Hi ladies,  I have been a long time lurker on the IF board and am about to start an IUI cycle so I thought I would get a Feb IUI thread rolling.  

AFM: most of my history is in my siggy but we have unexplained IF.  We had to do 6 rounds of IUI and got our rainbow twins.  We have been trying on our own for 9 cycles and I am so excited to get back in the game with IUI again.  My baseline looked so good last cycle they are letting me forgo it this cycle.  I'll be doing letrozol and estrace since my lining tends to be thin.  I look forward to getting to know you ladies better and rooting you all on!

I'm just waiting on AF so we can start our first IUI cycle. AF should be here around 2/7-2/9. Then it's Letrozole + Ovidrel + IUI. Our plan is 3 IUI cycles and then on to IVF if necessary. 

Looking forward to knowing some ladies in a similar position

@SoonToBeMommaHowe welcome! I was so antsy for this cycle to start that I did a little happy dance when AF showed up this morning.  Fx all you need is one IUI, though its great that IVF is an option for you if the IUI's don't pan out.

@wabash15 - I am doing an IUI at some point this weekend (or, I hope I am!) - basically the last day of January - so I'm going to stick to that thread, but will be watching this one too. (And hoping I won't need to join at the end of next month, but maybe...)

hi all! I had my clomid check today. Follicle check next Friday. We were supposed to do an IVF in January, but discovered a polyp. Now having insurance issues, so we're headed back the IUI route for Feb.

Hi ladies. I'm back for my second iui. Been TTC since 2013. Had laparoscopy in Nov. 2016 and was diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis. I was very hopefully that our first iui in January would work, but as you can see, it didn't. Hopefully February will be good to us, ladies!

HI All. 
We will be doing an IUI mid-feb. just waiting for AF to start over the next couple days. This will be our 4th one. Clomid 100mg cd3-7. We will only have one more shot if this one isn't successful and then likely IVF if we can get the $ sorted. Good luck to everyone!

@amanda_1182 I'm so sorry your first IUI didn't work.  I alway feel so much hope with a medicated cycle and its such a let down when it does not work.  Hugs.  I'm trying hard to not let my hopes get too out of control for this cycle

@2014mrs GL with this cycle.  I hope that this is the one so you won't have to move on to IVF

Hello ladies!  This is my first post in a long time.  I used to post on the bump when we were trying for #1.  I have PCOS and have very weak ovulation when not on fertility treatments.  I am currently on CD8 (finished 100mg clomid yesterday).  I go in Wednesday AM for a follicle scan and if all looks good we will trigger that night and IUI Friday!

welcome ladies! for those on clomid -- how are you feeling? I'm on day 4 of the 100mg clomid and I can already feel some discomfort in my ovaries. Follicle check on Friday!

I'm feeling very crampy today!  I'm nervous that I'm overstimulating, but I guess there's nothing I can do about it now!  

I felt super tired this cycle too, for some reason.  Maybe the clomid?

I'm in it for this month as well. It's our 6th medicated cycle and should be our last.  I'm on Clomid again and feeling the hot flashes. IUI for next week.    We have our IVF consult next week before our IUI.  I'm excited to be moving on to the next step soon.

@sugarhead GL this cycle. I hope this is it and you won't have to go on to IVF (not that my experience has any bearing on yours but we got our take home babies on IUI#6)

Hi ladies!  (I posted above under StephL which is my old old bump name... but I finally remember my usual account password)...

Anyway!  I had my follicle scan this morning and I have two 14mm follicles and one 12mm follicle.  They want me to trigger Friday evening.  Hope they're big enough by then!  They didn't feel like they needed scan me again for then.

jumping over here now. AF arrived this morning, I'll be going Friday for a baseline and bloodwork and starting up iui cycle 3. hopefully three times the charm!

This is only my second iui so I'm still learning all the "norms". I had my baseline ultrasound this morning and my Dr.saw 2 cysts (1 on each ovary) but said I was good to go for taking clomid and iui this month. He said cysts are normal, but it still concerns me. Do you guys have cysts when you go in for your baseline? Also, what blood tests are run the same day as your baseline? I was tested  for progesterone and a blood pregnancy test today.

@amanda_1182 if the cysts are small than its likely not an issue, but if they grow then it may be problematic. It would be very unusual at a base line US (day3-5) for them to check progesterone. Progesterone if checked is usually checked 7dpo to confirm ovulation and to ensure the level is high enough to maintain a pregnancy. More typical CD 3 blood FSH, prolactin and estrodiol

I had cysts when cycling. My RE said if they produced too much estrodiol/estrogen then I would have to defer my cycle. It happened to me on my first cycle. Usually the cyst is where the follicle was and it hasn't gone away yet. Good luck!!

Hi All! I'm new to these message boards so bare with me
I had a follicle check yesterday for IUI #2 (on CD 12) and I only had 2 follicles measuring about 13mm, so they want me to go back in tomorrow to check again, and if they're at least 17-18mm, I'll trigger tomorrow night for an IUI on Saturday. Last IUI, I had 5 follicles with the dominant ones being 15, 16, and 17.5, and she wanted me to wait a day to trigger—making the IUI 2 days later, so I'm a little nervous for this time around having it be just a day later. Fingers crossed!

@helloitstrisha Welcome! I would not stress about 2 follies! that is a great number for IUI.  All you really need is one but having 2 will decrease your risk for HOM. Something to consider is triggering with 5 follies is the risk of HOM. THough it sounds like maybe only 3 were mature enough... DH and I had a long discussion about the max number of follies we would trigger with. Fx your follies have grown nicely. Don't worry some cycles it just takes a little longer for them to grow. GL and keep us updated

Joining from January IUI board after receiving a BFN on 2/1 (letrozole, trigger, and progesterone suppositories). 

Looking forward to trying IUI #2 this month. AF showed up last night, so hoping to get baseline u/s scheduled for Monday. 

DH and I have been married for 10 years, TTC for 8 years. After finding a doctor we liked, we finally got a referral to see a fertility specialist in June 2017.

I posted my intro on the main page too but thought I'd hop in February IUI after just completing my IUI on February 1st. Now I'm in the dreaded two week wait. I'm hopeful and nervous. This has worked for me in the past and I hope it works again. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!

AFM: I have my follie scan tomorrow, I Hope all looks good. I was worried I had O'd early since my temp had spiked for 2 days but thankfully it dropped back down today.

@wabash15 thank you! Just out of curiosity what precautions did you take/have you taken with factor V? In the past I've done a lovenox/heparin injection daily my 4th IUI so that is the plan this go around too if I get a BFP.

@mandmplus1 I am heterozygous so I have not had to do lovenox, but I do take baby aspirin in the TWW and throughout pregnancy. The plan is to do the same this time around. I think it would be different if I had ever had a clot, then they would probably be more aggressive

I took 100 mg Clomid CD 3-7. Today is CD 8 and I'm super bloated and have had some dull aching in my ovaries and lower back. Are these Clomid side effects?

Yes!  I had similar side effects!  That hopefully means your ovaries are working hard to grow some eggs!  Are you having an ultrasound to monitor your progress?

Glad I'm not alone with the Clomid side effects. I have an ultrasound scheduled on CD 14. Finger crossed for strong follicles!

My goodness I'm still waiting on AF so I can go get my baseline ultrasound and pick up my letrozole. I'm currently on cd38 with typical 32 day cycles, I think my HSG from last month has my body all sorts of confused! But if AF doesn't show her face soon I may not even get a Feb IUI

@soontobemammahowe for some women the HSG can delay O, were you tracking?

AFM: 2 big follies yesterday so I triggered last night and IUI tomorrow morning.
