I'm laying at home, 2 hours late to work. I know I NEED to go in, but the thought of hearing all of the stupid "no baby yet" comments is keeping me from moving.
Padsicles: do you need to freeze them in the shape you'll apply to underwear? I repackaged mine and froze them in their original trifold position. Will this be a nightmare? (I didn't want to resurrect the thread.)
I slept horrible last night. Couldn't fall asleep, woke up maybe 5 times to pee. I also dread eating and drinking, as I know it makes me more uncomfortable, as she pushes more on my stomach when she has less room (obviously), but then I'm hungry. It's a terrible cycle. I also dropped oatmeal twice on my belly while eating at my desk. I also can't believe it's May, I knew that this pregnancy is coming to an end, but it seems so weird to know she's due this month. Crazyyyy

I would think you can't unfold them if they are frozen folded?
Today was my first day off work, and I woke up way earlier than I normally would. I couldn't even sleep in right! So I went and bought a couple new pillows, checked out our potential pediatrician, bought stamps, got a macchiato, and was home by 9 AM. I'm going to have to get a lot better at pacing my day out.

My midwife told me to freeze mine in the bottom of a bowl and then just throw them like that in a ziploc bag.
@Louise_Belcher I'm sorry you're grumpy today. I hate waking up feeling like that.
@Jens_Hoes I'm currently covered in yogurt! I don't know why I can't keep food in my mouth today.
One of the girls from my prenatal class had her baby yesterday and she was due a day after me, so now I'm really feeling like it's really going to happen soon!

I folded the ones I'd made the first go round, and didn't have any issue getting them unfolded.
Today is my first day of maternity leave. I have a few last minute things to do around the house for baby, but other than that, I'm just here waiting for him to make his arrival.
@jayandaplus I froze mine folded then popped a few in the fridge each morning to thaw a little and had no trouble unfolding them. (This was last time, with DD)
+1 for can't believing its May! Where did the time go?! +1 for being grumpy today...
Exciting news though, my BFF from college is having her scheduled c-section today! I'm so excited for her! They're team green and I know she is ready to find out! I wish we lived in the same state, but what can ya do?!

14 days left of work. We are staring PARCC testing this week. My room is being used, so I've been trying to scramble to find a place to work with my IEP kids. One lovely peach (second grade teacher) is refusing to let a student stay in her room, with me, and is making us use the cafeteria while the janitor still cleans up from lunch. My blood pressure is through the room with her inflexibility....soooo, I left work on prep to get a sandwich to eat my stress instead.
H's Bday flipped a switch for him and now he's anxious and ready to have this baby. He told me after his bday dinner "Go ahead and break that water!" I really just didn't want to come to work this week so I'm like C'mon baby! I know I'm not due till Friday, but man it gets hard at the end...I'm excited and ready!
@nda_roxybabe - I know what you mean. My EDD is Thursday, and I'm like "why are you still in there? Don't you want to come out and meet your family?!??!". I told my boss I wasn't coming into the office after tomorrow, but mostly just because of my bad attitude towards everyone who comments on my belly. LOL
@ChristinaWild Luckily every one at my work has been good so far. I did avoid contact with all people at an event thing yesterday though because EVERYONE wants to stare and ask when I'm due and talk and I just dont want to.
I used to roll my eyes at girls who'd get annoyed as their due date approached and passed. Now I get it. I'm just excited and tired of waiting!

So frustrating. I hated when they needed our classrooms for testing and it's like "good luck finding an alternate space!" At least next week testing will be over and you'll be that much closer to your EDD.

Random vent for the morning....I got some glamorous compression socks for my beautiful cankles, and getting those suckers on apparently requires a feat of gymnastics/yoga magic I no longer possess!! Nothing makes one feel more like a beached whale than the inability to get stupid socks on. Maybe this is training for wedging my post-partum butt into some Spanx.
And in other news, while everyone else (understandably!) can't wait for the little humans to arrive, I'm crossing my fingers, toes and legs hoping this chica stays put for a bit because we have my BIL's wedding on Saturday five hours out of town. My CS isn't scheduled for three more weeks, so hopefully, we have plenty of time. But I get a little sweaty every time I see a new birth announcement pop up on here as a reminder that shiz is getting real.
I hope all of you ladies have a fabulous Monday free of cankles.

