I finally stopped by Motherhood and picked up the Jessica Simpson skinny jeans. I'm not normally a skinny jean person but I really liked these. They are still having their B1G1 on denim for anyone interested.
Ok I did it. i took an old pair of jeans and cut out the front pockets and sewed in elastic panels on the side. It still feels a little tighter than I'd like, I think because it's pretty strong elastic, but I'm giving them a try today and see how it goes.
@pennylucille oh man that's a great job! I don't like front panel jeans because my huge ass just pulls them down all the time.. I need the full panel to keep by shizz covered.
@PerraSucia Thanks! Yeah, I've actually never tried this kind, so I don't know exactly how they're supposed to fit. I did it this way because it seemed a lot easier than adding the full panel, haha, so pretty much laziness. I just wore them for about a hour, and they're kind of uncomfortable. I think I need to make the elastic panels wider so they're not as tight
Is this weird? I'm having trouble with underwear! I am "old school" and prefer thongs to anything that covers my butt, but for some reason they're all starting to be a bit tight. Where's your go-to for buying underwear?

Motherhood Maternity sells Maternity thongs, they're cut lower to avoid the growing bump, but like @AfKash I can't get over the wedgie feeling so I can't say I have any experience wearing them. Their bikini panties are comfy though!
@imalwaysme79 I went to Target and bought some no show or seamless panties. They don't have a waist band so there's nothing to push into your belly, plus they are a really soft silky material. They had some thongs there too. You might try them instead of getting maternity undies that you'll only wear for a few months.

Oooh. I always look for a good excuse to go to Target! I'll check it out.
I just jumped on the maternity clothes wagon. I am desperately looking for black slacks for work. I bought some from thredup.com so we will see how those go. I bought 4 shorts and a sweater today tho.
I cant find my stuff from my first pregnancy and it's making me very sad!
Does anyone else have to wear scrubs for work? I don't actually see patients, but even the managers in our office have to wear scrubs, but I don't really wanna drop 50 bucks a set on Maternity scrubs.
@MrsDramaK I wear scrubs to work too. So far my normal size has been fine. I think the pants will work for a while but I do expect to probably size up my top once my bump starts to really form. I'm not planning on investing in actual maternity style, but I guess we will see what happens.
@MrsDramaK I had to wear scrubs often with one of my last pregnancies. Do you have access to scrub machines or only what you own? Pants fit for a long time for me since I could just tie then low, but tops I had to size up fairly quickly. Can you get away with just pants and t shirt under a cardigan or scrubs cardigan? I have found that most places if you aren't actually interacting with patients can be fairly lenient with pregnancy attire. Unless I was going into an OR(which only rarely happens these days) if I need to wear scrubs I typically pair with a t shirt to make it easier. Also I found tucking in a long tank top or wearing a belly band helped keep my scrub bottoms up.
I found maternity jeans at Ross yesterday that I love for $16. I was a little surprised by their selection and how cheap everything was. It's not the best quality, but for as long as we're going to be wearing it, it's not too bad.
@megan6788 Yep, I've been checking Ross pretty much weekly because they get new stuff so often, and they rotate through and put stuff on clearance pretty quick. I got a pair of maternity jeans for $15 and a pair of black maternity pants for $6 on clearance!
@CornchipLA I had a regular (non-maternity) LeTote subscription for a long time and LOVED it, but I had a horrible allergic reaction after wearing a dress I got from them, and I cancelled my subscription because I was too grossed out. Their shipping can take forever and I had a few issues with damaged pieces, but otherwise I was happy with the program for a while. I wouldn't rent from them again because I feel like if one piece was contaminated, a whole bunch of others must have been, too. I let the company know about what happened and they were basically like "nope no way you could have had a reaction to our magical perfect clothing." That really put me off, too.
Anyone have underwear recommendations? I fit in my usual undies, but I have a variety of styles and yesterday I was wearing a pair of granny panties (because they are the only ones that don't show under my white maxi-skirt) and realized they were feeling a lot more comfortable than my other undies. Sadly, they have no label.
My newly HUGE ass is eating my bikini style undies, resulting in a perma wedgie most of the time. Thongs are a no-go thanks to my dear hemmie friends, so I too would like some comfy underwear recs!
I'm just living in cheap-ass cotton Hanes for now. I don't wear a lot where panty lines are an issue. My underwear selection does need a major overhaul, but I'll save that until after I'm back to normal-ish.

Omg my ass grew over the weekend, I swear. Wtf?! I totally had the perma wedge all week

Relieved to know I'm not the only one with an ever expanding ass.
I got some under-the-bump undies off Amazon that i love. I sized up based on the reviews (and - i think - them coming from China) and they fit really well all around.
I also ordered maternity underwear off amazon. They are size 1,000,000 because they are not US sizes. So I just followed the size chart and they are super comfortable!
I hate all of my underwear that has a real waist band that cuts into the bump now.
@WinchesterGirl same here. My only underwear that are comfortable now are my "fancy" ones that have lace at the top instead of elastic. All my regular cotton ones with elastic feel like they're digging into my belly. I think I might have to order some of those too
Went to motherhood maternity today and spent WAY too much, but I'm now fully maternity outfitted for going back to the office in two weeks! As a result, you are all going to see a new outfit every HDBD.
I even bought one of those cheesy t-shirts that says, "Then snuggle is real". I have no shame, apparently.

I've used the search button, and I've also skimmed through these. Sorry if this was discussed and I missed it, but I'm wondering where to find a good maternity cocktail dress. My husband's work place has a Christmas party every year, and I'll need a nice dress. Normally I wait until last minute and it's no big deal, but I've never noticed any of my usual stores carrying any options for pregnant women, so I figured I might want to have some stores in mind to check out once the time comes. I never dressed up being pregnant before, and hardly do any major maternity shopping so I'm clueless. Oh and I've also googled but most everything is online ordering, but I'd prefer to try it on before I buy. Any suggestions?
I ordered some from ASOS and they are pretty cute. Not the best quality, but not bad per say. Just make sure you pick the USA site. I did the whole cart and realized I was on the English site. Whoops
