@Griffin5413 I was just reading my instructions that my OB gave me initially and saw he advised I schedule a tour around at 23-24 weeks. This made me think how that's so soon, it's really hard to believe! I'm glad you had a good experience. It's important to be comfortable and confident in a hospital where you'll be delivering, so I'm glad you feel happy about them.

Tulips29 - yeah we felt good about it. Originally my OB said to wait until 3rd trimester but the next few months are so crazy we went now b/c we could get an evening appointment. Now on to figuring out when to take childbirth classes

@griffin5413 yeah I will definetly be talking with my lactation nurse about it because I really would like to breastfeed. That's so exciting about your hospital tour!! Ours isn't for a while still.

Ordered my baby shower invitations today and officially booked it with my mom. It'll be oct 23!! So excited for it!!

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend. So, should I be scheduling a hospital tour soon? My doc also suggested looking for a pediatrician too. We painted the nursery and put the crib together today.

@Joyzie77 so nice! What wall color is that? I'll be scheduling my hospital tour in a few weeks, even though my OB only delivers at 1 hospital. But I think it's good to get familiar with it anyway, even if it's just knowing what entrance and floor to go to and what their rooms are like.

Joyzie77 - my OB said it wasn't necessary until the 3rd trimester but we have so much going on in the next 2 months that I didn't want to wait until it was too late. I love the color of your walls for the nursery. B/C we are moving in Nov, I haven't even begun to get nursery furniture or think about wall colors. LOL.

I've been busy since the school year has started and I'm back at work. I'm pretty tired, but that's typical this time of year. The last few weeks I've had discomfort near my hip joint. One of my friends said there are stretches that are good for that. It seems to be a little better. I've been feeling pretty good, but just a little more a hey at the end of the day since I'm on my feet a lot. That may change towards the end of the pregnancy.

I felt something today, and it might be the baby. I guess I will pay attention to see if I get the same feeling more consistently. I guess I will know more next week at my 20 week ultrasound.

I'm almost finished registering, so things are coming along. I hope everyone is feeling good. I learned that a few people I work with are pregnant as well and pretty close to my due date. So it will be nice to talk to others at the same stage. Many others are asking how I'm feeling and giving me special treatment (like offering their seat for me.) I don't need it yet. Aside from the normal craziness of this time of year, I have enjoyed the special attention I've gotten over the pregnancy.

Happy Friday everyone! I posted this on the 2nd tri board, so figured I'll post here as well. We had our anatomy scan this week (2 of them since the baby wasn't cooperating first time around to get all the pictures needed) and it went well. We have a very active mover on our hands already, so I'm already wondering if he'll be a handful when he's born. I think I'm starting to feel something inside and hope it's movement. I felt some tapping about 2 weeks ago, but nothing really since that I thought was definitely him, although I'm not sure. Today I'm feeling slight rumbling-like feelings in there. I can't wait to feel constant kicks soon!

@LynnNJ like you, I also have friends who either recently had babies or are pregnant, so it's nice to finally be able to connect on that level and have kids close in age. Now that everyone at work knows I'm pregnant, people are asking me more how I feel and are being more considerate, which I admit feels really nice

@Tulips29 Since getting the scan done yesterday, Wee has been WAY more active (or I'm just more in-tune now.) Little blurbles all day yesterday and he's keeping it up today.

Yay!! I'm glad every one is starting to feel baby! I knew it was him at right around 20 weeks. I LOVE feeling him move around. Little gurgles are exactly how I would describe the first few movements. Feeling him move is the one thing that has helped me keep my anxiety at lower levels (we won't talk about how I start to feel if I haven't felt him for a little while - this kid is going to hate me b4 he even comes out because of all the poking!)

So my husband figured me out. For my last apt w the RE he told me to bring my syringe containers w me so they could dispose of them. I put them in my dresser drawer instead. I could not part w them. He was in my dresser looking for something for me and found them. He is utterly confused as to why I can't part w them. Honestly I am not sure either, I just can't. Not yet.

@vssbrm I am weird about some of our stuff too. I haven't thrown away my calendar of meds yet, and I still haven't thrown away the leftover Lupron and Follistim.

