@wabash15 yes I was tracking and it delayed O to cd24, instead of 19. So I'm currently 14dpo with a 13-15 day LP. She should be here today or tomorrow I'm hoping.

@soontobemammahowe well if AF doesn't show soon, test. My last RE got my hopes up that "clearing the cobwebs" with an HSG is all some women need. It wasn't the trick for us but you never know. Your also more than welcome to hang out with us even if your IUI doesn't end up in feb.

I have my final IUI this week. It's exciting that no matter what happens, it will be a new beginning. Either our first BFP or the new journey into IVF. We'll find out which in about 2 weeks

Looks like I will be having iui 3 on saturday and monday. I go back friday for an ultrasound to make sure things look good. my dr today FREAKED ME OUT. he said i have a lot of follicles and **TW***** mentioned recommending 'reduction' of more than 2 embryos. umm what?! I know that's common to recommend but I was not ready to have that conversation and it totally took me by surprise. Personally I'm not comfortable with that and would rather skip this cycle if there are too many follicles than be put in an excruciating position. FX only 1 or 2 follicles mature and we won't need to worry about that but man, I can't get it out of my head. I'm only on 50 mg of clomid and every month I've had multiple follicles but this is the first month my dr seems concerned. my insurance usually requires 6 iuis but my dr said he could try to push to start ivf if this 3rd iui doesn't take given my history. ugh I'm just so blah about everything right now.

@brooklyngirl18 did he say how many follies you had and what size? I know most RE's won't trigger with more than 4. I think its crazy pants and a bit sketchy that he would consider triggering with more follies than he would like and then deal with selective reduction later on.... I would call and have a conversation before you trigger.

@wabash15 right?? I agree. he said friday we'll have a more in depth convo when we know what exactly we're looking at since it's still a little early. I'm not sure exactly how many but they were mostly around 15-16. the office is closed sundays so the plan is to come in friday for ultrasound and then saturday iui saturday night trigger and iui again monday. my previous cycles I've triggered before iui but he said he didn't want to miss a shot in case I ovulate on my own before sunday.

@wabash15 i see in your siggy you got pregnant with twins on cycle 6 of iui!! that's amazing and gives me so much hope. I am losing hope with each failed cycle.

@brooklyngirl18 IF sucks and is such a hard process. For me there was/is so much hope with a medicated cycle and so much heartbreak when it does not work. TW** we got pregnant on IUI #3 but had a late first trimester loss, then got the twins on our 3rd IUI after the loss. End TW** Though this time we are OOP so I think DH and I decided to give it 3 rounds again and if it does not work then we're done. GL!

I triggered Friday night and supposedly ovulated Sunday morning (ish), but my chart is less that impressive. My temp has hardly gone up at all. Has this happened anyone else? It's giving me crosshairs, but I'm nervous that I had a weak ovulation. here's a link:

AF finally started today around 2:45, of course the people I nanny for were running late getting home so I didn't have a chance to call the REs office to schedule my baseline ultrasound until 3:10 and apparently they close at 3. Ugh. And tomorrow we're supposed to get 8 inches of snow and Friday I babysit and then go straight to a game. Anyone know if they'll do your baseline as late as CD4?

@funnygirl34 my chart is also a hot mess this cycle... I would just ignore it. I'm trying to just trust the process.
@SoonToBeMommaHowe you can do your baseline CD3-5 so hopefully you should be OK

I've done a baseline ultrasound as late as CD 9. But that only works for me since I literally haven't even started producing follicles yet at that point. Stupid body! You should be totally fine with CD 4!

Ok the clinic was open today despite the coming blizzard and I was able to schedule my baseline for 7am tomorrow! Yay for getting this cycle started

Can you guys help me understand the baseline US? What are they looking at/for?

@pawcall they are looking at the number of antral follies, for cysts and to make sure the uterus looks ok. They want to make sure that there isn't something that will prevent moving forward with a medicated cycle

Does it only happen for medicated cycles?

For this (unmedicated) cycle, they did an US at CD8 (because I was having an STP anyway), brought me back in for another US at CD12, and then did IUI at CD13.

@pawcall I don't know the answer to that. I've only done medicated cycles. I guess if your not doing any meds than maybe you wouldn't have to but I think it would still be a good idea. Its interesting, I've never heard of an unmedicated IUI...

