Sorry, posting from phone. I made it to 36w2d carrying my twins. I had a rough few last weeks as far as feeling very uncomfortable and tired. I honestly didn't think I could take it much longer. Monday night was d?j? vu from dd1. I went to bed, then woke up needing to go pee as usual and I felt a small leak. Thought to myself "great didn't make it" this was exactly how my water broke the first time. About 30 min later there was no question it was my water, I started leaking constantly. I called my mom to come stay with dd. headed into hospital at 1 am. Test came back positive that it was amniotic fluid, since I had eaten before bed the on call dr had me wait till 630 am to do c section. I was really nervous since this was my first c section experience. About 545am they hooked my up to an iv, at 615 they started to wheel me into the OR room, I got to say bye to Dh as they gave me my spinal. Everything from that point on happened so quickly, everyone in the room had their purpose and ppl were moving around quickly to get things going. My spinal was not bad at all, felt like my epidural I had gotten with dd. the anesthesiologist laid me down. I remember feeling warm and wiggling my toes to see how long it would take me not to feel them anymore. Within minutes they put the drape up, Dh walks in. Apparently they had already cut me open when he walked in, he wasn't too happy he got a glimpse of fun stuff walking in he said he nearly passed out. The anesthesia team was amazing, talked me through what I was feeling, and would fix instantly when I told them a few symptoms such as headache, shortness of breath etc. baby a Graciela came out screaming and crying at 645 am weighing 5.10 lbs 18 inches long. Baby b was breech and hiding under my lungs, he came out at 647 am weighing 4.14 lbs and 17 inches long. Mateo gulped in amniotic fluid and was having trouble breathing. He got sent straight to nicu. All day I had to wait to get onhooked from iv before I was able to get wheeled over to see him. He is doing good, they are expecting hold to be a few days behind on being discharged with his sister. I just feel horrible that I'm in recovery spending all this bonding time with her and he is in the nicu getting visits from Dh and I through out the day. I called to get transported over just so they could tell me nicu was temp closed because they had a lot of new babies that needed full attention and couldn't have extra ppl there. They assured us he was doing good and we could see him in a few hours. Well that pretty much sums it up. I got to experience both vaginal and c section deliveries in my life time. Both so far have pros and cons. Sorry if there are typos it's almost 3 am, dark in my room and I'm on my phone. Happy deliveries to you all.
