Nobody has really commented on my bump but to be fair I don't really get out much. DH and I went to a wedding last weekend and one of his friends gf told me I looked great and that my belly was adorable. I almost cried, that small compliment made me feel so happy and so much better about myself. It's the little things. Also, sweet potatoes with marshmallows are delicious but sweet potatoes pie does NOT get marshmallows. The pie is delicious enough to stand on it's own.
In other random happenings, my rings are starting to not fit.
It is weird though; I always assumed just one day they would stop fitting and that would be it. In reality, it varies day to day. I'm wearing them today, but Saturday I could not get them on. I have a lovely emerald DH bought me which I wear on my right hand normally; it is larger, so I've been switching it to my left hand on days my wedding rings won't fit... I look way too young to go around ringless and visibly pregnant.
+1 to looking too young to be ringless. At my AS, I was like the only one there without a significant other (cause my husband had to work and he took off a lot of time for the Jewish holidays so it was too much to leave early from the office for him). So I have a really blotchy/acne ridden complexion so with no makeup on and glasses I look about 18 and a couple sitting across the room from me was obviously trying to see if I was wearing a ring and whispering about me. I almost went over and said something cause it was sooooo rude.
+1 to rings not fitting anymore. My engagement ring is totally too small, and my eternity band is knocking on the door of being too tight. I'm substituting wearing another ring that when husband gave it to me last Christmas was waaay to big, and I kept meaning to get it sized down. Well, glad I never got around to it (lazy) because now it fits perfectly. I'm going to have man hands by the end of this pregnancy
So weird. I've never gotten flack or side-eye for walking around ringless while pregnant. Not with DD in 2013 or now. But maybe I just have that married mumsy look down, so nobody even looks at my fingers. (We're still not married, BTW. Planned for when this one is 2 or so).
Maybe I'm a ss but my rings are actually a lot looser, they always flop to the side and the E ring doesn't stay in the dip the wedding band like it's supposed to anymore. First world probs.

This has been happening to me too. But they were already a little loose to start with, just more so now.
I don't actually know whether my bump is big or small for how far along I am, but I think it's fairly obvious, because I'm narrow-hipped and short-torsoed, so this thing is shooting out in front of me like a cannon. No one I know has said anything particularly odd, but I've had some weird moments with strangers. For example, I was walking to the train on the way home a week or two ago, and some random dude on the street just yelled, "Hey! You're pregnant!" Um, yes, thanks for informing me?

The way my rings fit varies by day and even some during the day. Sometimes they are so tight I don't think I can take them off other times they feel really loose and flop to the side. It was like this before pregnancy so I don't think it's pregnancy related. I only ever take mine off for showers, dishes, or doing something I know will be really messy so I hope they keep fitting or I'll feel really weird without them...

+1 to the dislike of sweet potatoes. Doesn't matter how you cook them, I don't like them.
Along the same lines I don't really like any thanksgiving food, maybe more of an u.o.
My rings are loose right now, I feel like the weather is more of a determining factor of my rings fitting. Last time I was able to wear my ring for the whole pregnancy.
I woke up this morning and I definitely "popped". I thought I had before, but I was so wrong. Part of me was really excited to look noticeably pregnant, but a very stupid part of my brain was actually holding onto thinking that I was going to be one of those people who only looks 3 months pregnant when I was 9 months. Like as if my daughter was going to grow in to my body and not out. I wasn't hoping for that, just somehow I convinced myself that there's no way I'll get bigger. So dumb.
For those using babylist for their registry... does anyone feel like it's a bit too complicated for the older generation? I don't think my mom or MIL would be able to figure out how it works without me explaining it to them.
I will pay all my money to get a 10 minute oil change instead of making an appt that takes an hour or so and I have to schedule it in advance to get a cheaper price. DH doesnt get it.

Yes, it is becoming a pain, but I like it because it is the only way I can put things on Esty or Think geek on my registry. But normally I have to go in and delete something because they forgot to take it off the registry.
@skiingstark I just made mine viewable but if I go and search for myself to see how other people see it... I can't find where they would have my address for the random aunts and uncles who might not have it. Am I missing something?

I cannot search for mine name either I think things got messed up when they took the "." out of their name, but I sent a link so I think that should work.
@skiingstark That part I actually just figured out. Under privacy I had my settings as share links only and I wasn't searchable. I changed it to searchable and now I show up. I meant my home address when people order something. I entered the information in but I can't find it when I view the page as others would. If that makes sense?
@homemake I would it's like other registries like babiesrus etc in the sense of it doesn't just put your address out there and they don't want that info so easy for someone to find but when someone goes to purchase something it inputs your address. Not 100% sure but I would guess that.
@lct2008 that's what I wondered too but then I investigated a bit and acted like I was purchasing something. It links you to the actual website but it doesn't seem to input the address. I could be doing something wrong I'm not sure.
@homemake and @skiingstark My inlaws and parents haven't had a problem with it yet, but it is less mobile friendly than I had hoped. Also, I feel like I'll have to delete a lot of stuff behind the scenes like PP said
OMGGGGG @homemake! I read that and started laughing, so my husband asked what was so funny. I read it out loud to him. All I could think about was how excited I would be for a homemade cookie and then so let down to find out I wasn't getting one. I began uncontrollably laughing, which turned into legitimate full on sobbing, and almost peeing on the couch! My husband came to sit next to me and tried to calm me down because he was concerned the neighbors would call the cops if they heard me!
Oh my goodness... a funny/slightly sad story + pregnancy hormones + 2 hours past my bedtime is not a good combo!
Morning!! Things have been super crazy and I read and lovetit a lot but rarely comment. I am sorry. I feel like I write this same post once a week! Oh well I hope everyone has a good hump day bump day!!!!
Glucose test today. of course I completely spaced on the "please come with breakfast" part of the appointment and for some odd reason thought I needed to come on an empty stomach. So my appointment got pushed back by an hour, I needed to run out and get some breakfast, and I felt like a total dweeb. At least I got to inhale a yummy cinnamon roll (with another one saved and devoured after the appointment)
On the nice sice, my job has a Mother's room/Parent's room* which is 2 workstations and a couch that people can reserve if they need to take care of a kid for a day or can use for a short rest when expecting. Well, the building just got finished this summer, so even though we have this awesome room, it's being used as a storage unit by facility management right now. I have been taking my afternoon naps in our office whenever my office mate wasn't in, which is fine. But Monday the executive assistant from the administrative director "caught" me napping (I'm not hiding that I need a nap, but I'm not running around with a bell saying "It's nap time bishes!!!", either). I told her I was fine with napping in the office. FF to today, and she comes into the office, super proud, about how she told HR to get onto fixing the mother's room NOW because that was simply not acceptable and this needed to get fixed like yesterday. Kinda gives me warm fuzzies about working here
*It's also a first aid room so if someone has a dizzy spell or something they can go lay down there.
@grapeskittles4lyfe I'm so jealous of you. I have to do my glucose on an empty stomach nothing to eat or drink (except water) for 3 hours before the appointment.
I go to bed between 8 and 8:30 and I don't have a kid yet, I'm just exhausted.
@grapeskittles4lyfe I'm so jealous of where you work! I could so use a nap at work but that'd be majorly frowned upon here so I only get naps on the weekends. Might explain my 8pm bed time haha.
