One of the things I'm most looking forward to during pregnancy is putting together a nursery. We're in the process of moving out of our current house and into a new house over the next few weeks so we won't be getting around to doing a nursery anytime soon, but that's not stopping me from thinking about it.
Share any plans or progress you've made on the nursery.

Re: Nursery plans
If anyone is looking for good inspiration I found the boards from lay baby lay on Pinterest to be really great.

When we bought our house, I painted one of the guest rooms green and one yellow. This baby will be in the yellow room. I've decided on a vintage circus theme. I've seen lots of cute circus stuff on Pinterest with yellow, red, and teal color schemes which I'm loving. I'm thinking red and white stripes to look like a circus tent and my mom actually has curtains from mine and my sister's room when we were little. We'll only need one since it's a single window, so she'll use the other to make some pillows. We're going to find some circus theme fabric to do accent pieces. She'll make the bedding, as well. I'll be using the crib and dresser from DS'S room. I've also found lots of cute prints on Etsy that I want to frame.
This is the crib my parents are getting us, from Ikea:
And this is the glider DHs parents bought us:
My sister is painting us something original pooh for over the crib, but I dont get to see that for a while.

The nursery is painted grey (we were Team Green and plan to be with this LO as well), and there is a white Ikea rocking chair in it, a natural wood crib, a white side-table, and I'll have to get another dresser. Once LO is born, I'll put some decorations on the walls and get an area rug for it . We kept DD in our bedroom for 9 months before she went into her own room, so I know I'll have some time to outfit the nursery with decorations after birth!

My husband is a complete car nut and has saved tons of his old car toys so he's pushing for including cars somehow.
We haven't moved into the new house yet, so I'm not going to decide until I have time to stand in the room and daydream for a bit.

Whitewashed looking dresser and crib, navy accent wall, rope style ceiling light, bedding etc will tie in anchors, whales etc. Getting a decal of octopus tentacles to be coming from the closet.
My DHs family sails so it seems fitting.

@britvahok we got ours from Amazon. It's just a simple Graco one but DH did all the research and it meets all the guidelines and the slates are 2" or less apart, making it harder for baby to get limbs stuck between them once he is mobile. Also it's made in the USA. We didn't want the crib to be the focal point since we are doing a wall-sized mountain mural behind it so this was short, simple, and functional all at the same time.

I just finished painting the second nursery and I chose a light periwinkle grey (Sherwin Williams-Starry Night). Excuse the clutter, still not sure what we are going to do with DH's drum set...
I got this bedding from Land of Nod. I like how muted their patterns and designs are and also like the quality. DD has Land of Nod bedding as well. I got 20% off. I almost didn't choose this bedding because of the elephants on one of the sheet sets. I feel like elephants are sooo popular/trendy/overdone. But I just love it so I decided to embrace the elephants and play off of them.
I sort of like to let the themes just develop as I see things that I love. But I'm thinking with the sort of girly take on "elephant grey" on the walls, and the pop of elephants in the bedding, I may incorporate some Bohemian accents. I don't want it to be overboard bohemian though. Maybe just a few items to dazzle and the rest be pretty simple.
We are putting a pull out sofa in this room since it's currently our only guest room and we will need a place for people to stay when they come visit. Our families are out of town and mine are out of state even. The furniture will be a medium-tone stained wood. And I plan to have a button storage ottoman and a lamp table. Those may be the items with a little flare to them.
middy411 I've been lurking on April-June'17 months for my fix because it seems like our month is really behind my personal schedule. lol. Like I ordered my pump yesterday and not a single breastfeeding thread has been started yet. Same thing for gear and registry recommendations! Am I really that far ahead??
I also love the bedding, even with the elephants. Honestly I couldn't even see them in your pic, but I probably would have ruled it out too for having them. Those and woodland creatures are so overdone in my mind. We're doing a mountain/adventure theme nursery and I can't find anything without foxes or bears on it to save my life!
This is our wall we plan to paint and the Babyletto crib was unfortunately out of budget so the Graco one will have to do. My grandpa passed away in Sept suddenly from cancer but he built and flew model airplanes his entire life until he passed so when cleaning out his house I took 5 of his models with plans to use them one day. Since we're having a boy they will go perfectly around the room on the ceiling and wall like this picture shows. No gold triangles, though. Not quite sure why those are there lol. Then the opposite wall from the mural will be yellow (same color as the sun) to brighten things up a bit. Buying paint this weekend!! EEEEEEK!

Anyways, now that I'm done complaining, you're right that the elephants aren't terribly noticeable and will only be on the bed 1/2 of the time since the other sheet set is floral like the quilt. That's why I figure a few dazzling bohemian accents will be cute with or without the elephants. I'm excited to get the furniture in so I can get more inspiration and start shopping for accessories!
I think it's because I was born super early and am nervous if we go early I won't be ready. Plus my shower isn't until July so I want to have as much ready as I can since we won't be getting some of our items until then.
Seriously- so glad to have my pump, just so I can figure it out a bit, ensure I have it for the hospital etc.

I have no idea when our roommate is going to move out, so I'm planning a "nursery in the master bedroom." I'm trying to adopt more of a minimalist lifestyle, so it's probably a good thing I can't fill up another room anyways (I'm really doing a terrible job trying to get started with a more minimalist approach) but I love how you did that! I've been looking for some inspiration
