@sjo_thetwins Either way, you're going to have TWO virgos on your hands. Good luck with that
Is that bad?? I thought Virgos were good! I'm a Scorpio though, so I assume all other signs are easier than me. And SO is a Pisces so she's like the easiest ever. Tell me these Virgo secrets! Lol

Haha, it's not bad at all. Virgos can be a little controlling, overly analytical, and hyper organized but I think we're pretty cool and we get shit done!

I know its been so long since I have posted but I am neurotically checking this thread even though I am so behind on the others. Congratulations to the lovely mamas and sweet bundles who have made their entrance into this world. Wishing all you Mamas who are actively laboring or having symptoms peace and strength.
Happy Birthday @MRSCORKER! I am another Virgo here who just celebrated my 30th yesterday. I'm so happy to have shared my day with the couple new sweet little's announced. Tears of joy for your precious bundles!
So, I've been searching and searching for Raspberry Leaf tea in a store around me and nothing. I can only order it online. Well, today, I was staring at the RASPBERRY BUSHES in my backyard and though... "Wait... Raspberry leaf? Raspberry leaf TEA?" Did some Googling and have just brewed up my first batch of tea!
I feel like such a doof for not realizing it sooner that I could have just been picking leaves off my bushes and making tea. So here's to my first cup! May labor come smooth and easy!
@Mintz1982 why not go to Southlake in Newmarket? They are able to deliver at 32 weeks I believe they said (maybe 34?) cause that's where I'm going and I had my prenatal class and remember thinking "oh if I go into labour now I'm safe to deliver here" and that was August 19.
Married 11-11-11 TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year. BFP 02-15-16 with our first IT'S A BOY!!!

Also, congrats to all the new mamas!
I don't know if it helped (evidence-based wise, the jury is still out), but I drank two quarts of RLT a day (4 teabags in 2 qts). Baby dropped the day after I started (36 weeks) and came at 37 weeks 5 days. I thought labor and delivery was relatively quick and easy. Even though it was painful, I was able to do it med free. I would use it again next time.
@LauraPCOS Newmarket is still 2 hours almost from Collingwood barrie has a minor NICU and Orillia even though it's a dirt town has a decent NICU for from 30 weeks and up my sons Pediatrician works from there. At least then it's only a little over an hr and Barrie is 45 minutes. I'm still home pains were 10 minutes apart most of the day still at about that I just had a shower trying to drink and lay down but feeling very ill at the same time. DH wants to me time it for another hour or so and if they keep going I guess I'm going to the hospital if I can just make it to Monday our hospital will take care of us both. Grr living in a tiny town.

I drank it when I was pregnant with DS1. He didn't arrive until a week last his due date, which lends to the evidence that RRLT doesn't induce labor, but makes the uterus stronger and contractions more efficient.
I will say, the nurses all commented they couldn't believe how quickly my uterus contracted back to its normal size after delivery. Every time a nurse checked, she commented. So, maybe it had to do with the tea? And, presumably my contractions were just as strong during labor.
I've been drinking it this time around, too. I actually start craving it every day.
I ordered mine online this time around. It's available at a local health food store near me, but it's more expensive. So, I just made a bulk order in 2nd Tri.

Oh, I definitely think it helps. I drank it starting around 35/36 weeks with my other kiddos and I did have really easy labors. I'm hoping it will start helping a little.
I'm getting a little jealous of all the ladies due around the same days as me and having babies! I did have my last two around 39 weeks though, so hopefully this Friday/Saturday will be my lucky day!
For those of you who have drank RLT during pregnancy... When did you start and how much did you drink? I was planning on drinking the tea all along because I've heard it helps make labor easier and I enjoy tea so can't hurt, right? But then I read it could possibly trigger labor, so should I not start drinking it until I'm wanting to go into labor? 37+6 and hoping to make it to at least 39 weeks.

I started drinking it in 2nd tri. One cup a day (not religiously, though because I'm forgetful). Up to 3 cups in 3rd tri. Did the same with DS1, and he was born at 41 weeks on the dot.
@blonde1817 I started it at 14 weeks (per my midwife). I've only done one cup a night until this point but I'm going to ask my midwife tomorrow if I should up my cups.
I actually am skipping the RRLT and using gentle birth oil instead. It's got the same properties and then some more things in it. I took it with DD2 and even though both kids were a c section I healed up 100x quicker and had no PPD. Who knows for sure if I can give that oil credit or not, but still I figure it can't hurt that's for sure.

I don't think it will actually put you into labor. Maybe if you drink a TON. But it is supposed to help prep/strengthen the uterus and make labor easier once you are actually in labor. With my first three, I started drinking it around 35/36 weeks. Just one cup a day, then around 38 weeks, I bumped it up to three cups a day. All my labors were really easy (the last two were also really fast!). Plus my uterus shrunk back relatively quickly. I was also nursing which helps that too.
Thanks for the feedback ladies! I decided to start drinking the RLT today, probably one cup a day for a few days and then moving up to three cups. It can only help, and at the very least it's hydrating!
Still pregnant. But today I walked around the neighborhood, walked around the grocery store, cleaned the house, and made a cheesecake.
Contractions are back and trying to find a routine I think! Who knows, I think I'll probably be pregnant forever and end up on Ripleys Believe it or Not.

My husband and I are both Virgos. I'm on the Leo cusp and he's on the Libra cusp. Now we have a daughter nearer to the middle. I keep joking our house is likely to (figuratively) burn to the ground with the three of us in it. Way too much Virgo energy!
