@Spicyweiner I am very aware of how the group works because I have read almost everything from the beginning, even though I don't contribute! I can't help that you interpret my words as such when I definitely don't intend to come across like that. I'm sure the impression you give off in my interpretation isn't actually how you are either, and that's okay!
Sooooooooo.... you just read and don't contribute? How odd.
It's 3:30 am here and H and I are sitting at the 24 hr emergency vet after we woke up to our dog simultaneously puking & pooping in the bed. Which in turn made me start dry heaving and gagging. It's going to be a long day...

Lol @yogadevil and @Spicyweiner surely you're aware that we have lurkers! Probably dozens and dozens of people who read everything and have never posted. Maybe more? I have no idea.

@MommaBean oh for sure there are lurkers But it's always a bit odd when someone says they've read everything from the beginning and insinuates how well they "know" us.

This is quite....creepy.
I'm aware that people lurk but I don't get why they don't participate. It's like sitting next to a group of people just to eavesdrop on their conversation and add in their two cents randomly.
If you want to lurk, then lurk and don't say anything. If you want to chime in, try participating more. No one takes you seriously and it's pointless to add your opinion (in my mind) because your opinion isn't about adding knowledge to the group- it's because you think your opinion is more important and you need to correct us.
@lfrank12 my dog had the same thing happen like a month ago! She ended up eating something rancid in the yard, I'm thinking a dead animal part, and got super sick. They gave her an IV, some meds and she was on a rice and chicken diet for a week or so. Hopefully it's the same for you!
PS. I'm on Toronto for the weekend and it's 62 and sunny. Whipped out my maternity leggings and boots. OMG heaven. I will pray for fall weather for all of you

SO JEALOUS. It is going to be 90° again here today.
I'm exhausted. Our chili night went so so so well. It was so fun and the food was delicious. Aaaaaand we found out sex of the baby with our friends! It was perfect! I'm just going to AW this. It wasn't the actual moment but my girls did a good job acting it out .
That is a super cute way to announce/find out the baby's sex!! And for some reason I thought your girls were a little older than that. I have 2 sisters, and we are all super close in age (currently 29, 28, 27) and as we got into our teens and still today we pass around our clothes to each other. Depending on whose closest in size at the moment lol. I hope it's as fun raising 3 girls as what I remember growing up!!
We ended up being up all night and having to take our pup back to the ER vet again this morning. They did an X-ray and found the GI issues were just a side effect of pneumonia. They are doing blood work and we will know in two hours if he has to stay overnight in the isolation unit. Needless to say my sleep deprived hormonal self cried the entire way home today thinking of him laying sick alone all night But I am happy now that we know what was making him so sick. Thanks for all the good thoughts guys!
Oh no @lfrank12! The thought of your dog laying all alone made me tear up too. It's for the best though and will help him get better...fingers crossed on a speedy recovery! Poor pup!
@lfrank12 I can't even imagine how hard that must be for you! Sending positive feel better thoughts to your pup for a speedy recovery!
@Gretchypoo it's going to be 90° here too but we're in an miserable place where it's in the 60's in the early morning/late evening, but in the 90's and 100's in the middle of the day, yet the leaves are still falling. The leaves can't fall yet! It has to be cooler!!
Lol @yogadevil and @Spicyweiner surely you're aware that we have lurkers! Probably dozens and dozens of people who read everything and have never posted. Maybe more? I have no idea.
Of course I'm aware that we have lurkers. But for someone to say they have read EVERYTHiNG and don't contribute or participate? That's effing weird.
Guys, I have contributed a few times before but got my head bitten off so stopped. Happened again so I'm going to go back to just reading. There is a bunch of valuable information in here but I don't feel the need to share every random thought or detail about my life and I don't have any experiences to share as a FTM. Some people are different like that, would be nice if it could be appreciated as well. This will be my last board post. May pm if I have further questions, feel free to ignore me if this bothers you. Good luck with all of your pregnancies I wish you all the best!
@kswiger06 the oldest and youngest will be 5.5 years apart. Born in 11, 13, and 17. So a little bit of a bigger gap than the first two. I'm so elated and feel super content/settled about being DONE. My H isn't so convinced though.
DD1- Aug11 Angel Baby- June13, said goodbye Oct12 DD2- Aug13 DD3- due Feb17
You guys! I'm so sad that it was 37 degrees here this morning and so many of you are saying it's in the 90s where you are! Ill send some of the fall weather your way, because summer is done here. It's going to be snowing here in the next few weeks, I'm sure of it!
On a separate topic, how many of you have had (or are planning) a gender reveal party? we get to find out the gender on Thursday so I decided at kind of the last minute to have a party this Friday. How did you reveal gender? With my son I bought pink & blue balloons and put tiny holes in the pink balloons so they wouldn't blow up, then everyone blew up their balloons at once. It was fun. I'm thinking this time neutral color balloons with confetti and everyone gets to pop one all at once. But I'm not dedicated to this idea yet. I want to hear some other ideas if you have any! Thanks!
@rmpiszczek it's still warm here, in the 80s but I saw Tuesday will have a high of 64... I'm not too pleased lol
We haven't told anyone the sex of the baby yet (the preferred term here is sex) and I don't think we'll do any kind of reveal party. I know a couple people on here have done small get togethers, but they can share the details if they want. I was going to tell you that a while back we had a whole thread about reveal parties, and it had all sorts of comments. A lot of people at the time were against the reveal parties, but there are still some ideas in there. If you use the search function, the thread is titled "gender reveal party" I like your alternatives with the balloon ideas though!! I hope your party turns out well!
@lfrank12 aw I'm sorry about your pooch! Rest assured they will give plenty of love and comfort to your pup. Hoping they get her/him back to feeling better ASAP!
So my city just sent out a text alerting everyone to boil their water prior to consumption until further notice. I get this after downing my Nalgene water bottle full of our tap water from the fridge. Wonderful. TF?!

Lurkers: say hi and participate already!

Thats my take, at least.
