@TGmomtobe90, the $1 section at my Target had really pretty pink wooden butterfly wall hangings, they'd look great with your theme and I couldn't believe they were so cheap (they might've been $3, but still!).
@ashcicle I can't do bumpers (even breathable ones) or rail covers. It makes me way too anxious. DS was in a crib for 3 years, never had an issue with limbs getting stuck, so we are steering clear again.

My style for boys hasn't changed much since my son(2.5) his name is Archer and it was in mint and soft green with either and wood accents. Lots of arrows and deers!
This is little guys name is Fletcher (the feather on an arrow is called Fletch)
im thinking monochrome black and white modern room. With accents of gray perhaps. I'm just bummed because the rocking chair we have is brown fabric- is sure I can recover it somehow, I'd hate to buy a new one because it's in perfect condition!
I finally got motivated to start thinking about this. I am going to do a mountain mural like someone posted toward the beginning of this thread on one wall, except in purplish greys. I like the idea of having classic artwork on my kids' walls (dd has starry night), so this one will have a big canvas print of a Cezanne mountainscape. Then I'll probably find some kind of wall decal with woodsy animals for another wall. Probably no crib until dd vacates hers, but I might stick a pack n play in there for some naps. The biggest thing I want to purchase for this nursery is a reclining glider. I wanted one soooo badly with dd, but we had no space.
My husband is a die hard Star Wars fan, so I told him if we have a boy we can do a Star Wars themed nursery. Well we're having a boy we're planning on doing something similar to this!
@krschutz I love it! If we were having a boy I would be letting my husband have his Star Wars nursery too. But we're not. I did let him have a Star Wars pregnancy announcement and sex reveal party though!

@caribbeanmama Thanks! Yeah, I built them from scratch (and spent entirely too much $$ in the process). If I were doing it again, I'd probably start with Ikea Drona bins and just cover them. But I am really happy with how they turned out.
My nursery is painted green and I have green and brown bedding with elephants on it from my boys. I don't want to repaint, but if it's confirmed that this is a girl, I'll probably want to get some new bedding and accents to make it more feminine. Any ideas? It's a muted green, but definitely not pastel.
Didn't think of pink and green for some reason, even though my room was pink and green as a kid! I found this name banner, I could make something like that and get pink bedding and call it a day!
Well my in laws took us shopping yesterday for furniture and bedding, and we have everything ordered now! The bedding we fell in love with is actually cream and blush colored (so no lavender like I had initially planned) and I'm going to do gold accents in the decor. Still going to do a Parisian theme and incorporate elephants.
This is the crib and bedding we picked out, but the bedding and accessories are all custom. So the colors are the same but we changed some details of it. The mobile, for example, will have elephants instead of dogs:
We got other furniture pieces in the set to match as well... like an armoire, dresser with changing topper, night stand, and book shelf. I just fell in love with this set when we saw it all set up in the store! Everything should be here in 4-8 weeks!
Anyone else having problems deciding on a theme with their SO? We are on completely different pages. Our oldest has a blue room... I want something different we are having a boy. He wants dark deep colors and I want lighter colors... I am glad we still have months to decide!
Confirmed it's a girl today, now I have to get crafty, because I've totally fallen in love with the pink and green name banner that I posted a picture of up above.
@Ashcicle LOVE those unicorns! And I had my eye on that Jenny Lind crib too as an option! As for mattress, I think I've decided on the Colgate Eco-Classica III. Seems to be very highly rated and made of good, natural materials.

@wifeinraleigh28 that's awesome!! We thought about a Star Wars gender reveal but just went with standard balloons lol my husband even had to sneak in Luke for a middle name
I go through moments where I want to change everything. DH is gonna kill me if I change my mind one more time...but I keep finding things I like better! Thankfully, the only things that I'm currently "iffy" on are a few wall art prints that I bought from etsy...so only a grand total of about $40 or something.
This darn gender scan needs to happen STAT so I can just move forward with a color scheme!
@jennas312 I love your purple/lavender room concept. I personally am a purple girl and love it, but my MIL ruined it for me when she said she loved purple and I should do the babies room in purple. That went right out the window!
We finally figured it out! We are going to do this bedding...with this crib and dresser... skipping the armoire. We already have the grey curtains up in her room that will pull from the stitching on the bedding. And we are going to get a dark grey rocker/ottoman. Now to figure out the rest of the decor
@jennas312 We did a purple nursery for my DD, and now that she is older we are adding in turquoise. I have that same picture pinned for inspiration. Here are some pics of her nursery.