@vssbrm I'm the same way. I still have all my leftover meds and some are still sitting in the fridge. My husband keeps asking me to throw them out, but I feel like I just can't for some reason. Over the weekend we were doing some deep cleaning and I found a bag with all the needles I took on vacation with me that have just been sitting in the closet for 3 months now. At first I went to throw them out but then I just stashed them back in the closet. I think it's partly me still having the "what if I'll need them again" thoughts and if I throw them out I'll jinx myself. I know it's crazy though. I think once the baby comes I'll get rid of all that stuff since it'll expire before I'm ready for #2 anyway.

i parted with my meds at week 13 after we announced that's when it hit me and finally felt real. At that point I forced myself to give away my meds. But yes it's hard...so hard. I've been getting some baby stuff from friends here and there so starting to collect things in our storage room. Our nursery needs a lot of work and I don't know if it'll be ready on time. We haven't even started working on it yet. So far we got the snap n go stroller and the piano mat. And my registry is finally complete. 193 items. Lol. Waiting for my invitations to come in for the baby shower.

@Drove2u whoa! 193 items, how did you manage? lol...I'm struggling to complete mine. I have no idea what to add, even though I have a checklist of general items. But I don't know what bottles, what pacifiers, etc. I'm thinking of just looking up a random registry to copy or get ideas from.

Lol @tulips29 I did some I store and some online. I've been working on it and refining for a month now. So I'm pretty much set. I copied some of my friends registries. Also my parents live three hours away and we will be spending a lot of time there so needed some doubles. As friends pass things on to me I take it off the registry too.

@Drove2u We did a lot of errands today and then have just been playing WoW this evening. Tomorrow we are going to work on my costume for the Renaissance Festival. Definitely stay inside with weather that hot!!

I had my 20 week ultrasound yesterday. it was amazing to see how big the baby got. He was sucking his thumb.

Yes, I am definitely feeling movement and kicking from the baby. For the first time tonight, I think he was kicking my bladder. That was a little uncomfortable, but I'll put up with it since I'm so happy to feel him active in there.

Because I have a slight heart murmur and the ultrasound technician didn't get a good view of part of the heart, we elected to have an echo cardiogram. The heart murmur hasn't caused me any problems, but I'd just rather know what the situation is with the baby. We'll find out in October.

Lots of exciting stuff is happening!

My mom was playing around with some center pieces for the shower. Instead of orchid were planning on a pink rose and baby's breath. Still deciding on cupcakes/cakes and favors.

@Joyzie77 doing well here. Also starting to plan my baby shower. My SIL has kindly offered to throw me one, so I have been working on my registry all weekend. We have an empty room that will be the nursery and I've been debating for the longest time if we should repaint it. It's a sunflower yellow color that was chosen before we were even pregnant and my husband thinks it'll be fine for a baby boy. I'm leaning towards leaving it as is and just neutralizing it with grey colored furniture and accents. How have you been?

Well I have not posted in here in a while figured I would now. Finally got DH to move his office to the basement now we just need to move a few things out of the babies room hopefully we can paint this weekend I'm really pushing DH because I feel that with twins they could come early and I want the room set up before our shower on November 6. We also set up our photo shoot for October 15 I can't wait hopefully by then I will be showing more. Glad to see all you ladies are doing great it's hard to believe I will be 24 weeks in a few days

Tulips29 - yellows and grays are super cute and there is so much out there right now for that.

We are doing our baby shower out in CA since that is where all of our family is. My mom and MIL/SIL are all throwing it together. I have had very little input which I'm pretty ok with. My mom is going crazy with all of her ideas so I'm a little afraid there are going to be too many themes going on.. but at least she's having a good time with it. lol.. It's Oct 9 which is kind of early in the 3rd trimester but because we are traveling 6 hours, I had no desire to go out there any later than that. Now I'll just have to figure out how to get everything back to AZ.

We just found out our house isn't going to be finished until closer to Thanksgiving which is a little bit of a bummer. We were supposed to close end of October. The closer we get to December, the closer we are to my due date and I'm worried we won't have anything ready for this baby (especially if he comes early). We can't buy any of the furniture or anything big right now b/c we don't have space in our apartment for it. This mama is ready to nest and I can't! lol.

@Griffin5413 I hope you get to close soon and start getting everything prepped. Moving is stressful as is, so you don't need the added worry of a later closing. Hope it all goes well. At least your shower is well under way, so just relax until it's here. Hope you can at least nest in your apartment for now

@ultratomato I want to schedule a shoot as well, but keep thinking I'm not big enough yet for the pretty preggo pictures. But later on it'll be cold here. Ah, the struggles lol. Show us some pics if you don't mind when you get them done!

Hi All - Wife is due 1/9/17. 24 weeks today. She hasn't felt movement for two days now. Is that normal? I've read that daily movement should be felt by week 28, before then it could be intermittent? Just wondering if you all have experienced a similar scenario. Thanks!

@jpangia I'm 23 +3 and feel movements every day. If you are feeling nervous about it I would def try to get into the doc, a quick heart check is way better than worrying about it! Keep us posted.
