@beccam1230 I am most likely going to put the new baby in the middle seat, DS will still be rear facing as well, so he will be okay where his seat is now
@wyomama0427 that's what I was thinking too! I just hadn't seen any official recommendations of who to put where so I thought I'd see what everyone thought. Thanks!
@beccam1230 the middle seat supposed to be the safest but idk how you'd chose which kid gets to be safer? We have bucket seats in the middle row so the new baby will get the passnger side and DS will stay where he's at. I really think what ever is most convenient for mom (or dad) is what the arrangement should be.
@beccam1230@Becky012016 while the middle is definitely the safest, IMO behind the driver is the second safest. Think about how many accidents are caused by left hand turns and the passengers side getting hit.
We keep DD behind driver side now for this reason. Ideally I would love to have her in the middle, but we have a high SUV and I can't physically buckle her in anymore.
I am pretty sure you put baby in the middle if you're having a singleton, because their spine is the least fused, etc. The one thing that always over rules it is that you put baby wherever you can get the safest installation. Some cars aren't designed to accommodate a middle seat installation. I would highly recommend that you bring your car and seats to a certified installer. We went to the one my hospital offered and will do that again.
Guys, my March Madness bracket won! I had North Carolina winning it all, and a fourth of my bracket was actually perfect! I don't remember what I get, but I don't even care, I'm just excited that despite my thorough research all these guys were like, "that doesn't make sense, they won't ever beat so-and-so for these reasons," and now all those guys can eat my dust! Also, DH and I always do a family group, just our brackets competing, and the winner always gets to pick a fun date day/night, so I need to start deciding what I want to do! (And also rub it in his face a little bit that I won so handily. )
Popping in to say hi! I've been at work and therefore antisocial. I'm nervous about starting a registry, too! Sign me up for a spectra, rnp, pnp, and clothes. Haha.

Oh and can I suggest y'all look at the 4moms mamaroo for a swing?! We affectionately called ours the rotisserie and DS2 that thing!
So much yes to this! Our little man slept in that thing for the first few weeks. He loved it! We let a friend borrow it and can't wait to get it back. But watch this little one hate it!
It's rainy and gross here again today and I wish days like this meant sleeping in and not coming to work! I woke up so many times last night... to pee, because I was laying on my belly, because I was laying on my back, to pee again, because my cat purrs like a jackhammer.... I need a do-over.

@kelseyrayay hooray!!! That's awesome! How's his little mouth doing?
It looks better there is like one or two in there and it definitely looks a lot better than yesterday. I really didn't want to deal with hand foot and mouth. It would have been the second time he had it.
@kelseyrayay I might be wrong but I thought HFM was like chicken pox and once you had it you didn't get it again? I mean I'm sure there are cases where kids have it more than once but I know that once you have immunity to the specific strain that caused it you won't get it from that strain again. But there's more than one that causes HFM so that sucks. Glad he doesn't have it!!!
Per dr Google :HFMD mostly affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. ... When someone gets HFMD, they develop immunity (protection) to the specific virus that caused their infection. However, because HFMD is caused by several different viruses, people can get the disease again.
Ugh! So you know how I said my FIL bought us a car seat and stroller. I went over the check it out and the only date I could find on it was 2007. Which means it's definitely expired...

Oh no!!! That's such a bummer!! Is the stroller okay still? Or do those expire? I'm sorry that it seems like you need to buy a new carseat and FIL wasted his money
@kelseyrayay Yay for no HFM!! What a relief thay it's going away!

Not really "random" but not TW Tuesday-worthy. Got a family-wide email from SIL2 this morning, saying this might be her last chance at a family vacation for a few years (she's about to start her dentist classes) and that with baby B on the way, it might be our last chance for a while too (???). Her husband has already requested off Aug 20-26th, and she listed several hotels/resorts in Maine to check out.
I'm going to be 3 weeks from my due date. So... no. If I deliver early, or am stuck on bed rest..? And SIL1, who is her older sister and best friend, was on bed rest for almost the last two months with her first kid, so it's not like this is alien territory. I'm not shelling out the money and getting stuck with the bill for a vacation I likely will not want to take if I'm even able.
@Sugargirl1019 I don't know if strollers expire, but I wanted a system so we could place the car seat in the stroller. Plus if we get a new system, it might last through all our kids, however many that may be.

I'm sure this stroller can take a different brand carseat? Or at least a new carseat of its brand.

@jena333 what? Who does that? If she is so set on having a family vacation, what's wrong with having it in June?
BIL wedding is at 35 weeks, requires a plane to get there, yet he can't figure out why we can't come. Sometimes I really think people just lack common sense once they get a plan in their head.

Sorry BIL, the airlines prevent me from getting in an airplane at 35 weeks! Can't go against the airlines rules and my doctors rules!

Hi! Yesterday was crazy. Today doesn't look like it's stopping. Yesterday I had my 16wk appointment during the end of all days storm. All is well with baby and me. I knew I shouldn't have eaten breakfast on my way to the dr's appointment, my weight was significantly different than it was before I left the house, and I reweighed myself this morning (with dripping wet hair) and it was back down. Basically it looked like I was up 11 pounds instead of 5 pounds from my last appointment. Stupid food and wet jeans from the rain, and lack of a BM that morning. Mind you, I am still below my pre-pregnancy weight. Then I made dinner for our meal train for our friend who's wife passed away, and went back across town. It was just hectic.
Today...I don't know when I'll be back on, because as I type, I gotta run! Byeee.
@kelseyrayay I'm glad it wasn't HFM. I got it 2 years ago from my nephew. It was not fun. But I hope this means if my LO gets it... I won't get it again! Here's hoping!
@jena333 That makes on sense...she knows babies regularly come early, right? We will travel three hours to my in-laws for the 4th of July, and then I'm not leaving NY again until Thanksgiving. If anyone has an issue with that, they can keep it to themselves.

Aw, December is still a little baby board- only three threads! But it still feels good to be further along. There are people starting on BMBs who got their BFPs while most of us were already in second tri. That makes it feel so real! But also, how did we get this far along? My BFP feels like it was just yesterday!

@mrsmarygs maybe you can trade the car seat/stroller in at Babies R Us during their trade in event.
Edit because words are hard
