Do you guys think if one of us took the text, copied it and reposted it as a new thread, that the @BumpAdmin would contact the new poster about whatever needed to change? Rather than trying to change the original version of this post? I know we don't want to start a million posts, but maybe that would work?
They haven't PMd saying they want anything changed. I've PMd them 11 times now about this thread, and they haven't responded to any PMs.
ETA: Also, @antoto HIIIIII! Love you guys, miss you guys!
@izza2 yeah i saw you said that...but others were saying you can't edit anything after a month anyway, so even if they want something changed, you wouldn't be able to go back and edit it, you know? So I thought maybe a restart and an immediate PM to @BumpAdmin might do something...just an idea
I immediately PMd them when I first made the thread. I actually PMd them (@BumpAdmin@BumpCaitlin@BumpTara) every day that first week, sometimes twice a day. At this point, just copying and pasting it and PMing them won't do anything but make another thread that will need to be bumped for forever until they decide to listen to us. If they come back to me and want something changed, I'll let you guys know. I haven't been on in a while, but I'll pop in more frequently to bug them on a regular basis like I was initially.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
I sent a not-so-nice e-mail to customer service. We'll see if that facilitates a response.
If not, I'm going to assume I'll get banned so... byeeeee lol
I emailed them about something else like 6 months ago. Honestly don't remember what, so now I want to dig through my outboxes to see what it was. But, they never responded to that either. I remember sending them a follow up and they ignored that. They have zero customer service skills, apparently.
Stickied under the condition that if BGs notice that the board turns unwelcome that it's unstickied and the old one is put up. So yeah. After like 5 weeks it's done, but only with conditions.
In your second month, it’s time to learn about cervical mucus (CM). It sounds gross, but it’s really not, and cervical mucus is an important part of understanding your own fertility.Your body secretes different amounts of fluids depending on where you are in your cycle. If you can identify the type of fluid that is most conducive to conceiving, then you can better pinpoint the best time to have sex.
Not sure why you think this is new information, but CM/CF is talked about on a daily basis around here.
Also, I think you missed this on the first page of this post:
1. We do not start ss (speshul snoflake) threads about ourselves. Instead, we use the dailies to talk about things we are going through or to ask questions we might have.
2. We do not mention children in any of the daily threads. That goes in the TFAS threads only. The only exception to this rule is that it can be mentioned in the TTCAL thread. It can also be mentioned in the TWW or WTO threads as long as it meets these two qualifiers: A. It's extremely pertinent to the conversation--please use your best judgment and always place sensitivity over your need to post it. For example, if you think it might hurt someone to mention it, don't do it. It's impossible to know 100% of the time if someone might be hurt by it. If you are called out on it, the best thing to do is to apologize, edit, and move on. B. It must be in a spoiler
3. We do not change the daily thread formats unless a thread is started about a possible change where members can discuss it and then a poll will go up to vote on a possible change.
4. The benched thread is for members who are forced to wait to ttc, forced to stop ttc, or forced to avoid for reasons beyond their control. If you are are just starting out and thinking about ttc but don't want to yet, it's best to just lurk since TTGP stands for Trying To Get Pregnant. You can join a different board called Babies On The Brain https://forums.thebump.com/categories/babies-on-the-brain
5. Everyone is guilty of this from time to time, but this needs to be said. If you have an issue with a member here, it is best and most mature to take it up with them in a private message rather than airing it in public. Many members login to TTGP via mobile so tag them in a thread and type "YGPM" so they will know there is a private message in their inbox.
6. Please be mindful about members who may be adopted, know people who are adopted, have been in foster care before, or know someone who has. Making remarks about it because TTC is frustrating and treating adoption or fostering as a last resort can be very hurtful to them.
7. We do not announce bfps in TWW threads, even if it is in a spoiler.
8. Last, but not least, when TTGP Grad threads are created weekly, read the instructions for posting there very very carefully and keep in mind that being here for only a few cycles and getting KU, it would be hurtful to post in that thread. It's best to just move onto your BMB. The women who know you and your story will come over there to love tit your posts or send you a private message to ask what you're up to if they haven't seen you post in a minute.
Someone correct me if I need to edit something I've said here or add your own.