My DH has to do my compression socks for me now. My belly won't allow me to bend over far enough to get them on or off.
This morning I saw the date on my computer and realized it's May! Things are about to get real! I'm a bit jealous of all of you early May mamas, the end of the month can't get here soon enough.
I am so sore after walking around Disneyland yesterday and didn't want to come into work today. Especially when DD said "not yet" when I went in to wake her up this morning. MH really wants me to leave work early for leave, but I am being stubborn about staying until go time. I may need to rethink this...
My shower is this weekend, so anytime after that we're ready for you baby!
Things that made my pregnant self cry the last few days:
1. On the way to Home Depot, DH asked if he could stop and grab a donut. I'm not a huge donut fan and can't eat them anyway due to the GD, so I didn't mind. Then he climbs in to the car after getting his donut, and shoves a delicious smelling long john down his face. I started crying out of jealousy.
2. I broke down at the dinner table last night because DD had been awful for a few hours. She wasn't listening and was doing the exact opposite of whatever I'd asked of her. DH was also in a grumpy mood. So I started bawling and told them they both sucked.
3. Later, while we were hanging a few last things in the nursery, DH felt bad about my breakdown. He gave me a hug and DD came running over to join in. That made me cry.
4. DD always prefers DH to me, except first thing in the morning. Usually she comes in to my room as I'm getting ready, I stop what I'm doing, and we snuggle for 5 mins. Today, when DH saw DD was awake on the monitor, he went in. I thought he was stealing my snuggle time so I started to cry.
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot I'm so sorry for your tears, but I can't thank you enough for posting about it. 1. You made me feel less ridiculous for my own emotional lability lately. 2. You gave me something to laugh about in a solidarity kind of way, but then I got teary-eyed.
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot, hugs in solidarity! DD is so frustrating at bedtime and sometimes wakes up still in the middle of the night. I've been actually hoping she'll wake up these days (I'm up anyway, right?!), so I can get some extra snuggles. Then when she does, I end up in tears because I wonder if it'll be her last night as my only "baby."
It's my last week before maternity leave and I already printed everything for students, made lesson plans, and assigned the last project before I leave. I'm actually bored during my prep and wishing for the week to fly by.

@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot I quickly read your post and thought you said "I broke the dinner table last night", and not "I broke down at the dinner table last night" My mouth hung open for a second until I realized my mistake lol
@saric83 - I don't know if this would make it easier or harder, but when I worked in a pharmacy we would tell people to put them on before they got out of bed in the morning. That way, your legs/feet don't have a chance to puff up before you can get them on. I know they're a pain, but I remember that made a HUGE difference during my first pregnancy! Good luck!
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot - Big hugs! Everything makes me cry too. I actually cried watching DS do his fun run at school last week, wth!!
I had a miserable weekend and I'm super grouchy today. My baby shower got cancelled on Saturday because of a snow storm, DH got called out to plow for the snow storm so I was stuck inside with a cranky and sick kid all weekend, and now I have his cold and feel miserable. Praying the cold passes quickly, I have a million things to do this week between prepping for the baby and DS's birthday party.
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot - lots of hormonal solidarity hugs. These last few weeks are no joke, and every tear is warranted on some level!
@nda_roxybabe - I'm glad you've got good coworkers. I've got one that is driving me bonkers. I feel like she thinks part of her paycheck is being based on the number of comments she makes about my size/appearance/etc.
Well, since I last checked in about 5 hours ago, I finished all of my tasks for this week. I seriously don't know how to do this not working thing, guys. I'm going to have to get creative and learn how to pace myself before baby is here.
@nda_roxybabe and @ChristinaWild I'm so excited for you and the rest of the early May mamas! I can't wait for more birth announcements!
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot Oh man, sounds like a rough couple of days. I think I would have slapped that long john out of my H's hand if I were in your shoes.
@mcvgal When do you go back to work? Time has flown by!
@bailey8809-2 Sorry your shower got cancelled and you had such a crummy weekend. I hope this week is better for you.
@bailey8809-2 that is really crappy about your shower! Hopefully you start to feel better and hopefully they are able to try to throw another one soon!
@starphish18 even though I still work, on days I feel like being productive, I make sure to bump and nap a lot. Ok, I'm only half kidding....I fall asleep in a sitting up fashion half the time without meaning to.
1+ to the end of the month sucking. Except baby is under strict orders to not come until the end of the month so I can go on family vacation, which falls at the end of my leave.
