@ibabyloveb87 - my doctor said its really common for FTM to efface first and then dilate... Maybe that's what's going on for you I have my next appt on Tues and im hoping to have made some progress. I was 75% effaced last visit, but on total lockdown otherwise.
@chriscasey33@ibabyloveb87@bnsmith85 I've shared this on here before, but just want to give you all hope. With DS I was 0 cm dilated the day before I gave birth to him. No progress leading up to that. I went into labor naturally at 40w 6d and just did it all at once. So, it can still happen at any time for you!
Due date is tomorrow, appointment on Wednesday. I haven't been checked yet (haven't really been offered), but will definitely ask. I really don't want to go beyond 41 weeks and so I'll probably ask to be induced by then. So either way...no more than 7 days hopefully.
WORF: I did not come here to
admire the scenery.
DAX: If you say so. I guess we should just go
home.
WORF: Well maybe. I would not be so hasty.
DAX: I take it the scenery has improved?
WORF: A few months ago, when I was commanding
the Defiant on a scouting mission in the Gamma Quadrant, we encountered a
protostar cluster, a swirling mass of colour set against a background of
glowing clouds and burning sky. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever
seen, until now.
DAX: I've got to take you on vacation more
often.
I just bought me a pineapple! Debating between straight up or making a smoothie...
Unfortunately DH is Not feeling very amorous these days. Apparently baby being right there and the recent bleeding scare did it for him. Not that I can blame the guy, but six weeks pp seems like forever from now lol.
Due date is tomorrow. Wasn't dilated on Tuesday and don't see my OB again until Thursday... assuming I don't deliver before then. She'll schedule my induction for, I assume, the beginning of the following week since they induce at 41. So I'm still trying all the tricks over here, hoping he comes in the next week on his own!!
I'm so whiny today. My hands are achey and my back hurts and I just want my outside baby I know I'm only 38+2 so I can't really complain when some of you ladies are overdue but I'm going to anyway because I'm sad.

I'm right there with you @MRSCORKER! I'm 38+5 and my texts with my labor buddy always consist of some form of us talking about wanting an outside baby, what we're trying today to make it happen, how what just happened might mean labor soon, and how, if today could be the day... That would be great lol... We'd pretty much be obnoxious to anyone but ourselves at this point lol
@bnsmith85 I tortured myself last night with the spiciest jalapeño pizza on earth. I have no baby but I spent all night and day with horrible heartburn, indigestion and every other horrible GI symptom imaginable. I did lose more of my MP in the middle of the night though. I've decided that walking is the key because both times that I've lost some it it was after a long walk.

@MRSCORKER That's great! Not sure how accurate this is, but my friend said that once you lose the bulk majority of it, you can go into labor in as little as 24 or 48 hours.... It could be longer. But could be that soon! FX that's the case for you!

Another story to give some hope- on Wednesday I was 4 days overdue and zero dilated, on Thursday night I began having contractions and lost a lot of MP, and Friday morning I was in triage with contractions about 3 minutes apart! I was only 1.5 dilated Friday morning, went home and went back to triage around 8:30 Friday night, did an hour of walking and squats and advanced to 3cm and was admitted (and had a baby the next morning!). It can go fast!
@NoraAurora my friend who just had a baby told me the same thing. She was at a zero right until her "real contractions" and labor started. Thanks for the hope. I could still use a couple days rest after stopping work, so she'lol probably come tomorrow! Congrats on your LO
@NoraAurora Thank you, that makes me feel hopeful! I'm 40+5, I've been basically the same for the past few weeks (1.5cm & 80%). Membrane sweep only made me spot and cramp for days, no progress. I've tried to just relax and be patient, I thought I had come to a place of acceptance but last night I was feeling mild contractions. I tried not to get too excited but I guess I did, because they're gone now and I'm so bummed.
TMI but I've pooped like 6 times in 24 hours and now I'm cramping like I have to go but don't. Either my body is getting ready for labor or it's telling me I shouldn't have eaten jalapeños on Friday. Lol
Edited because TB at my post.

@MRSCORKER I'm kind of having the same thing, stomach was having that poopy feeling on and off all day yesterday, then I tried to go to bed and got horrible poo cramps that made my whole stomach super tight so I'm like okay maybe this is it?! Went to the bathroom a couple times and was fine. Think it's probably just something I ate
@MRSCORKER@bnsmith85 I am in the slow boat with yall. I am whiny, and desperate and sad lol. I want her to come when it's time but I feel like my timer went off a long time ago and I physically NEED her out. Come on babies give mama some relief !!
Anyone else feel like this is the "two week wait" when trying to get pregnant? I'd google every random symptom and wonder and obsess. Now I'm doing the same thing but waiting for labor to start!
These sporadic and untimeable contractions aren't helping anything
So he's moved a bit but not nearly as much as usual. We're going to eat an early dinner and I'm gonna chug some juice and give it an hour. If I don't get my required number of kicks, I'm going in. We were about to go for a walk but I'm worried that if he is in distress, walking will make it worse. Ugh, just come out already so I can worry about something else!!

I am in the whiny, everything hurts, I just need baby to come mode. I haven't slept more than 2-3 hours a night for the past two weeks and I'm just plain tired... Which I know won't get better with a newborn but I'm just ready to hold my baby.
Ugh so whiny and cranky today. My toddler is gone st grandmas for the night so we were going to go out for a nice dinner but I feel like death. Of course that's a symptom of labor because when you're overdue EVERYTHING IS A SIGN
Thanks guys. I ate some dinner and drank about 20 oz of apple juice and only got 4 kicks within the hour so I'm going in to be checked out. I'm sure he's fine but I'll worry if I don't go.

I have spent the day washing this baby's stuff for the millionth time and I have to say, IM TIRED OF NESTING! We had so many "signs" on Friday I was sure we would be holding a baby today. The last 24 hours though have been quite boring. Other than the normal aches and pains, all my contractions have just vanished The calm before the storm?? Does that happen?? We shall wait and see of course, but I don't have the energy required to walk any more laps around the neighborhood. I am putting my feet up and watching childbirth videos on YouTube praying somehow their hormones will jump thru the screen and into me lol.
Is it a quiet baby day? My LO is usually a lot more active than he has been today. He's moving and kicking but not nearly as much as normal. It's definitely nerve wracking! Keep us posted @MRSCORKER!!

@sportiegrl1213 I do always enjoy a Sunday nap, so maybe they do too. After my DQ blizzard, Baby B has woken up. This kid loves some dessert. I just hope I stop enjoying them as much once he's out

@MRSCORKER good luck! I had to go in last Monday because my normally super active little guy was having a very quiet morning, even after coffee, juice, and a snack. Once I was hooked up to the monitors he was moving great. I think that early morning is just a sleepy time for him, but it was definitely scary! I felt dumb for going on, but glad I went for peace of mind.