@suzycupcake I understand what you were trying to do, but quite honestly, don't agree with the way that you went about it. And just so it's clear, I'll address each of your points separately. But first, I want to make sure that it's understood that this thread wasn't created one day because someone was bored or just wanted to get the rules/guidelines of the board down. This thread actually replaced another one and was compiled after quite a bit of discussion among all of the then regs on the board (as well as some of the grads, if I understand correctly) and was voted on with the points agreed on by a certain percentage of members added in here. If you are interested in changing this thread, then I suggest you start a discussion about it. However, before you go rallying to create a new pinned thread, I urge you to remember a couple things. First, it can be pretty difficult to get the BGs to unsticky an old thread and sticky a new one; it took about 6 weeks for them to agree to sticky this one. Second, this board is in a constant state of flux and the above items may change in the next 6 months. And honestly, I hope that they do because it would mean that many of my friends have gotten their BFP and moved on. As always, the number one rule of this board is and always will be to LURK!
1. We do not start ss (speshul snoflake) threads about ourselves. Instead, we use the dailies to talk about things we are going through or to ask questions we might have. The people who post the ss threads that you mention here are the ones that don't read this thread; and if they do, I doubt they will read every single comment and reach this at the end. And even if they do, I very highly doubt they'll pay any attention and still post their super important question because they feel it is important enough to warrant it's own thread. In addition, there are some times that it's ok for someone to start their own thread; for example when it's a situation that is likely to get more attention from lurkers who probably wouldn't see it in the weekly questions thread
If you are called out on it, the best thing to do is to apologize, edit, and move on. B. It must be in a spoiler This is something that was changed after some discussion (although it wasn't voted on after the last discussion) and is most likely going to be fluid on this board. If you were to look back at the original discussions for this thread, only 8% of the members then said that mentioned children needed a TW. Unfortunately since then, the amount of TTCALers and TTCIFers has increased which caused many people to be uncomfortable with the very casual mentions of existing children in the daily threads. And, if I'm being completely honest, it was pretty passive aggressive to change the daily threads so that it's highlighted. If someone inadvertently mentions children without the TW and spoiler, they are asked politely to do so and it likely won't happen again. Many of these people were on the board previously and are still getting used to the "new" rules.
3. We do not change the daily thread formats unless a thread is started about a possible change where members can discuss it and then a poll will go up to vote on a possible change. Funny, the last couple changes to the daily threads (adding the blurb at the top about TW/spoiler for children and adding the LP length) weren't voted on. One of them was discussed among the board as a whole, but not voted upon. Although I do agree that yes, these things should be agreed on by the majority
4. The benched thread is for members who are forced to wait to ttc, forced to stop ttc, or forced to avoid for reasons beyond their control. If you are are just starting out and thinking about ttc but don't want to yet, it's best to just lurk since TTGP stands for Trying To Get Pregnant. You can join a different board called Babies On The Brain https://forums.thebump.com/categories/babies-on-the-brain While I agree that those who aren't TTC yet shouldn't post in the benched/TTA check-in, I also don't completely agree that someone who is waiting to TTC but still tracking in an effort to get to know their bodies should be banned from posting here. I've known multiple people who spent time on the board prior to TTC and became well-liked, supportive, and respected members. However, if someone is TTA because they want to make sure they aren't KU for a vacation or because their H isn't quite in board yet, then I absolutely agree that BOTB is the better place for them
I don't agree with this in the slightest. If a regular member says/does something out of line, they should be called out for it. First of all, if one person is upset/bothered by a person's post then it's likely that at least one other person is. Not to mention, it alerts others exactly what the problem is so that they don't repeat it.
6. Please be mindful about members who may be adopted, know people who are adopted, have been in foster care before, or know someone who has. Making remarks about it because TTC is frustrating and treating adoption or fostering as a last resort can be very hurtful to them. I have no arguments about this, but iIf someone is saying anything near to this, they need to be called out. End of story
7. We do not announce bfps in TWW threads, even if it is in a spoiler. This is mentioned in the OP so I'm not quite sure why you felt the need to post it again.
8. Last, but not least, when TTGP Grad threads are created weekly, read the instructions for posting there very very carefully and keep in mind that being here for only a few cycles and getting KU, it would be hurtful to post in that thread. This is another of those things that's fluid. When I started on this board, many of the grad posts were by those that had been trying 4 cycles or less and a 1/1 wasn't necessarily chided for posting. But as with the children conversation, because of the increase in TTCALers and TTCIFers, seeing the BFP of those that haven't tried nearly as hard/long is difficult on many of the members here. The grad thread intro has the guidelines listed and if someone chooses to disregard them, they should get called out.
Someone correct me if I need to edit something I've said here or add your own.

