@MKRLTX I was 3 cm, but had been on pitocin for 12 hrs when I got my epidural. After it was placed I went from 3 to complete in 5 hrs and DS was born 40 min later. We came to the conclusion that it helped me relax enough to progress.

@MKRLTX, I think she's hurt that no one wanted to join her mommy club.

She's possibly mad because legit advice is being given in this thread but nobody welcomed her aboard on her join my club thread.

Ok dumb question time. When you start to dialate - can you feel anything?

I wondered this too, and given that I've had a few too many situations where either my cervix had to be clamped (IUD related), I actually think I can feel it "changing". Given that I was 1 cm dilated as of Monday, I've decided that I do actually feel it. Not sure I would have as a FTM, and it does feel different than when I get kicked by the baby.

I'm convinced I can feel myself dilating, but I haven't had a cervix check yet, so I'll find out on Tuesday if I am right.

I went from 2cm last week to 4cm this week.  I've had some BH and pressure but I wouldn't say I can feel myself dilating.  With my last baby I was dilated to 6cm without knowing at all.

Thanks ladies! There is just a new feeling this week but it's probably added pressure now that baby girl is head down. She spent so much time breech and transverse, I'm not used to it!

Wow 6cm without knowing it! Lucky lady! Hopefully you experience that this time too! I've only gotten to 3cm with the last 3 and relatively no pain. I'm hopeful I'll get there again but who knows.
