Happy May everyone! Hugs to everyone feeling extra emotional lately! I was on the verge of tears last night when my printer wouldn't work and my internet was out.
@mcvgal I'm sorry that you will have to go back soon!
I just survived a 2 and a half hour exam without a bathroom break in what felt like 80 degrees. When I exited, my misery must have showed by the comments people were making.
I can't really complain, I'm taking 12 weeks but I go back on the 24th. I know there will be some babies waiting to be born. I'm also mourning the summer off I originally thought I had.
Yay for gifs! I've never been able to post them, but I love the gif parties.
I found this humorous disturbing and worth sharing now mobile pictures are back
@Yiggle09 OMG I'm so glad you posted this! My OB was referring to this today and I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about (or that it was even related to the conversation we were having about whooping cough--he didn't make that clear and it seemed like it was totally out of left field...I was so confused!). I put out the call today to make sure all of our family members are up to date on this one. Especially MIL, who was just here visiting and had the remnants of a terrible cough...I'm sure it's not WC but she didn't seem concerned about it and I was terrified
ETA: I just read more about whooping cough and it matches MIL's symptoms pretty closely...off to call H to panic (I'm not vaccinated against that one due to an allergy) and have him talk to her!
On the topic of hormone tears and also gifs, we watched Rogue One yesterday and I was openly weeping by the end. I can't believe I cried at a Star War.
Question: What's the timeline for TDaP? For example, DH got it last spring and he thinks he's still good. For grandparents, when should I say they need to have had it by? 1 year? 2 years? As a nurse, I always say within 5 years, but I can't find a good answer online when it comes to newborns.
Regarding tdap, anybody not pregnant should have gotten the booster every 10 year. My parents and Dh got theirs summer of 2014 for DD so theyre fine for this LO

What @pshaortao said. I'm making grandparents get it before baby arrives, I think just my Mom is left.

This is my understanding as well. Everyone in our family got it in summer 2014 for DS and should be good. I got the booster last week in order to pass the immunization to baby.
@mcvgal going back to work sucks! Sorry that's already on your mind.
Have we heard from @mamatowildones ? I think she said she was getting induced last week. Hopefully everything went smoothly
I was wondering about @mamatowildones, too. Same with @Jkp7749...haven't heard anything in a while. Hope everything is going well with the twins!
I have been wondering as well! Both were logged in this evening, but haven't posted in the last week or two. Ladies, I hope you're both doing okay and the kiddos as well!
Just catching up. Too lazy to tag much but sent out some love tits! I can't believe it's May! Eeeek! I have 4 whole weeks (at least) left though so I'm mentally preparing to go the long haul. I had a magical unicorn day where I felt pretty good. Horrible reflux but nothing new there - FFMC? I stole Pepcid from a patient today at work. I needed it more lol. I had left over baby shower cake and ice cream after dinner and declared that it was a Birthday Month party for my little Claire who better make an appearance this month!
@saric83 I am a religious wearer of compression socks at work and I agree that they're getting to be more and more of a fight. I did see a video recently with "how to put compression socks on" and it made a huge difference. I'll see if I can find it but basically you put your arm in and grab the heel of the sock and turn the part above the heel inside out. So you have the foot part inside the inside out upper part. Put your foot in an then kinda work the calf part up your leg. It makes it way easier than fighting to get a foot through the calf part of the sock!
@nda_roxybabe According to my mother (was a midwives apprentice for a while and mother of 2) the menstrual-like cramps are a sign of dilation. Hoping it's the real thing!
Re: Weekly Randoms 5/1-5/5
PS just read on another bmb that mobile pictures work again...
I almost feel we should do a gif party to celebrate...

@pshaortao That's awesome.
I also saw they have Jan 2018 up now. Oh my goodness
Yay for gifs! I've never been able to post them, but I love the gif parties.

@jayandaplus Agreed with the others, doctor told us tdap within 10 years was good.