1. In addition, there are some times that it's ok for someone to start their own thread; for example when it's a situation that is likely to get more attention from lurkers who probably wouldn't see it in the weekly questions thread.
This needs to be explained clearly. What sometimes and situations is it okay to do this? Or is it the kind of thing that nobody will know until they do it and learns that someone has taken issue with it?
2. This is something that was changed after some discussion (although it wasn't voted on after the last discussion) and is most likely going to be fluid on this board. If you were to look back at the original discussions for this thread, only 8% of the members then said that mentioned children needed a TW. I disagree with the accusation of me being passive aggressive since going a step further than bolding a text to highlighting it is one and the same. There have been a lot of call outs in that thread for that part that was highlighted so I did it to help people out. If it has offended/upset/bothered you, then we can discuss that.
3. Funny, the last couple changes to the daily threads (adding the blurb at the top about TW/spoiler for children and adding the LP length) weren't voted on. One of them was discussed among the board as a whole, but not voted upon. Although I do agree that yes, these things should be agreed on by the majority. I wasn't aware of this. I remember a long time reg adding it to that thread. Several members became upset when it was reposted one week with the deletion of that text. Since this text was as you said, never voted on, then it should be brought to a poll.
4. While I agree that those who aren't TTC yet shouldn't post in the benched/TTA check-in, I also don't completely agree that someone who is waiting to TTC but still tracking in an effort to get to know their bodies should be banned from posting here. I've known multiple people who spent time on the board prior to TTC and became well-liked, supportive, and respected members. However, if someone is TTA because they want to make sure they aren't KU for a vacation or because their H isn't quite in board yet, then I absolutely agree that BOTB is the better place for them. Maybe this is another thing that should be brought to a poll since there are members who disagree with allowing people who aren't trying to get pregnant, to post in that thread.
5. I don't agree with this in the slightest. If a regular member says/does something out of line, they should be called out for it. There are times to call someone out in public for a teaching moment but I was speaking more to the continuing battles between members.
First of all, if one person is upset/bothered by a person's post then it's likely that at least one other person is. Not to mention, it alerts others exactly what the problem is so that they don't repeat it. I don't agree with this and this is going beyond general call outs for teaching moments. Call outs shouldn't be based on the fact that at least one other member will be upset/bothered by a person's post. It should follow the rules/guidelines/if you could tell a newbie anything threads as much as possible. If someone posts something and their post is love titted by ten people and then a couple of people call them out with generally the same amount of love tits, then what? It is unreasonable to expect every person here to post with every single member in mind, all of the time, so as not to offend anyone. If we play that game, then none of us would ever be able to post here. It's better to say that some are going to be bothered/upset and some won't be, but if someone calls you out, it doesn't mean the rules have changed. Instead, it means that you should keep that person in mind from now on when you want to post about said subject/whatever.
For example, you have Lady A-Lady Z. Lady A says something (received 10 love tits) that upsets/bothers Lady B (receives 15 love tits). Lady B, Lady M, and Lady R calls out Lady A for what she said. They each receive a certain amount of love tits. Lady A responds to defend herself and receives love tits. You said calling out alerts others exactly what the problem is so that they don't repeat it. If everything is so subjective and it depends upon someone's feels being bothered, then in this scenario, what problem is there that others need to be alerted to so that they don't repeat it?
6. I have no arguments about this, but iIf someone is saying anything near to this, they need to be called out. End of story.
I agree.
7. This is mentioned in the OP so I'm not quite sure why you felt the need to post it again. This would be fine except it doesn't match up with the If you could tell a newbie anything thread which is linked to in this thread. There are many old members who are saying it is appropriate to announce it in the TWW threads.
I disagree with this. If this is going to be a fluid thing, then the rules in that thread should change to reflect the fluidity. They are not clear with the tone of the current board.
1. Ask your heart if you have contributed positively here. 2. Do these people know you? Will they be happy about your pregnancy? 3. Have you offered support to others or have you just blasted your own info out there? 4. Really, if you're a 1/1 or a 2/2, maybe just move on. Even if you have participated daily for one month and offered tons of support. Sometimes the silence is kindest. Those of us who lurk BMBs will see your intro and PM/comment/love tit. 5. Again, take a moment and step away from your excitement and ask your heart if posting would be potentially hurtful.
For example, these instructions mention that if you have participated daily for one month and offered tons of support, then sometimes silence is kindest. First, people are getting called out for being here for a few months and posting in the grad threads even though they meet the criteria for 1, 2, and 3. Second, "sometimes" the silence is kindest is too subjective.
@lulu1180 my comments are bolded with your responses above them. I do know that someone didn't create this thread because they were bored one day. It is not my intention to change this thread, but there do need to be updates from time to time since everything is so fluid, as you say. We can't keep referring newbies to this thread that links to if you could tell a newbie anything thread and expect them to lurk back three years to see what old rules contradict the "new rules" (as you said)/current tone of the board. That's unreasonable.

No @tamalahoops It absolutely wasn't. I actually got called out for this one myself awhile back by one of the regs (though it was discovered that it wasn't what I meant and things became amicable) as well as I've seen some newbie ladies who have only been trying for a few cycles who don't experience IF talk about it in this way.
There would be no reason for this to be directed at you. I reached out to you in a private message to ask you questions about this as you know and have been completely in agreement about you updating about it in the IF thread. Also you know that you aren't the only hopeful adoptive parent on this board And cheers! I'm right there with you tonight. Well, every night really

Not sure why you think this is new information, but CM/CF is talked about on a daily basis around here.
Also, I think you missed this on the first page of this post:
"Cervical Fluid (CF) and Cervical Position (CP)
If you are having a hard time discerning the differences in your cervical mucus and cervical position, you are not alone. Here are a few threads that should help you figure it out:
The Cervix Feels Like A Penis
Beautiful Cervix (NSFW)
How To Detect CP and CM For Your Charts"
Married: 05/27/2017
TTC #1 since 08/07/2017

It can also be mentioned in the TWW or WTO threads as long as it meets these two qualifiers:
