Ladies get that tdap asap! I forgot to get mine at my last normal appointment and my little one arrived without me having it and her getting some of the benefits of it.
Also I'm a crying mess. Sitting here doing skin to skin with my princess and reading some of her books to her. On the night you were born made me cry a river :'(

I think someone sent that book to me as a gift last week. If it's anything like Love You Forever I'm returning it!!! My heart won't be able to handle it.

My dd is almost 4 and I still can't read that book to her with out crying. That and love you forever. She doesn't even ask for those stories anymore. Lol

You guys, now I feel like I am totally heartless. I rolled my eyes the first time I read On the Night You Were Born, and I haven't read it to dd since. I just kept thinking.... "None of this is true, no polar bears or lady bugs care about your birth! Also, you aren't the most special person ever to be born. Sorry, kid." I guess I am pretty cynical during the newborn phase. #badmom
Y'all are worried about the change in life for your other children. I'm over here like, "I hope the cats aren't too disrupted with the new baby!"

I'm the same way! We also just moved so I was worried about that disruption but so far it seems to be going ok. Hopefully they get used to all the new baby stuff after our shower, and then it won't be as much of a change when baby actually arrives.

Someone got that book for me, I read it, and set it aside to never be picked up again. Not a fan. Now "love you forever" that one gets me now that I have a kid but I am also a huge Robert Munsch fan. I play his oral storytelling CD for my students.

@krex-2 DD is beginning to worry about our dog when DS comes. I know he is fine because we had her already, but she is worried about the seating arrangement in the car. Our dog is 15 and blind so I have him sitting in an expired carseat so he doesn't fall off the seat when we drive with him. She wants to know where he is going to sit now that DS's carseat will be in his spot. I love that she loves him so much!
My belly has been measuring 1.5-2 weeks ahead at my appts lately. Did anyone else measure consistently big, and did it affect when you actually gave birth? OB says we wouldn't actually change the due date until we see how baby measures at the 36 week ultrasound.
I did with DD. After feeling my belly, my MW said she thought it was because I had a lot of amniotic fluid, and I think she was right. I gave birth at 40w6d. DD was 18 in and 7lb 3oz. Sooo, I had a short, chubby baby a week "late."
Well my irrational self has decided DH is a douche for not staying up with me in my discomfort induced insomnia. Like how hard is it to sit and talk with me about how uncomfortable I am at 2:45am. Frick.
Side note: I don't think he will wimp out of his vasectomy appointment after all I'm putting him through this time!
