  • @mrsrep123 Both actually :( 1-2 ribs out of place in the back and the pain I feel in the front is baby's feet kicking my ribs. Those ones are still place though.

  • @nda_roxybabe: I'm so sorry to hear about your ribs being kicked outta place, literally. I can't imagine that pain. Glad you went to the chiro. Hang in there!
  • @RainyDays86 Thanks! Feeling better after she shoved it (them? I think there were 2) back into place. I was just reading on it and apparently the Relaxin in our systems loosens those ligaments too allowing the ribs to partially pop out of place. That with the uterus or baby adding pressure too. Woohoo.

    Yay breathe right!

  • I love the pics of the pets in the baby gear, too! We have plenty of pets, but I don't want to encourage them to be in the crib/stroller/pack n play. Speaking of which, I've been wondering about introducing baby to the pets. Anyone have suggestions? Plans? Experiences?
  • @jayandaplus a lot of people bring home something from the hospital for pets to sniff but I never bothered, I don't do that with other visitors and I don;t get the point, they give the baby, me, and any gear we bring home a good sniff over anyway.

I was proactive though in gating areas from the get go even though we were far from mobility. We have a pretty open floor plan and I could see baby in his RNP in the living room from the kitchen but I had a gate for the living room just so I could keep the dogs out when I wasn't within arms reach. 90% of the time the dogs ignored the baby but it is nice to have a way to guarantee some space during floor play, tummy time, feeding etc. Once he got a little ore alert the dogs were a big nursing distraction and I liked being able to keep them out of the room to prevent niplash.

  • @jayandaplus we plan on trying to remember to bring something home for him to smell. I honestly believe he has no idea there's something different with me. He's the biggest scaredy cat, but attempts to "protect" me so we have no idea how he'll react. He recently met a baby finally and was all over the baby like white on rice. Luckily he's small so we can keep baby out of reach easier.
  • On another note, I'm making my "baby" playlist for labor. Any one else? All songs with "baby" in the title or lyrics. :)

Oooh! I will probably make a playlist and then not use it, haha. I tend to not like added noise in whatever the heck you'd categorize a situation like birth.

  • @Kipperoo How rude! Sometimes I just hate people this pregnancy. Your story makes me instantly fume. I'm so sorry you have to deal with that! For what it's worth, I love "Estelle"!
  • @nda_roxybabe we got the Nuna pipa caraway and the tavo stroller. Love it so far easy to pop in and out. Sorry about your ribs. Ouch!!
  • Okay, someone tell me what the heck I am feeling.

It's a vibrating like sensation, about every 4 seconds in my low pelvis. I can not feel it from outside. I've felt baby hiccups before and these seem too frequent? Or maybe their head is just really in there??

  • @nda_roxybabe hiccups is what I would assume. Or maybe the baby is practicing their breathing. I kind of remember that from last time. I only figured it out after I felt it during an elective 3D/4D ultrasound and they told me that's what she was doing. It was faster then hiccups and wouldn't last as long

  • Sorry to hear that @Jkp7749
  • Is anyone else feeling like they are in constant pain? I'm sure it's RLP but good lord I need a break, the only time I get relief is while taking a hot bath.

@chickyclg ugh, it def feels like it lately. I'm waddling at work because of pain in both of my groin. Also, baby was laying transverse earlier and I was SUPER uncomfortable.. didn't even think I was going to make it to work. Anyways... def commiserating with you.

  • I am experiencing a mild pressure & pain behind my pubic bone over the last week.  I notice it most when I get up and start to walk.  Anyone else have this?  Also, I may have had a Braxton Hicks contraction.  This weekend I had a dull pain wrap around from lower back and around my waist to my ribs.  Lasted about 20 seconds and stopped me in my tracks because I have never experienced anything like it! Any insight?
pubic bone pain could be symphysis pubis dysfunction. Is it worse when you're standing on one leg (like to put pants on) or when you're moving around in bed / getting out of bed?

A dull pain wrapping around your mid-section that lasts about 20 seconds does sound like a braxton hicks contraction.

  • @Kipperoo, that's crazy that he won't close, especially if people have the ability to work from home at your company! I don't understand these old school bosses. I hope you get to leave early.

  • @jayandaplus it feels mostly like in my groin and lower belly, I'm debating trying a chiropractor.  I get sciatic but it causes numbness through my side and leg.

  • @chickyclg I'm having bad sciatic pain. Do you know what your pain is exactly?
@Kipperoo You have to stay safe! Do what ya gotta do!

@kat81 I was tearing up reading your post! Congratulations to your sister! That's HUGE! We had to do meds, shots, and IUI to get pregnant, and I was prepared it was going to be a long and sad battle. Even at 25 weeks I don't think I can stop holding my breath. I feel for your sister-- four years! And I'm sure it was very difficult for her be supportive of you and also trying to stay positive for another round of IVF. I love hearing infertility success stories, because they are so important! Again, congratulations to her! (I'm going to go cry now.)
Yeah I really feel for all of you who struggle with infertility. It has been EXTREMELY hard on my sister and her husband; it's also exceedingly expensive and they really paid all they had to do it. That is another aspect of this that is so important. I'm with you on not being able to stop holding your breath. I've known she has been pregnant for a while but I felt like I couldn't even say it to an anonymous group until she was farther along. And I wouldn't tell a real life person until she's basically had the kid--it would be totally jinxing it otherwise. And GOOD LUCK to you with everything working out!

  • @chickyclg What about a PT?

Okay, guys. Anyone who's looked into or purchased birthing clothes, what are some you liked? Brands? I'm thinking some kind of bra type thing so I can be in pictures but not feel clothed, and then a "nursing gown" (whatever that is) for after? If I plan to be in the water do I need a separate "bathing suit"?
  • @kat81 So wonderful!! As someone who struggled to get pregnant and hated (not really but kind of) everyone who was getting pregnant around me, including both my SIL, this is such fantastic news!! How great that you two can be pregnant together. Best wishes for her next 6 or so months!!

I ordered 2 bralettes from Aerie. They're both lined. I am planning on wearing one with either a nursing gown or one of the pretty robes I registered for. Milkmaid goods, Pink blush both have pretty robes.
