  • @SawyerRichardson where did you get your bras? I forgot how awful my maternity bras were from my first pregnancy. It's so hard to find ones that fit when I'm a size 34 G during pregnancy.
  • Btw @foxrosy there was a thread called "boobs" a few weeks ago where bras were talked about quite a bit. I need to go back through it and research the brands, but it seemed like a great resource!
  • Oh yes! Thank you @Patience7150. I didn't look at that one but I will check it out.
  • Well, I bit the bullet and ordered two new bras from Bravado (thanks to the books thread for that suggestion). They were not cheap but at this point I cannot keep squeezing into my "good" bras every time I have to leave the house.
Rainbow baby Dean is due 2/17/17!
  • @grapeskittles4lyfe Where did you find that purple dress? I <3 it!
  • @grapeskittles4lyfe I'm loving that burgundy dress!

    @AfKash
The brand is called Envie de Fraises - they have stuff on Zulily like every one or two months :)

  • @NiceyMeany got my target flannel shirts today and I'm in love! I bought it in two colors and H wants me to keep both because they look so cute. Thanks for the tip!
  • I'm looking for black distressed skinny jeans that aren't 200 dollars.. go everyone go.
  • H&M's maternity skinny jeans are great!!  Also - is anyone else in love with Hatch Maternity?  I'm obsessed!!!
  • @PerraSucia @MissMerciBeaucoup counterpoint: I got a pair of maternity skinny jeans from H&M last week and haaaaated them.  I'm living in my Liz Lange for Target ponte maternity pants, though.  I'm also on the hunt for black jeans because #teacherlife, so this discussion is relevant to my interests.

@Patience7150 yay!  Pics or it didn't happen!
  • @NiceyMeany I saw an add come up for old navy ones, but I'm such a denim snob :( maybe I will stop by later and try them on if they have them in the store.
  • Also a denim snob, and I bit the bullet and bought a pair of J Brand maternity which are so great and really comfy
  • I tried on a bunch of the jeans & jeggings at Motherhood Maternity and bought my 2 favorites (there was a BOGO50% sale, but I think that might not be the case anymore).  They stock a bunch of different brands and colors and it was useful to try them all on.
  • Also a denim snob, and I bit the bullet and bought a pair of J Brand maternity which are so great and really comfy
my two pairs I wear all the time are 7FAM and AG.. I wore them through my first pregnancy, let a friend have them for hers and now am wearing them for my second.. I think they were worth it.. but now I only have 4 months left and am never doing this again D:
  • @spicyweiner I totally get it but I couldn't help myself and I just missed wearing my regular ones so much!!
Not denim related, but generally I don't think I'll be able to get out of spending a lot on maternity clothes when I get bigger even though it will only be for a few months.  I work in a formal corporate environment, so I can't get away with tunics/leggings/flowy dresses, etc.  Has to be tailored looking and although I just started shopping around, I think it will be a challenge to find.  Pea in the Pod so far is looking like my best option...
  • @NiceyMeany or @Patience7150 were the target flannels in store or online?

  • @MissMerciBeaucoup I'm in a business casual environment and can't do the tunics/leggings/flowy dresses, etc either, although it is still easier than in a business professional office.  I've mostly been stalking the online consignment stores (mostly thredup.com and swap.com) because this will be my last pregnancy and I don't want to spend a ton.

Thredup has a nicer set-up and better pictures/descriptions but cost a little more.  Swap is cheaper, but not as nice to look at it.  I've ordered from Thredup several times without issues even when returning, but I've only ordered from Swap once and for 1 of the 4 items I ordered they sent the wrong thing.  Thredup typically has Motherhood brand pants for $17 and Pea in the Pod for $36.  They both have referral programs, so if you decide you want to give either a try let me know and I'll send you my referral link.  If you order something through a referral link we each get a credit to use.

  • Thanks @silvercamaro77 I will take a look at both!  Appreciate it!
  • @marriedhamstermom
I found mine online since the target stores here really don't carry maternity.

Lol @NiceyMeany maybe it didn't happen...
  • Those look awesome, thank you @Patience7150 and @NiceyMeany!!

  • I finally got part of my Zulilly order!  Everything fits and I'm pretty happy with what I got, but I have to say, the PinkBlush stuff is pretty crappy quality.  I probably won't order from that brand again.  I know a couple of people had wondered about their stuff, so I thought a quick report might be in order.  The fit is fine and everything looks cute, but the material is thin and cheap.  I've had much more luck at a lower cost with H&M and Target!
  • @lfrank12 they're always out of every size except like 0-2 which is like my leg.  :s

@PerraSucia I'm also wearing AG ones right now :/ And while I feel guilty about the cost, they were the best choice I made. I started wearing them about a month ago and I think I will also wear them postpartum because I love the belly band/panel.

For black jeans, try out destination maternity. Their website (and stores) carry things from Motherhood and A Pea in the Pod. That's where I got my AG ones, but they also have the Luxe essentials brand, which would have worked out great for me, except they were way too long for me
  • @NiceyMeany I'm with you on Pink Blush. I had an order from them arrive today, basically a dress that I hope will get me through two weddings and my shower. I think it will do, and it's still a fun design, but it feels very flimsy. I wouldn't get much there that I needed to get heavy use out of.
  • Agree on Pink Blush. I bought a dress (last HDBD dress) and a shirt from them. They're both cute, but neither will be staples because they will fall apart in two months if I wear them regularly. I think their dresses are cute though, and if you get things on sale, the prices aren't terrible for a one/two time wear...
  • So I'm considering diy-ing some maternity jeans out of old jeans that fit me good in the legs and are kind of worn out anyway. Has anyone attempted this? I found some tutorials online, it seems like the easiest thing would be to cut out the pocket area and add in stretchy panels.
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • I'm super annoyed that all the cute leggings are fleece lined. It's too hot for that ish.
  • I'm probably late to the party but I just discovered LeTote. I haven't done it yet but it looks like Netflix for maternity wear.  70 bucks a month 5 outfits at a time (tote) as many totes a month as you can get circulated.   If you keep something then you pay.  I may do it for the last two months.  Anyone done it?
  • I spent too much on just a dress and sweater for a wedding next weekend at the motherhood maternity outlet but at least I finally have a dress I really like and can hopefully wear a lot. The sweater I'll prob wear after my pregnancy too because it doesn't really look maternity. Now I need to look for cheap stuff. I was disappointed at the outlet, I figured there'd be lots of sale items and actually there wasn't much.

  • So I just found a pair of cute jeans on Amazon from Three Seasons Maternity and they have pretty good reviews. And my bff has Prime, so we'll know Wednesday how they do!

@CornchipLA  I've considered it but haven't yet done it. If I'm only able to find boot cut in gap jeans once fall hits, then I'll probably order a pair of my American eagle loves in a size up and then modify the front. I have a pair of h&m skinny jeans that have just the demi panel in the front and I LOVE those...not as crazy about the demi panel all the way around.
  • I got my first H&M order yesterday. I'm really happy with the quality, which hasn't always been my experience with their regular clothes, but I am definitely glad that I ordered up a size. I've been getting L in maternity pants, and their XL fit absolutely perfectly.
