AFM--Restlessness and sleeplessness in bed. Gonna have to order that Snoogle sooner rather than later! MS is in full force from the moment I wake up until around noon. How weird is it that it's true morning sickness for some of us and others have all day or just evening? It's also gotten to the point where my heartburn isn't controlled by Tums anymore. Gonna have to dig out the Ranitidine!
Every since I started the progesterone yesterday I have been in a constant state of nausea and vomiting. I hope it's just a coincidence...I also said to my DH two nights ago it was time to go get another snoogle. I just can't get comfortable.
Welp, two hours ago I posted in the old thread that I'd been up an hour. I'm at 3 now (it's 4 am here) and no sign of being able to sleep any time soon. I can totally survive on two hours of sleep when my FIL flies in this morning and we can't tell him yet, right?
ETA it's 4 am so he gets in this morning, not tomorrow!
Guys -- the vertigo is back... and that mixed with the little nausea I did have... omg it's awful. I can't decide whether or not I should go to work with today. I feel like death and like I'm going to fall over every time I stand up.
The lack of sleep is killing me. And falling asleep during the day for an hour isn't helping anything. I haven't thrown up but this all day nausea is really starting to get to me. I get nauseous when I'm hungry but I really don't want to eat even though I know I have to

I was the opposite with the insomnia last night- didn't fall asleep until 3:30am. I hate it!
On another note, I actually have the snoogle pillow and am not sure if I like it. I've been having crazy neck and back pain when I sleep with it. It may be because it's seriously stuffed. I'm going to let out some of it and see what happens. Has anyone else had that problem with the snoogle, or recommend another brand?
Add me to the list of insomniacs. What's worse is I have a cold and I can't take any drugs that would actually help
I don't have morning sickness really but if I go too long without eating, I start to feel nauseous. Also my digestive tract has not been kind to me the last few days. I'm not sure what it's trying to expel but I hope it leaves soon
@Marley629 I'm afraid comfort is probably a thing of the past! I hope you find it again... I haven't been comfortable in bed since i got pregnant with DD!
@MJDsquared Oh no! Can you just say you're feeling under the weather and had a hard time sleeping? Squeeze in a nap today?
@tamaraaaa Ugh, I'm so sorry! I hope you're able to squeeze in a nap at some point today too! On the plus side, there will be cake?
@vauxthekate Ugh! That sucks. I haven't had any boob issues this time around, but with DD, it hurt just wearing a bra. I could only lay on my back, right from the get go.
@kvacmak I vote that you stay home! That's a miserable combination. I hope you can kick it soon!
@drablnd Try popping some Goldfish. It's really helped me. I keep little containers everywhere.
@grochril All of the recommendations I've gotten here have been for the snoogle. Maybe it needs to be worn in a little more?
@rachswi I've been the same way! I feel like I'm in the bathroom all day, between tummy troubles and throwing up.
@jlemons-2 I'm sorry. I had to start carrying a container with me, just in case I didn't have time to make it to the bathroom. It's humiliating throwing up in public with no warning!
Wow, lurking other BMBs I didn't see insomnia mentioned much, so it's interesting how many of us are feeling it. Hope all of you ladies aren't too tired today!
@vvitchhazel Thankfully I did just wake up after finally falling asleep for about 3 hours. 5 hours of sleep is much more doable!
@camomile_june Good for you! I was able to fall asleep for a little while longer too. It may have saved the day! Now I'm just counting down the minutes til DDs nap so I can try sleeping some more.
May be TMI, but 8 weeks 2 days and I already have hemorrhoids. I can't use the prescription cream until after 12 weeks bec it has a steroid. I've been adding more water and fiber, doing sitz baths, and using otc creams/wipes. Any other suggestions?
Sorry you mommies are having such a hard time sleeping... Sending sleepy dust out to you all. Not having any symptoms and its kinda worrying me *TW this happened with my first Pregnancy and it was ignored ended up having a missed miscarriage end TW** trying to stay positive and enjoy the fact that I feel ok right now but a little voice in my head is freaking out
@acgonzalez22 try adding in colace maybe a couple times a week to ensure you BMs are as soft as possible. Also try not to strain or sit too long when you try to go as that just increases the intra-abdominal pressure. If they get too painful or bleed too much you may need see a colorectal/general surgeon to see if they can be banded or de-thrombosed. GL and hope they lessen up soon!
For the insomniacs, you can try Benadryl. It knocks me out and I was given the thumbs up by my OB to use it for the whole pregnancy. Also, diclegis has the active ingredient in Unisom and helps you sleep. I have constant indigestion. I took Nexium my entire pregnancy with DD, so that seems to be happening with this pregnancy as well. I have also been constipated, but Mirilax is helping a bit with that.
Momma to Amelia Marie (7/14) and Austin Samuel (11/17). Adding baby (girl) #3 on 7/21
Running on 3 hours sleep and having the worst nausea day yet. I'm not vomiting today but I feel so sick and I have that spins feeling you get with a bad hangover. Not even 3 hours into work and I'm considering going home.
I was sooooo sick with DD. Sickness kicked in Thursday with this one. It was pretty bad Thursday. It wasn't horrible Friday but I drank lemon water all day. I think that helped some. I took unisom and B6 last night. I've hardly had any nausea today. But I slept 12 hours last night and I'm still tired. Laying down while DD naps. Sore BB too.
Here's my very first post in the daily Dec BMB. Oh boy! Sorry to hear so many of us having insomnia and sleep problems. Ugh it's really the worst. I've been taking ambien every night for 7 YEARS and now quit cold turkey. Needless to say, I couldn't fall asleep until 4:30 and I woke up at 7:30. My plan today is to hit up a Walgreens and grab some Benadryl (thanks @ameliabedelia-2)and stay super active so I tucker myself out. Maybe get some lavender oil to put on my pillow or something. My husband wants to go on a like 20 mile bike ride. Uuuuumm...yeah right, homie, who are you talking to?
@vvitchhazel go right to the Zantac 150. The regular stuff is crap. Safe to take. I took one everyday during my last pregnancy I had heartburn so bad. Also if you want tablets try Gaviscon. Different ingredient than tums and seems to work better.
i have a snuggle but haven't needed to pull it out yet. Hopefully won't til later on, it's ginormous and takes up half our queen sized bed.
Sorry if this is TMI but my nausea is accompanied with diarrhea... every time I get a big wave of nausea I have to run to the bathroom. This didn't happen with my daughter! Anyone else experiencing this?
@BabyO2016 it's possible that it isn't actually MS but you have a gastrointestinal illness. Keep hydrated and notify your doctor if it lasts more than 24 hours
So instead of tagging every single person on this thread, I'll just say I am with all who have voted the insomnia (mine is I can't get to sleep until 3) and all day nausea. On top of those lovely symptoms I also have extreme allergies that are aggravating a broken tooth . I'm with @ameliabedelia-2 if you can get enough sleep in definitely take the benedryl! I unfortunately have a husband that works second shift and benedryl knocks me out to the point that I can't hear my boys so I'm unable to take it unless DH is able to be home before I go to bed and there long enough for me to sleep it off.
@kvacmak Not being a know it all but Unisom actually has 2 formulations. One contains diphenhydramine which is the benadryl and the other contains Doxylamine. Doxylamine is what is used in the prescription diclegis plus vit b6. ETA Purchasing a squatty asap!
Sorry to hear about all the insomnia everyone - I'm not there yet but the vertigo is getting worse....anytime I get up from sitting too fast, I'm a little dizzy. And even sometimes just standing. Fun times - at least no vomiting. I've had my bp taken twice this week and its been fine -

@Marley629 My OB said my progesterone is what makes me sweaty and vomit all day on top of regular MS. It also has properties that make you very sleepy