I had my baseline this morning, one small cyst but they weren't concerned so I took my first dose of letrozole and will be heading back 2/19 for my first follicle scan. I'm a late ovulator so I doubt I'll be ready by the 19th (cd12) but that's the start of school vacation week so I can go to as many follow up appts as necessary.

officially going in for iui #3 tomorrow and again monday. I've done zero tracking this month, to help my sanity and so far so good. We'll see how well I do in the brutal tww without tracking. eek!

Hi Ladies!
I had infertility issues in 2012. In 2013 after IUI #2 i got my first BFP and had my daughter. Now three years later, we have been trying naturally to conceive and had no luck. I had my first IUI on Jan 29th and AF showed up yesterday. So now I go back to the RE for my baseline on Monday. Trying again for IUI #2. Im on 200mg of clomid day 3-7.

FX to all ladies. We got it this month!

Hi beautiful ladies.
I hate to find myself here, but here I am. 2 failed IUI's and now Im not sure if we will try another round or go straight to IVF. Most likely we will give it one more try.

Every cycle I have 2-3 mature 24mm eggs, my H has 90mil POST wash, my cervix is perfect and yet - no BFP's. The question "WHY" is killing me.

I have lost hope and now Im just dragging along.

But I am very thankful for this forum and for support that I found here, I would have been a mess without you. I hope each one of you will get her BFP. Let the February IUI journey Begin!

@amanda_1182 yes, I'm always concerned about a poor semen sample. We think we have some mild male factor infertility. We usually have less than 3million post wash. I think it was 1.5 million this last time. So we have a back up frozen sample saved just in case.

@Cinnamonn I think a 3rd IUI is worth the try. I of course don't know your history but if the REI thinks it's worth a shot, go for it!

I did my IUI this week and I'm on my 2 week wait. I think I had 2-3 mature follicles this time. Still having clomid hot flashes

Do any of you ladies use progesterone suppositories after ovulation? I'm 6 DPO and stated a few days ago, but it seems the last few times I've inserted it it seems to hit something and can't go in very far. Is it my cervix? Anyone had that experience?

@Funnygirl34 yes its probably your cervix. It just has to be in there, so I wouldn't worry too much about how far. GL girl I'm just 2 days behind you.

Hopping over here since I just failed IUI number 1. On day 18DPO too, so it's been a loooong week! This 2nd medicated IUI is probably the last we are going to do before IVF for a couple of reasons: first, we have insurance that covers it right now that we will lose when we move to another state after May, and second, at 42-1/2, I get nervous about not being more aggressive and then maybe regretting we waited too long to jump to IVF. Having said that, I'm really hoping this second IUI works because IVF sounds like a LOT. So, praying!

@SugarHead- pretty much right after I told you last month that I'd not experienced clomid hot flashes, I started getting them. I'll wake up in the night gasping and throw the covers/my husband off, then be freezing 10 minutes later. Ugh. Hoping I'll get a good night's sleep on CD2.

Slightly nerdy/creepy of me, but put together something to track. I did this last month - I've tried to get it so you can all edit the spreadsheet too, but can't seem to figure out how to do that and keep it anonymous. Grr.

Last month when I did this, we had 13 women tracking, and 3 had BFPs or about 23%, which is in line with the success rates I've read. My hope is (obviously) we have a fluke of a sample group here that has a success rate of 100% amongst the 15 of us... FX FX!

@amanda_1182 I can definitely relate to fears of performance anxiety on the mans part. In sept and nov 2015, we were scheduled for IUI. Both times on the morning of my DH was unable to go on command. It was devastating and really tested us. Fast forward to nov 2016 and we had a successful iui (no bfp) with the use of Preseed and a sexy video. We did iui #2 on feb 9, so hoping this one takes. I had one 23mm follicle and his numbers were great. I will be 39 in a month so hoping this is the one!

Update...I had to cancel my iui last minute this morning because of a family emergency. It seems like anything that can go wrong will. Last month hubby was sick and then this.

I was supposed have my iui at 8am this morning since we couldn't make it we ended up just BD later when we got home but it wasn't until around 7pm... should I even get my hopes up for that?
