the awesome report! FX for awesome results from the PGD testing!
Well, that'll cost ya. ;)
@safire3 Omg! The price of a car for some testing?!?
@BusinessWife It's truly ironic how they make this cost so much! Especially where there's so many people who, for the price of a couple glasses of wine and poor judgement end up ku

I guess I just have to be patient with myself right now
@irisheyes81 Yay for a date, 11/15 sounds like a great day
@DecemberDoll27 I'm so sorry for your loss
@decemberdoll27- So sorry to hear about the CP
@dragonette505- Have you ovulated yet? I'm curious what your RE says about the fresh transfer this week!!
Ladies- I stopped BC on Thurs, and I'm hoping to get my period tomorrow (since baseline is on Monday). I'm not really feeling like its coming though. Has anyone had baseline before AF started? I'm not used to be this type of schedule (normally I would just call on day 2/3, but they had me schedule it on Monday)

Back for # 2!
@laurad75 @businesswife of course the insurance companies don't want us to get pregnant!
Yes, I'm in Miami, you??
@safire3
@dragonette505 I hope this is really O so you can get things going for your next cycle. FX.
On the situation with my clinic, heres the running stats:
1. My nurse surprised me with telling me I have a polyp or something last week and nobody told me before that moment
2. My nurse sent me a message saying my insurance would not cover my IVF meds for this upcoming cycle and I would have to pay out of pocket. I called Cigna and they were like.. nah, youre good
on to the latest stuff...
During the cycle I deal with other nurses, so actually I don't really have much to do with her during. Shes the scheduling nurse, so she gets my calendars made ahead of time and orders my meds. During the cycle theres a few other ladies who mostly handle my stuff and I can reach out to them directly
You guise. I have my FET date. I could just squeal. Friday, 11.17.17. That is the day that the internet puts my EDD as the 100th Anniversary of my father's birthday. C'mon, if that's not a "sign," I don't know what is!

@dragonette505 well I guess your nurse at least makes life interesting. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if you saw your RE this week and she was like 'what polyp?'.
I cant make heads or tails about why I can transfer if I have a polyp but I'm staying chill till tomorrow... who knows... a whole new problem may crop up...
I never count on anything with IVF
@businesswife- I like that date!! Its just a nice "number"! FX there are NO delays and that is only like 6 weeks from now!! Woot Woot!
AFM- finally started AF today and had my baseline. Waiting for the call, but thinking things should be fine on my end. Donor's baseline is Wed.. so that is what I am nervous for... its gonna be a stressful few weeks for sure!

Back for # 2!
I will def address her to my doc, but I have every expectation that this is her usual way.... I know my Manhattan ladies and I'm sure she has everyone she works with freaked out and bitching about her.... We pay good money for all of this so service is important. With that in mind I will see what my doc says
