@mcdonald-bailey I've been sent to L&D twice by my doctor already due to contractions 4 minutes apart, also I'm 100% effaced and starting to dilate.... so I was asking all of those same questions! It's been a solid month now of this BS and I'm still pregnant! My doctor told me obviously to ignore the 5-1-1 rule, even the 3-1-1 rule most likely. My plan, which he agreed with, is that I'll head in whenever the contractions get to the point where I have to stop talking/focus on my breathing through them. They have been pretty uncomfortable and even painful at times, but nowhere near the point where I can't talk through them.
I think I'm having real contractions? I went to bed around 10 last night and fell asleep probably around 11. I randomly kept waking up from BH which isnt too abnormal as they push LO into my hips. Got up at 130 and went downstairs to pee and see if DH was ready to come up and sleep. He looks at me and says "Wow you've dropped" Ya, thanks babe we've discussed this haha and he's like "no, i mean like it's hanging over your pants" sure enough he's right and she has somehow found a way to get even lower. The rest of the night I have been tossing and turning and unable to sleep. I keep having period like cramps that come and go and I cannot for the life of me find a comfortable position in bed. I've maybe slept 45 more minutes. At 3:30 I was so wide awake (and so was DH) I contemplated coming downstairs to clean lol. I've peed multiple extra times, been very thirsty and had loose BM. So now I'm hanging out in the living room seeing if I can assess the situation and maybe get some more rest. I'm 37 weeks, so i'd like for her to cook longer if she can. Having a baby is not in the plans for the weekend! What is in the plans is going to the butterfly farm with DH, DS and the neighbors today. It'll be interesting to see if we make it. I'll keep you guys posted
@Gators&BoSox EEEK, mama!! Thinking of you!! Come on... this weekend is ideal for a baby at least one of us should have a cute kid. Jk. Hope you can get some comfort and keep cooking a bit longer!
I've been having contractions all morning too. Nothing consistent though, and nothing painful enough for me to worry about yet. I'm planning on doing what @MahiMama is doing, not going in until I can't talk through them. I never had pre-labour contractions with DD, once they started I was giving birth that day. This is just annoying!

I've been having crampy contractions every night for daaaaaaaaaaays. Inconsistejt but persistent all evening and early night. I can't believe I still have at least a couple more weeks of this, lol. But I am having the previously mentioned loose stools today, so who knows? All I ask is one more week: my sub is supposed to start shadowing me 2/27.
thanks guys. things seemed to have calmed down so were going on with our day! good luck ladies! all i can say is i hope i don't have more all night cramps!! i need sleep
Congratulations and huge creepy internet hugs on your beautiful rainbow baby @mcdonald-bailey I'm so so happy you finally have that precious little lady in your arms!! Xoxo
@longliveregina how are you feeling this morning? Half expecting a birth announcement from you today My contractions seemed to have cooled off, it goes through phases. Mucus plug is gone as of yesterday but I feel decent today.
@mcdonald-bailey Congratulations!! Your little rainbow baby is so beautiful - I'm so happy for you!! Hope your recovery is swift and you are home in no time enjoying her!

Lol, hopefully not, I'm only 36 weeks! Seriously I'm just gritting my teeth and assuming this is my life for the next month, sigh. Cramps all evening, sleepiness all day. As long as I go one more week, though, baby girl is welcome to make her exit any time. My son is so cute. This morning he insisted he was a baby and wanted me to cradle him and drink his water like a baby. He also told my mom that one day the mommy doctor would give me his baby!
It sounds like you are getting pretty close, though!!
Been having "cramping" in my lower abdomen and it feels like the muscle is doing a wave almost, but never makes it to the top of the bump. It does reach a "peak" of intensity, which I mostly feel in my cervix, then it subsides. Could those be contractions?
I was getting them anywhere from every 20 min to an hour between 1am and 8am. It's 10 AM now, and they seem to have stopped. Didn't think you're justified calling the midwives just yet since there wasn't a set pattern.

Sounds like contractions if they're coming in waves with peaks! You're body must be doing some prep-work ;] but you're correct--as long as they were that spaced out, and haven't continued/gotten closer together then no need to call anyway. Hope you can get some sleep today/tonight!
@kjd291 and @longliveregina thanks ladies for the feedback. I've only had one more two more and they seem to have stopped (at least for now). Was able to get an extra hour or two of sleep, but definitely treated myself to a coffee this morning. Have to work until 8pm tonight I'm kind of hoping baby holds off until after friday because I have a date with a pamper package at the salon that I REALLY want before baby comes! ha ha.
